Who is Red John?

Theories of FuckRedJohn (9)

SPOILERS DOWN BELOW!!

Just watched the latest episode 'Green Thumb' and I got agitated that Cho (to me) didn't get enough air time! NOOO I LOVE THAT DUDE! On another note the episode was actually pretty good, like Jane manipulating the FBI, funny as! Loving Lisbon, Jane and Cho, yet to feel a liking towards Abbott and Fishsticks. The new dude they're introducing 'Coyote' seems so timid (like Harold from Suits, if anyone watches that) haha, I'm betting he's going to be like the new Grace with all the computer shiz. Still hoping that the Red John thing will be explained via a flashback episode.

Can't wait for next week's ep.

PS I miss you 'Red John' (I actually hope there's a twist and that McAllister is not Red John.. but yeah only wishful thinking.)

The Patridge death scene has really got me stumped. Lisbon didn't get killed is understandable since she is a main character and she is essential to the show but what I don't get is why
People are theorizing that McAllister was going to kill her but then the pigeons scared him away, but if he has such a phobia how can he stand staying there for sufficient time to draw the smiley on her face. I'm going to make a stab at an assumption that he already made the decision to not kill her when he started to draw the smiley on her face, since the smiley would usually be done with the victim's blood.. and possibly after they're killed.. ? SO YEAH overall WHY DIDN'T HE KILL HER? Was it just a warning to Jane that he could kill her at anytime? It feels like Heller just planted random clues with no elaborate reasoning and made up random scenes with no thorough explanation.

I sure hope they explain it later in the episodes because there are so many things bugging me.

You know how there was this one episode that Jane reflects on his carni days throughout the episode? Like when he was younger how he was helping his father scam people etc etc..

WELL.. I think they should dedicate one WHOLE episode instead of a reflection (they actually did that really well, like provide a back story etc) on the development of Red John like how he started.. with the Visualize barn and everything and eventually maybe dedicate the last 10/15 minutes on the clues we received throughout the seasons.. and maybe how Red John contacted Timothy Carter and everything, where all our unanswered questions will make sense and see how each one relates to another.

I HOPE THEY DO THIS! I will feel so satisfied.

PS Sorry if someone already mentioned this, just expressing my thoughts :P

I feel like I wasted nearly 3905 years pondering about who Red John is. I really hope this rough cut is a bloody joke!

To watch:

1. Download Firefox
2. Download the add on 'anonymox' if you're out of the US, then change country to US
3. Download Adobe (if you don't have it already or it won't run, and it'll come up with some swf shit)
4. Go to this link http://player.ooyala.com/static/cacheable/00414986a05cc697224dbee8ea46160e/player_v2.swf?embedCode=`...

Kudos to the first person who first posted this.

I really regret watching it, but my curiosity killed me, if I could I would take it back.. just a warning.
Have fun.

One of my favourite scenes of The Mentalist!

'No.. but I know you.'

Oh man.. love it! I hope Corrigan gets at least some screen time next episode, even if it's a flashback, love seeing him act, oh and it would be wonderful if Robert/Michael Kirkland some how ends up being Red John, but I see that it's very unlikely now, which is a shame really :(

By the way. did anyone found it odd when Rigsby asked Cho and Van Pelt if they were really okay to kill the boss?

To honest, I'm kind of disappointed.. it's quite evident in the promo that McAllister may be Red John, I guess it's better than Bertram though. I hope they're both just big Red Herrings and the writers created some eccentric twist the next episode that explains EVERYTHING. From all the clues we received, whether they were just misdirections or it'll make us think 'Oh yeah! It's so obvious.' when watching over previous episodes.

It's really hard to accept McAllister or Bertram seducing a woman like Lorelei Martins, who is, let's be honest, young-ish and could be perceived as hot, when they seem pretty old and really.. how can someone be attracted to them? Unless they have this really seductive side to them, which would be expected I guess since Red John has like hidden identities. Thinking back I can recall McAllister acting like the biggest pervert towards Grace when she was undercover.. or maybe it was all planned or something, but seriously how can McAllister be that charismatic to obtain such loyalty? He seemed so repulsive during that episode haha.

I would honestly love if Red John was Ray Haffner (highly doubtful) or Brett Patridge (100% sure he's dead though, like how can Cho not notice?or Michael/Bob Kirkland (that's a stretch though). I find them most charming from the list of 7, well not really Patridge but the writer's can easily manipulate him into one that is charismatic enough to get such a follow (can be for the others too I guess, but to me Patridge makes more sense).

As for Bret Stiles and Reede Smith, we can probably deduce that Smith is DEFINITELY not Red John, I would laugh if he was and he would bring humour into the situation. Stiles in my opinion would work but he's just too old so it's weird.

I'm just working from the list of 7, assuming that Red John is on list, but I actually wouldn't mind if he's Walter Mashburn. Would be such a twist and the explanation would be intriguing.

If it's either McAllister or Bertram I feel that the suspense and the excitement I possessed during the show will slowly deteriorate, it's too obvious.

My opinion, feel free to ridicule! :)

I love how it's already Sunday in Australia but I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to watch :(
Anyways, does anyone know if there's going to be a season 7 after this season?
I'm going to be so sad when The Mentalist ends. Although as predictable as it is, when they end, hope they end it with Jane and Lisbon getting together or something, like a peaceful ending with no cliffhangers (like Jane actually didn't kill Red John LOL and he's still out there or something)!

Just more than 24 hours to go for episode 7 finally! Been waiting for this episode for 2 weeks, bring it on! Hopefully everything will start to be thoroughly explained.

I really want to know what happened to Kristina Frye, how Red John seems to be able to read Jane's mind (e.g his happy memory of Eileen), the 'He is mar' clue, etc etc etc. Hopefully everything is explained so all the loose ends will be tied up with finally the reveal of Red John himself. Hopefully he has that creepy soft voice on when Jane supposedly kills him in the park.

Oh yeah and the pigeons in the house Brett Patridge was killed was that suppose to kill Lisbon's happy memory? Her office or her must be bugged if so. Just my opinion.
