Who is Red John?

Theories of mikefit (43)

Point of interest. When Lisbon finds SMith in the house, he is on the floor in one room, but Jane and Bertram are in an adjacent room. How is it those two are in different room than Smith. Also, the area where Hafner and Stiles should be...no Hafner or Stiles. Also, when the big blast happens that blows Lisbon off her feet, there are no shadows in any windows of the house where she is approaching..all interesting...

Vote for the one that sounds best (even tho its prob none of these)
THE BOMB
1. Stiles had Hafner bring it to fake Stiles death and neither are RJ
1a. Stiles had Hafner bring it to fake Stiles death and Hafner is RJ but Stiles does not know this when he enlists him for this trick.
2. PJ set it up along with Stiles (and maybe Hafner too) to fake Stiles death
3. McAllister brought it to kill everyone but is not RJ
3a. McAllister brings it because he is RJ
4. PJ and Stiles alone set it up
5. Bertram brought it to take out Reed and McAllister since they are exposed BLAKE agents...
6. RedJohn brought the bomb and is one of the people in the room
7. RJ brought it but is not one of the folks in the room
8. PJ trusts McAllister, they together are planning something but the bomb interupts it.
8a. Same as 8 but the bomb is part of their plan
9. PJ trusts Hafner and they are working together with some trick at the house (bomb or no bomb)
10. Add another scenario to this please someone???

I can't stand when people comment to someone elses' post by creating a new topic rather than using the comment feature ("My comment is so important I don't want it to get lost in the comments section..."), but I have to reply to Vertus' recent posting to make one point.
Its a good posting, but let's clear up something that people have been stating as fact for two weeks now.

It is not accurate to say Reed is giving Bertram an order when he says, "It's your job to know the answer." In fact, while it is possible it could be an order, it is much more likely it is not. A much more likely explanation is like when a subordinate doesn't have enough information and says to a commander/superior, "You need to be giving me the info I need in order for me to do my job. You are the one in charge after all." That seems much more likely. Even if that isn't the case, the point is to stop using that scene as clear evidence that Smith is ranked higher than Bertram. He truly appears to be deferring to the person in the group who is likely to be most in the loop and who has more responsibility than the others. Also, BLAKE is not a military group, my guess is that there are not clear distinctions at a lot of different levels of hierarchy. It does seem reasonable to think though that Bertram has a higher standing than Reed. I doubt either is the head or even the number 2 in the organization.

Reed was just some druggy cop they turned into an errand boy to cover up his mistake.

Either way, neither of these guys is RJ.

My last post of the night. I was thinking about what someone said earlier, that there are a few hundred of us "obsessed" with this show and the theories and a few million that are watching more leisurely, and a twist for them may not be or need to be as intricate as what we are all discussing. I'll lose a lot of people on this next comment, but I'm not going to dive too much into why, but I am eliminating all but McAllister and Hafner.

I think for the average viewer out there, BP is truly dead and wont accept him coming back. They have to rule out Bertram and Smith after last episode. Stiles is too old. Kirkland didnt know the list of 7 but RJ did. This leaves Tom and Ray.

So the audience already goes in wondering if someone else survived the blast.

I go with Hafner because McAllister is shown in the promo and I got to think that's intentional. It seems to me the best twist for the general viewer will be to reveal Hafner. Yes partially that is me wishful thinking. I want to see him in that kill scene with Jane in the park.

I also like HappyCools "Handshake theory" that eliminates all but Hafner, but I think that theory is somewhat flawed too.

Another random thought... The idea of Stiles "knowing more than both PJ and RJ" could tie in nicely with a theory whereby Jane agrees to disapear Stiles (and maybe Hafner too) in exchange for info. Perhaps Stiles has RJ-pertinent info but doesn't know who exactly is RJ. Bear with me...

Maybe Stiles knows about the Blake Assoc. (maybe somehow he knows this through Visualize spying or some other way). Stiles trades that info to Jane.
Jane agrees and now knows the 3-Dots are not RJ but rather just the dirty cops. Stiles agrees to play along with PJ's "hoax" at the house so long as nobody is killed. So maybe no one in the house is killed and the dead bodies are cadavers with planted DNA...for this to bear out, either Hafner and Stiles have to plant their DNA and maybe McAllister cuts of his hand or something to leave his and to get away (since they now know hes Blake Assoc...). Another option is that McAllister calls in a Blake favor and has the lab lie about the DNA...

That's about as far as I get with this thought...I also am not saying any of this is what I think will happen. I just want to throw out a group of ideas.

I always comment for all of you folks, so I'd love to get some thoughts on the pieces involved here..

As I said before, I think Stiles is the one that says "No, wait" before the bomb goes off. So is he saying that to Jane so he doesn't shoot? DOes he say it to the guy sitting next to him (Hafner-with a detonator...)

For those whove been more attentive than me, there was a spoiler here earlier about a stuntman confirming he was McAllisters stunt man and that McAllister is RJ. Did others see this? Has it been confirmed or debunked? I hope its not a true spoiler. I'd be fine with McAllister, but I don't want to know know it before the episode. Say it aint so. I want to be tricked!
