Simon Baker's actuall quotes:
1)
"I get such profound satisfaction working with Bruno, because he understands me and I understand him. It's really pure luck we found each other. It's very rare. I can be a real pain in the ass with the wrong types of people. The last thing I want to do is come to work each day and not be challenged. What's the fun in taking it easy? Let's push it!" -----Yeah man you really pushed that one, good job.

2) "
Bruno appreciates the genesis of the Patrick Jane character, what drives him, and that he comes from a very tragic place. And you can't fluff it off. You have to honor that." -----Best honoration ever Simon and Bruno, or should I say: The Dynamic Duo ?

3) I don't ever want to mess up the experience for the audience. I want them to enjoy the show as much as they do, from the first episode to the very last. I don't want to screw up that relationship at all. -----I don't know what to say, really.

REALLY SIMON ?! really? If he had any balls, he would have said: "I won't play this, this is bullshit and you are ruining 8 years of my work...of our work" It didn't happen. I hope he will watch the finale sometimes and tells himself: "Maybe I could have prevented this from happening, maybe I could have done more." Such a shame and disgrace. Ruining this beatiful, well-written story and for what? MONEY? Shame yourselves, all you greedy bastards.

I honestly think this is the first show in history where the antagonist was falsely revealed and it was left up to the audience to surmise who he was.
We all know Macalister was not Red John for 100 different reason
The biggest reason is that Macalister is NOTHING like Jane.
And we learned by two people that Jane and Rj are two peas in a pod.
Could Red John of walked out the back door with nobody noticing ?

*Red John loves Jane more than anyone on earth.
Rj taught Jane a lesson.
Played a game with him.
Then used him to take down the Ba.
Maybe the Ba did something to piss Rj off?
-Red John from the very beginning was leaving breadcrumbs for Jane.
It all started with the poem tiger tiger...
The way all the clues fell on Janes lap...Partridge, Sophie Millers tapes, Lisbon Spared, Kira Tinsley, etc
Leads us to believe someone was leading him this whole time...

My favorite example of this was the Dumar Tanner Rosaline Harker episode.
Red John wanted Jane to meet her.
Wanted him to see the smiley.
Wanted him to read the letter.
And wanted him to learn about Roy Tagliaferra...
When Jane thought he was getting closer he was really just where Rj wanted him...

So in the end i guess since Rj loved Jane so much he decided to give him what he wanted. A red john of sorts...
Red John tied Macalister up nice and neat with a bow for Jane.
Ending his hellish sad excuse for a life filled with regret from the death of his family.
Even the usb was planted there for cbi to easily find...

Maybe Jane being of split personalities left himself clues.
And in the end killing Macalister also killed Janes alter ego ?
Ehhh prob not...

But anyway who do you think snuck out the back door?

Finally forced myself to watch the finale on the web.

What a cheesy, disappointing, totally out of original Mentalist character ending.  :-(

The only upside is that all of us original fans (seasons 1-3) have been finally put out of our misery.

Why does it say at the end of the episode that watch for sneak peaks of our next episode?

WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO TO THIS SHOW??? WHY??? THIS HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST BALLDROP TRAINWRECK IN TV HISTORY !!!!!! ..........The Red John character/storyline was the most compelling thing on tv for the first 3 seasons .....Timothy Carter was the perfect Red John.....they should have ended RJ then and Season 4 could have been the "New Beginning" .........Season 5 have the B.A. as the villian. Season 6 C.B.I. Killer/ JISBON ................................................NOT A RJ FAKEOUT FOLLOWED BY 2 SEASONS OF A RJ JERKOFF....THEN THEY PICKED MCRedJohn OUT OF A HAT.......THEN IN ABOUT A SEASON INTRODUCE --"NEW BEGGINING" , ABBOTT, WHYLIE, FISHER.....CBI KILLER...JISBON....they dismantled the B.A. off screen and killed off Stiles and Haffner off screen .....they never mentioned RJ again ..... McRJ .....what a fuckin joke on us

If you re-watch closely the 6x08 "Red John", you'll notice something quite unnerving... Something much worse than RJ being McAllister...

Don't get it?

It's that, basically, you can replace McAllister by ANYONE ELSE with the same scenes and dialogues... IT WILL WORK THE SAME.

Neither McAllister, Jane, or anyone else refers something specific to McAllister... It's just... random!!! It could have been whatever suspect you'd like, the pizza guy... the scenes would have worked the same!!

I really wonder if this episode was written without any suspect in mind, just with "insert random RJ guy" for McAllister scenes, and then 3 minutes before shooting the episode, some guy came and say "oh hey it'll be McAllister I've just called Xander Berkeley he can come and do the episode right now!!".

RJ from 6x08 was just a fraud. The only RJ who can be acknowledged was the RJ from 3x24. The guy had it all...

Now that The Mentalist is over this web site should become a support group for fans of the Red John Saga.........how great would the series finale have been if the serial killer was Red John instead of some Criminal Minds killer of the week......
