My second pick was dead on, however the reson for this post is that I entertain the thought, that the real red john reveal has not happened yet.

I get that heller said its done, however the clues just dont add up. I like macallister as rj, however something sticks out as this being a red herring.  

Since you are reading this, I ask you to reevaluate the clues and then consider the alternative narrative of rj still being very much alive.
