I think one of the three suspects will die this episode and at the trailer of the Red John episode the voice will say '' Only 2 Suspects Left.''

Green: Red John is Brett Partridge. I know it, Patrick knows it and soon the whole world will know it! Muahaha!

Red: Stop with the Partridge nonsense. The guy is dead.

Another interesting thing is

Reede Smith was shot Robert ''Bob'' Kirkland 7 times at S06E04.
Wayne Rigsby said ''He was shot six times in the back.'' 
Kimball Cho said ''Six doesn't sound so reluctant.''
Wayne Rigsby said ''No, it doesn't.'' at S06E05.

Also Robert ''Bob'' kirkland said ''...real straight shooter.''  about Reede Smith at S06E04.

Maybe it's reference about previous episodes and the list, you know, like '' Six isn't right, because Brett Partridge isn't dead...''.

Ok people .I have been reading your theories since 3-4 months now.I am going to comment for the first time if I do not get lazy again

Firstly when I found this website.I got angry because I thought it will take away the shock value of the series.Everyone I could think of and not think of were here .Including patrick (Which i think is ridiculous )But then all the main  purpose of these movies,tv series etc is not to give shock but bring forth involvement in people in otherwise mundane life.Trust me we got more involvement through this rather than getting to know about red john in one shot.May be it would have been shocking but the total amount of mental game and involvement we went through would not have been same

now I go to my theory

Until now I thought .If its a correct list ,Bruno tried to become over smart by revealing the list of redjohn suspects one season before.Suddenly it occurred to me what if its a ultimate master manipulation played by legendary jane. You see we have two scenarios

1. List if wrong .Those who believe in this scenario will assume that red john is definitely not among these 7 people now . Jane have no idea about red john or maybe even know and he is laying some trap to reveal him

2.List if right :Those who believe this scenario will assume that Jane does not exactly know who he is . Thats why he has a list not a suspect.

But what if patrick exactly knows about red john .That red john is there in list and he has developed a fake list around for some deeper plan ??This will beat both the scenarois .What if he knows about red john since long back (Maybe season 5 start ).This has been the modus operandi of the show.Patrick finds  out about the suspect in some what middle of show and lay some master plan to to reveal him in the end.Every one thinks he is complacent but he is more aware then anyone

What if he knows about him and is not killing him directly for some reason.What if he does not want to kill him now.That would be too less a punishment for red john.He wants to raise all his philosophies,cult ,followers to ground .He wants to show red john who he has messed up this time For that he has layed a ultimate master plan which he has set after meeting lorelei  .List is a part of that plan .What if everything from season  5 start is being carefully crafted by jane .All this breaking into jane's room,lisbon kidnapping ,lorelie video ,list are a part of carefully crafted plan.What if bret patridge is actually a friend of jane .He used him in lisbon's kidnapping .Thats why she was not killed .I might br wrong about this one .People are thinking that this blast in season 6 was by jane .Yes it was a part of a plan but plan  which has not started from season 6  but from long back.

 

First of all , i am perfectly aware that Mashburn isn't on the list. But the fact that he was casted as "red john" on imdb.com but afterwards removed , has to mean something (tho knowing Bruno Heller it's everything but the truth lol) .. maybe just another trick.  BUT, i still think that imdb.com posted who really is RJ but BH afterwards asked for it to be removed, because they already filmed 8th episode and it was just a normal update on imdb.  
 NOW, why would possibly Walter Mashburn be red john?(I posted this theory 6-7 months ago)

1. Since every RJ accomplice said to Patrick Jane that they are alike, they have that same charisma and a way of carrying themselfs,he is not sneaky and the kind of a creepy guy who hides in his basement. He is a good manipulator , so why would you believe anything that Rosalind Harker said? She could be  :   a) lying ( and patrick jane couldn't detect it because he always looks at people's eyes to find out whether they're lying) 
 b) it maybe true ( because Walter Mashburn fits the description, so there's that.)
(And also, i know you guys loved his character on the show ( Waler Mashburn ) which means that he has that natural way of manipulating )

2.The mentalist is not just about Patrick Jane, but also about Red John , because he is "the mentalist" too, they are perfectly alike , they are the same. So it makes perfect sense that they would get along when they meet ( not like Brett Partridge whom Patrick Jane can't stand)

3. The fact that in 6 seasons, Walter was the only one who could seduce Lisbon to sleep with him, which : a) proves that PJ and RJ have the same taste and interests.     
b) Imagine the scenario where Lisbon has to admit to PJ that she slept with the person who killed his family. I mean, it writes itself ! lol

4. Alright , this is a big one. 
Walter Mashburn while having lunch with PJ and Lisbon said that his 3. wife was all into this mystical psychic stuff.  HIS THIRD WIFE WAS CHRISTINA FRYE. 
a) She knew and was sure 100% that his PJ's daughter never woke up when RJ killed her. 
b) When RJ kidnapped her, he didn't kill her because he liked her, she was his wife . He just hypnotized her.
( PJ likes lisbon , and so does RJ. Same goes for christina , PJ dated her for a while, THIS PROVES THAT THEY ARE 100% ALIKE.)
c) final episode of 2nd. season : last thing that RJ said to PJ when he was trapped : " christina would want me to send her love , she's very fond of you despite your differences" ( like he knows christina very well and their differences.)

5. Red John didn't know patrick when he killed his family . But now when he does, he doesn't want to hurt him anymore. In his own way, he loves patrick, he wants to be his friend. 
That's why the only two people over 6 seasons that RJ spared were lisbon and christina. ( 2 women that Patrick obviously liked )
