Uh... Im really tired of Partridge's theories... I know he would be a great Red John, I thought he was Red John till the beginning of season 6 and then I started looking at facts, reading interviews and putting things together.
OK Jack Plotnick (Partridge's actor) said that he was playing Partridge as he was Red John the whole time. That's why everyone is so convinced that its him.
Its a trick that Heller played to us so everyone will believe its him till season 6, and yes he has too many fans that still stick to him.
Additionally, the actor that plays Red John said he was stunned and fluttered when he learned that he will play Red John, which ofc doesn't fit with Plotnick who was playing Partridge like he was Red John.
I try to minimize the people that write Partridge theories because its getting annoying, Partridge is not Red John please choose someone else and stick with him otherwise you will be really disappointing.

I wanted to note that Red John didn't just killed Partridge but he also hit him, he had bruises on his faces which is a little bit weird. For me it indicates that he did something wrong and Red John punished him. Best thing i can guess is that he gave away himself as not being Red John and reducing Jane's list to 6 suspects when Patrick looked him in the eye.
Sorry if my post disappointed you,,, but please dont trick yourself, open your eyes, do not just see what you wanna see otherwise you will be blind to the truth.
My MentalTwist Exegesis.
Jane knows he has been bugged and spied on in cbi. He used this to his advantage. Jane made two list. Both were fake. There is a real list as bruno heller said but i think it stayed in pjs mind or notebook. Kirkland takes the first one and red john knows this because of his people in the fbi. Red john thru spying with moles, and wire taps found out about janes other list.(who knows how) Jane purposively put on the list names of men he did not shake hands with as a trap. Or at least a few fake names. Jane knew rj would feast his eyes or ears on the second list so he faked it knowing this would reveal how rj got it. Revealing his identity to jane only. The first list was a trick. Making the second list look like the truth but there both tricks basically.
Red john thinks he's one step ahead because he believes he is watching jane plant a decoy and keep the real list when in reality jane is pulling a double move . Red john wants tiger tiger dealt with and uses jane to do so. Red john then plants the info for jane with Sophie miller . The info was descriptions of the tiger tiger members different neuroses. Jane knows this . Rj does not know jane knows this. Jane gathers the people on the list . Jane fakes macalister, styles , and haffners death to lower the list to two. Jane knows red john is waiting till the end to make his move ;) Reed smith is taken in and deemed not red john . Bertram is janes checkmate . This forces red johns hand for obvious egotistical reasons. Red john thinks jane believes its Bertram. Jane knows better . Next episode jane will decode the usb and find a secret tiger tiger safe meet up point at the church. Red john shows up after jane shoots Bertram. Jane chases him to the park. The rest is history.
Thoughts ?
If Red John isn't one of the 3 "burned" suspects, how do you explain that 3 bodies are identified after the explosion? If one of them escaped, who is the third body ?
