Calling Bertram Red John is to mock the real Red John, that was obvious.
Bertram is scared to get caught and he gets stuff from a vault by the name Thomas.
We could see wine in the vault.
Wine is famous and made in Napa Valley.
The sheriff of Napa Valley has the name Thomas McAllister.
Red John used Reede Smith to get information from the FBI, so Red John isn't an FBI agent.
If we can trust the list of 7 suspects then..:
Brett Patridge is murdered, Bob Kirkland is murdered, Bret Stiles, Ray Haffner and Sheriff Thomas McAllister have died in the garden house bombing.
Then this could mean that Red John is going to be resurrected from the 'dead'.(He survived)
Thomas is scared of pigeons, he has the same build as the guy who walks in the church and the same hairline as the one who jumps through the window.
If we don't focus on the promo, Thomas was always into mini games with Jane, he likes him somehow and it could be explained in the next episode.
We have to remember though that promos are cut and paste work by a person who wants to trigger a certain conclusion by the viewers.

It could be that the resurrection of one of the dead guys, probably Thomas will be the twist. Or it could be a bigger twist. Bruno probably knows that people are researching on their own. He is a great writer, and it takes courage to reveal Red John already in episode 8 instead of the season finale.

Nick Nordella is going to act in episode 8 as the young man. Make comparison between the two photos.

I think the bright blue eyes and the mouth do look alike.

A bonus for the BP fans:

Look at the end scene in season 6 episode 1.the general public assumes that Red John has killed partridge. but  It is known that Red John is almost 6 feet tall and look at the way Lisbon was snatched. it clearly looks that someone pulled her from below...Red John doesnt seem like a person who'd crouch and attack.. No, since Lisbon was pulled from below, it implies that the one pulling her was on the floor. And who was on the floor gentlemen?! Brett Partridge... There are various other clues as well. BP says in the pilot episode that "He's stoked to see one in the flesh", but he later says that he has been at all the RJ murder scenes.. Why would he say that?! I think his pilot episode dialogue was meant to target Patrick Jane, as he was meeting him for the 1st time there... Not the RJ murder.

The five stages of Red John grief are:

1-Denial-"this can't be happening"
2-Anger-"why him?"
3-Bargaining-"if you dont pick who i want, i'll hate you forever"
4-Depression-"what is there to live for if it isn't my suspect"
5-Acceptance-"I do not know everything"

You will heal, even if you cannot
believe that now, just know that it is true. To feel butthurt after failure is
normal. It proves that you are alive and that you are overdramatic. But you can't stop watching. You have to become smarter, while not shutting off your common sense for the
hope of one day being healed and finding the clues again.
Helping others through similar butthurt is a wonderful way
to fascilitate your healing and bring good out of all the whining.

Sunday spoilers; press unlikely if you must, b....no one says you had to read this. I omitted a few explanations, but I kept in the most important explanations

McAllister appears in church pretending to be Red John. Patrick shoots him. McAllister asks for mercy. Then the strangest thing happens. Patrick tells him he's done and he wants to be left alone.

Patrick goes to his family's burial site. McAllister taunts Patrick. Then Patrick chases after him. It ends with McAllister revealing he's not Red John. He says Bertram, who is supposedly Red John wants to meet with Patrick, with no one else around, in a park.

FBI agents try to disrupt the meeting, but the former CBI team have Patrick's back. Patrick takes Teresa's gun as a prop. He talks to Bertram. He says he's done. He gives Bertram the gun and tells him to leave him alone or kill him because he's tired of this game. Patrick gets up and walks away.

After a minute or so, "Hi." Brett Partridge appears. They exchange dialogue. Red John reaches out to him and tells him how we was a step ahead all along. It turns out he bugged Teresa and that's why he spared her. All of Red John's tricks were heavily reliant of surveillance technology and the compliance of disciples. It was no surprise to hear Haffner had the biggest role as a Red John disciple, while Bret Stiles supplied him with all the followers he needed. When he's done Patrick laughs at the floor. Patrick Jane, unleashes the details of his mammoth plan which began with figuring out Red John was Brett Partridge using Lorelei Martins and Rosalynd Harker.

He knew all along Lisbon would be bugged, and fed her the list, which was actually a list of people Patrick thought were disciples of Red John. Patrick explains how wrong he was to think this. Kirkland, Smith, McAllister and Bertram were all trying to catch him, they were in Tyger Tyger as spies, with the exception of Kirkland. When Patrick blew up his house, they all became part of Patrick's double con on Red John. There are flashbacks to what happened in Patrick's house. For much of the season 5 and season 6, Patrick only fed Lisbon what he wanted Red John to think. Even at Patrick's house the gunshot and explosion misinformed Red John because Lisbon's phone is outside in Patrick's car. They happened, but no one dies. Haffner and Stiles were revealed to be alive and in the custody of Bob Kirkland. And Patrick's biggest blow to Red John is when he says the flash drive left by Bertram, it contained the names of every person in the Blake Association .

Red John begins to run. Patrick chases. When he's cornered Red John asks if Patrick remembers him. Patrick says yes. There's a flashback to the carnival. Patrick tackles him at the exact time the flashback starts. As the flashback finishes, the and the boy with the pigeons fades, red John's facial similarities are highlighted. Patrick is strangling him, and you can see he's savouring the moment. The episode ends with FBI breaking into Patrick's attic and arresting Patrick. While he's being transported, an agent says Bob Kirkland sends his regards, and Patrick is released out into the sunshine. Some sad but triumphant music plays more than once. It's nostalgic of earlier seasons. Closure at last.

posted Minelli theories 2 weeks back, reposting them. as now ppl are
getting rid of lame ideas finally. and the guy in church from back is
likely a thin minelli - balding etc.

ok guys, first of all,
kudos to heller for creatng such a marveland to baker for such a lively
and impeccable portrayal of jane. now to business here.

so what do you think PJ is? a wannabee kid detective who would wait for
the clues in a treasure hunt to fetch the biggest motive of his life?
and what would the creator of the show think? they make sure his plan is
revealed only in teh end of even the pettiest of his tricks and this is
the magnum opus of his life.....and 4
people other than him know
it.....wow......i dont buy it and it makes for a boring chase as well i
think.  also, you think rj being rj, is still going to be lured by pj
into all these silly tricks..like showing his 3 dots to a person right
when the heat is on and that person has had a contact with cbi..and do
you think pj thinks so lowly of rj tht he will commit such rookie
mistakes which btw he dint commit when he was a rookie

      so
jane is playing the big strategy in this masterful chess game to trap
the king..the biggest move he has made imo to date is the list of fake
rj suspects,
not the one he gave to kirkland (or planted) but the one he showed to
lisbon......i think he requested lorelei (maybe) to shoot that video tape for him
when they were together and he put those 7 names there just to confuse
everyone
around him..and he promptly destroyed the dvd which is suspicious...so i
think he is just confusing everyone else and even rj if he is too
active in bugging his space..and eventually he would say this is the
man i knew from before was rj and just wanted to trap him as he was so clever......and my vote is on Virgil Minneli..
reasons

1- minelli has been brought twice in the show after resigning and both the
times they meant something (at least the santa episode). why bring a
busy artist to work when thr cud have been 10 ways pj cud have got that
list..and in tht episode minelli said and i quote "thanks for opening my
eyes to some ugly truths i had been avoiding like being  fish killer".....obviously he needed to resume killing people as rj......much with the vacations.....also, "you're nuts my freind".

2- minelli went on vacation just before the mexico killing. aybe then it was a red
herring as it was the first season but en the writers knew they'd get  more seasons they'd say "why not use that bit when its faded from memory'

3-  they shook hands in episode 100 flashback.

4- he is well connected and powerful and has a charismatic personality and is also a renowned actor. now come on u dnt want rj to be played by some dummy actor..

5-  once you warm up to this theory, u'd read mcuh between the minelli lines.

I've changed it back to Partridge again! Hahaha just found out his name Partridge actually means literally a lecherous bird. The pigeons were a sign literally of redjohn's identity!
