The actor who plays Mcallister is a really great actor Its just bad writing and a very dry ending. The problem is really with the red john profile. It changed from an artistic serial killer with a great twisted mind to a leader of a secret organisation. He killed more with plain guns than his real killings. Even if he is a simple guy who likes to shoot everything with a face he is not good at being simple either. I think this secret organisation thing planted into show to make things easier for red john and explaining easier why he can get away with anything but it took his intelligence too also the writers creativity they just choose the easy way. say tiger tiger and every things all right. And for fucks sake all the clues? are we deluded did we just made them up!? just explain it we can leave fbi-cbi bullshit to next episode. I can understand why Patrick didn't care how red john did what he did but we do. agghhh never mind. I WILL NEVER WATCH A WEEK TO WEEK SERIES AGAIN. Only good old serialised quality shows. I think writers got used to tie things in a really lazy way.

This whole season definitely feels rushed (the blake association? really? stupid.) and even though both actors did a great job, I still feel let down. The episode itself wasn't so bad, it did deliver, but I just wish things had been done differently. The pigeon was a nice touch.
Lots of stuff is left unanswered and I just don't picture Red John as a hick sheriff. I mean, I guess the name Red John itself is pretty backwoods so maybe it should have been obvious from the beginning...

I'd have loved for RJ to be Dean Harken, Brett Partridge, Walter Mashburn, or Ray Haffner.

The Season 3 finale was better than this Red John finale

Where is the Red John music that sends shivers down my spine. ha? HA????

I hated the reveal. Not because i wanted rj to be whomever , but because it was boring. Seriously the whole team in the car held down by some random fbi guy. Yuck . I wanted cho to tackle somebody :(
But as i look deeply at it and look past how boring it was . Maybe red john wasnt much of a serial killer . Maybe the real bad guy/guys and the real enemy in the hiw was tiger tiger or the blake boys haha. They are a huge currupt illuminati organization that kills many people not just 8 people with a smiley face.
MACALISTER created TIGER TIGER but was RED JOHN just a name he used to cover up certain things? Like murdering bosco and the crew? Wither way i got the impression that red john is just some guy. Not a magician, a god or a psychic but just a dude . A guy who was the head of a elite group that did horrible things . A group thats still around by the way. We got carried away because we thought red john was a mysterious magical
