I love this show and I enjoy these theories posted by all of you so much. I have something to say about the recent posts that RJ had been identified and the picture of someone in the church and being strangled by PJ. It shows a lack of respect for the rest of us who have not seen, and will not see, the "RJ" reveal episode this upcoming Sunday evening. I can't stress enough how I hope this is not the real episode. I can't imagine it being the real deal, since none of the previous episodes, to my knowledge, have been leaked prior to that particular episode being revealed. I know that you all have been waiting for the answer to the RJ question for over 5 years now, and how much this show means to so many. I can only hope we have not prematurely found out what is going to happen on Sunday when we watch in our different time zones. Can't wait until Sunday!
Ok, so I just finished watching the leaked episode. And I'm having mixed feelings about it.

Regarding the whole "It's a fake episode thing" everyone seems to be going at right now, I don't think it's a fake. But rather a rough cut of what the actual episode is going to look like. Some scenes that were in this rough cut might make it into the actual episode, some scenes might not make it or might be shown from a different camera angle or whatever (I don't work in the filming buissness so I wouldn't know, just guessing).
There are a few things that they aren't going to change though. Like McAllister being Red John for example. That's happening, unfortunate for anyone who didn't want that, but that's just how it is. For me, the fact that McAllister is RJ isn't what dissapointed me. Nor was it the acting in the episode. It didn't seem very different at all to me. Alot of people might have percieved the acting as bad since the quality of the colours, picture, the sound and the music was very bad. But that's just because this isn't the finished episode, but a rough cut for the press to watch.
Anyway, what was off-putting to me is that this episode and the plot behind it seemed a bit rushed. I might remember it wrong, but didn't Jane enter the church alone from the back (where eventually McAllister enters) without Bertram being there? Wasn't there a guy in a red turtleneck as well as a woman praying in the back? Maybe that woman was the batshit-crazy knife-lady... But the guy in the turtleneck? WHERE THE FUCK DID HE GO? I had high hopes that it was Mashburn, who was my favorite non-list suspect and who I'd hoped would end up as RJ. I really hope the whole church scene with Bertram doesn't happen. This seems likely since his body is gone in the promo.
As for the chase scene, the whole 911-call and the eventual killing scene, it wasn't THAT bad. Except for the fact that McAllister was able to run for like 2km with a fucking bullet in his gut. The 911-call I actually liked, the scene where Jane strangles him aswell. The call shows that RJ is desperate, and scared. Just like anyone else. What the fuck would you do if someone came at you wanting to kill you? If he would've just let Patrick kill him, that would mean surrendering and thus losing the 10-year long mindgame between him and Jane.And surrendering is definetly not something RJ would do.The 911-call was just a try to escape, which he knew wouldn't work. But he was shot and scared, probably losing A LOT of blood. It was simply a desperate situation which called for a desperate(and maybe a bit stupid) solution that didn''t work.
The strangle scene I liked, and I didn't think Xander Berkeley's acting was bad. On the contrary, he showed real fear in his eyes. Which is perfect IMO. Simon Baker was great as well. He showed that ice cold side to Jane which we saw in the s3 finale. Which I think we all see as the best episode.
A lot of questions were answered, and a lot of questions weren't answered. But it's not even half the season. I'm sure we'll get our answers soon enough.

A pretty good reason why the episode was fake:
The Red John saga should have been over by now, the Red John episode was supposed to be launched 17 nov. Then it got postponed. We don't know why. I think the whole fake episode idea is something the producers came up with last minute. Something to make the episode different. To be remembered.
I hope that I am right, otherwise the finale is just a huge disappointment.
