LATEST THEORIES

This leaked episode is going to go one of two ways, I pretty much hope it is the second way.

1) It was the real episode, BUT it was not the final edited version. It could have been the version with many mistakes and the version before stuff was redone. Note, the Bertram lying on the ground in the leaked version, but not in the promo.

2) It was a fake. Imagine this: Spending a little bit extra to throw a complete hackjob together and release it early. Imagine this: Everyone whining about the episode saying it is worse than cancer, then on Sunday the real episode comes out, and it is genius and a beauty. That kind of media attention would be well worth the extra money they spent on this low grade episode.

Certain things pointed that is was fake. Some parts [while I think people exaggerate this too far] were a bit silly, a bit lazy and other parts were plain out rushed. There was also multiple illogical storylines within the episode.

It could also be taken along with the promo: Most promos in the Mentalist have ever revealed anything truly significant, but this one basically revealed who Red John is. Could that be all part of the plan with the fake episode, to really screw people up and throw them off?

I personally just can't understand why there would be an encrypted link in the first place, and on some random upload site. It was clearly meant to be found, now the trick has been set.

We'll see on Sunday, let's hope we aren't disappointed! :)

Does anyone really care about Abbot? I don't want to see him on my screen at all. He is not a character I would warm too.

I feel cheated but looking at all the interviews they did say here that there is only one more twist. God they made it so dumb and simple. It's almost like they stopped caring.
Guys there is no other episode. You need to except it.

Anyway here we go with the interview. MY COMMENTS ARE IN BOLD

According to Red John writer Jon Harper, you shouldn't count your dragons before they hatch: "You'll have to watch and see, but with The Mentalist, there's always another twist ( apparently just the one)." We still haven't seen all the bodies from the explosion - could there be another Red John suspect remaining?( Nooo didn't see that coming) However, we can confirm that the Patrick Jane/Red John confrontation will finally take place in this episode. And as calm as Jane seems to be about the whole situation  (why wouldn't he be, he has a secret weapon in his pocket AKA the pigeon), the final confrontation is going to be action-packed( eeeeh?) According to SpoilerTV "when Jane finally gets to face Red John, there is a lot more action than I expected involved. And it's a good thing ( ehhhhhh?)." According to the spoilers website, the Red John saga's conclusion will give Patrick Jane a "second chance at life."

This was the one and only episode out there. We are giving them way too much credit.

I am praying that leak wasn't the episode we will see Sunday
-All these years and Red John is a coward
-It doesn't even make sense that the person could be Red John
-Nothing was explained
-The final showdown was weak
-Bruno Heller made Red John look so bad and you would not think it was the same killer Jane has been tracking all these years
-I don't understand why CBS revealed Red John on the promo
-Red John defeated by pigeons

I really hope this was all a fake and we will see the perfect episode on Sunday where we will have a proper reveal and explanations.
If this is the real episode I will be very upset because I have been watching the show since the beginning and I have been waiting for the final Red John episode for a long time, thinking about the showdown with Red John and to get this ending is a DISASTER.

Gotta say, I was happily surprised with Libson in the episode. Didn't expect her to help Jane so much because she's all about the law.   I liked that she he

I'm jus wondering how Jane's going to get out of this and not go to jail.

I just watched the leaked Ep for the 2nd time, did anyone notice that McAllister's voice changes when he says "the game its over i won" ?? and become normal again when he continues ?

i mean it's too obvious and if it's a real Ep i'm gonna fly to Hollywood to kill Heller and draw a pigeon on the wall !!! i mean he's totally making fun of us.

Green = You want to kill Heller and draw a pigeon on the wall lol
Red = The episode is fake

Ok, I saw this morning the leaked episode. I thought that it was not as great as some people in the press were saying it was, but it was not terrible. I personally expected more because i loved the Red John plot as many of you and want the best end possible to it. Some theories here are saying that the episode is a fake one and we will get a better one next Sunday. It would be sweet but i don't think so. We will have a better version that is more polished but the story is going to be the same probably. If you see the photos, promos and everything about the episode it matches the episode that we saw. So, even though a part of me wants it to be fake, i still didn't find it that bad. I wanted to know more about Red John past and how he was one step ahead of Jane but, Jane killing him not giving RJ the pleasure of explaining, was in a way true to the character.
But, that said, i am mad that they gave way RJ in the promo and the number of plot holes in the episode.
