Did you remember vint molinari?

In my opinion; Vincent Molinari is red john. There isn't any theory about him. No body else remembers. Because;

- Vincent Molinari (Vint Molinari) is a CBI agent.
- We can remember "Seson 3 Episode 3" and episode's name is "The Blood on His Hands

"
- And this is important ; patrick shake hand only once time with him
- At the begining of the episode vint molinari called patrick. A tape recording about voice of Kristina frye
- at the crime scene vint molinari shake hand with patrick. And he is watching to patrick.
- at the same episode, the case about murdered a visulaze member.
- an important thing; In CBI office, patrick, lisbon and vint molinari talking about kristina frye and vint molinari says that " probably red john not killed the kristina. because red john killed all victims. Kristina colud drawed the face on the wall " and lisbon asked him " why would she do that" and molinari says " The woman thinks talking the dead" . Patrick says " ı agree with vint molinari. case must be remain capable hands of his"

Ellis Mars. I'm going to postulate this just to get some feedback.

The theory would be: Red John (Ellis Mars) has decided that it is time for him to meet Jane in person. It lets him get close to Jane and observe him in a way that he couldn't from spies or long distance. It lets him see if he can hypnotize Jane and really get to see how Jane interacts with people. So RJ calls up Todd Johnson and tells him about meeting Jane. He says it's time for him to meet Jane (the bigger picture Johnson referred to). He then engineers a ridiculously odd killing. A triangle pattern of 2 police officers and keely farlowe in which every victim was killed in a different way. This was done to attract Jane's attention just in case he had to option to pass it up and give it to the locals (and it had that very effect). RJ probably wanted Johnson involved somehow, to be close just in case, so he makes sure he kills his own fiance. Or maybe because he wanted to see how Jane would empathize, doesn't really matter.

RJ then follows Jane's lead when Jane tries to set him up and does what he tells him to. And he has night vision goggles just in case (really, what kind of 50 year old man of his demeanor in the country has night vision goggles?). Anyway, so then he runs because he can't get arrested, obviously that wasn't Jane's plan. So he goes and runs to the road and fails to get in his car, what? He then leaves his car at the crime scene (really? Mars had sound reasoning behind the things he said/did, so what was this nonsense? Scared I assume would be the reply).

Now we skip to the motel scene. Johnson and Jane bust in and turn on the lights, seemingly to wake the sleeping Mars. We then see Mars in full daytime attire complete with tennis SHOES. Mars is not under the sheets, he's simply laying there in the dark in full attire, almost like he had no intention of going to sleep, like he was just waiting to get up. So then why the lights off? Obviously to appear as if he was sleeping.
Then, RJ fears that Johnson may talk to Jane, so he tells O'Laughlin to go see Grace at the CBI.

We have a ton of very interesting coincidences. I'll list them.

1 - Mars knew that Johnson would kill again.

2 - Mars was just now trying to become a psychic, in his 50s... Shown by the progression of his business card.

3 - Mars had night vision goggles.

4 - He was "sleeping" in full daytime attire. A suit. On top of the sheets.

5 - Jane couldn't tell why Johnson did what he did, strongly implying that RJ was directing his actions. Heck, Johnson even says there's a bigger picture.

6 - The bodies are organized in a strange way. Jane says a complicated psychopath did this, then says Johnson is a garden variety psychopath.

7 - O'Laughlin just so happens to be at CBI in the middle of the night (Lisbon was sleeping at the beginning of the operation) in striking range of Johnson. And it seems Johnson went straight from the motel to the CBI. RJ knew very quickly that Johnson was caught and that he was going to the CBI, and it's clear that Johnson couldn't tell RJ himself, as he was captured.

This is now something that is going to bother me quite a bit. What was Red John's bigger picture with Todd Johnson? If your theory can't answer it (my Mashburn theory, currently, cannot) then your theory isn't covering all the evidence.

What do you all think?

Okay i know your thinking Wayne Rigsby isn't Red John your wrong but look at this Season 5 picture look at the reflections Rigsby's isn't there and Jane's is too would got me thinking knowing Burno Heller this means something maybe that they are a reflection of each other like Martins says Red John and him are very much alike like the poem tiger tyger tyger

I have read with amusement many of the theories, and kudos to all who take part, since we share in a common passion and pursuit. But no doubt a year from now, when Red John is known by all, someone will troll back through the postings to see who had it right all along, and that will be .....ME ....hopefully. I've purposely waited before posting, wanting to research all the possibilities before weighing in. Here's the process I went through.
FIRST - we know that Red John has had many associates, and some if not all of them appear to have an almost fanatical devotion to him. How? How could seemingly reasonable people in every other aspect of their life give up their own logic for the murderous logic of Red John? The answer is -mind control. We've seen Jane do it himself (Jane is not red john) and we've seen Rigsby under hynosis, as well as the Russett potato guy and several others, including Christina Frye (Christina is not red john). Christina Frye is a therapist, well versed in the ways of mind control, and yet -she has been mentally overcome by her experience with Red John. SO, RED JOHN is a master hynoptist, just like Jane is.
TWO - If you go back through the episodes and look at all the therapists, hypnotists, and mind-control people, eliminate the women (red john is not a woman), you are left with only 4 people.
THREE - The telling episode which gives away the answer is "Red Moon" the first episode that Simon Baker directed by the way. At the end of the episode, Todd, the killer, has a message for Jane. But before Jane can get there, Todd is set ablaze, and then as dying, quotes the Tyger, tyger poem that Red John uses.

So why would Todd refuse to kill the patsy that Jane accused (falsley on purpose) of being the murderer? He had already killed 3 people to cover up his tracks, so why stop now? The answer? The patsy was RED JOHN! That's why Todd wouldn't kill him, even at the risk of implicating himself. And who was the patsy? Uh, just a guy named ELLIS MARS (remember the episode with ..."...HE IS MAR..." ? And who is Ellis Mars? He's a fake mentalist (supposedly), someone who predicted another death would occur after the original three. How could he know this unless he was either the murderer or controlling the murderer? In addition, he speaks in "polite speak" just like red john did in the warehouse "Christina would want me to send her love. She's very fond of you, despite your differences." This type of formal English isn't used by Brett Partridge, it's used by ELLIS MARS. Plus, Ellis Mars gives Jane a business card with a tiger on it, which we see in the next scene as Jane holding it up to the ceiling while lying on his bed and reciting the words "tiger, tiger". Ellis Mars fits the speech, the age, the physical appearance, and the set of skills necessary to pull it all off avoid suspicion. The reason that no one considers him is that he comes across as bumbling, a fake, a wannabe, and he's easy for us (and Jane) to dismiss. But this is exactly what RED JOHN WOULD do -he wouldn't come in wearing a black cape and long moustache, he'd interject himself quietly and unobtrusively into the scene (think of The Usual Suspects - Kaiser Sosay). Ellis/Red John is playing a game, using his mentalism as a trick to gain entry, just as Jane does. Remember when Lorelei told him that he and Red John are similar? And the name Ellis (not my discovery) can be loosely translated in spanish as "Ellis = "El es"= "He is" MARS. It's just that we can't see it because it's right in front of us.

So that's theory, and I can't wait for our Alien overlords to review this entry in 50 years to realize I was right, and hopefully spare me from constructing their temple to the Gods...

Best of luck to all in your search....

Red John is Wayne Rigsby.  Ignore the Accuse button, it would not let me scroll down.

in Red Laquer we learned two things. One...almost for certain CBI Ron is not anything but a good cop. I mean he arrested Elise on PJ's orders. Even being slightly the ego maniac that RJ is this wouldn't happen this way. This leads me to another assumption Brett Partridge is in this episode too. Although he is creepy, most people that deal with the dead are off a little. Also he is not RJ either because there is nothing there. Since the red barn episode patrick has narrowed his list down well to the point where most of his suspects he would want to get more info out of them he doesn't talk to Ron and doesn't even want to talk to partridge. That seems to me as solid proof they are not on his list.
So next week we get Lorelie back...big turn of events on the horizon

One theory I have not read about and seems more plausible is that we do not know for sure if we have actually met Red John on the Mentalist. Heller said that we MAY have seen Red John already. We ASSUME that it was RJ who killed those 2 kids trying to kill PJ. We have already seen that Heller puts several things in different episodes that makes you believe someone is RJ and its not especially on the one where Tim Carter says he is RJ. One thing that is extremely telling is when Bruner Heller stating that Red John was Like Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes. It all makes perfect sense. Moriarty used people like pawns never doing any of the dirty work. Its obvious that Brett Partridge is the guy that kills those two kids the voices are identical. It doesnt him make him RJ. RJ has people all over CBI and different forms of government. There is still one person we dont know about inside who gave away his plan to RJ when PJ supposedly fell apart. The guy in the limo has to be someone extremely powerful. He is high up on the food chain and it cant be Partridge that makes no sense. The guy in the limo could have been RJ but who kwows he said two words. The person that killed Bosco's secratary could easily have been one of his inside people maybe Partridge. I think Heller does all of this misdirection to really keep people off who it really is. I think the ONLY thing that is really definitive is the blind woman knows RJ and that is it. Heller can easily come in and show that other people did this other stuff. Remember RJ is very very smart. He is smarter than Jane and has more connections that anyone. Also we know definitively that RJ has a connection to Visualize and Stiles HAS to know how RJ is. How would he know where K Frye was? Why didn't PJ say hey how did you know where she was unless you are RJ so it rules Stiles out. He is not some pyscho killer. I think Stiles knows who RJ is but cant say anything or he will get killed. Assuming that RJ has been on the show which is not even a for sure thing Mashburn is the only prominent actor who is old enough, smart enough (he acts stupid but is not) and has the money and connections to do it. The actor that plays Mashburn has the actings skills to really change things up. People that say PJ is RJ really overthink things. There are at least about 20 things that make no sense when you say PJ is RJ. Plus the show would never fly in syndication. The entire time he is chasing himself give me a break. Also the episode where the guy rights out He IS Ma. I would bet it was supposed to say he is Many or if it is Marsden it would be Marsden. I think think there is better chance that RJ has never been on the show yet. Like I said I think when Bruner Heller stated that Red John was Like Moriarty it makes perfect sense especially if you know about Moriarty and how he works. There is so much misdirection just like the list that PJ makes. The first person is Partridge and it say macabre which refers to death. I think he is one of RJ pawns but not RJ. Another person on the list is Mashburn. Again there are still some things we dont know about like where is PJ father. I have no idea if that if that makes a difference and how did PJ mother die?? Just some thoughts.
