So whats up with rigsby? It looked like he was happy to give the fbi any and all info. Is this a clue ? Is rigsby the real red john ? He seemed smart in the last 3 episodes wich is totally out of character for him. And his relationship with cho has dwindled ever since he got wipped off of van pelt.

Ok...

RED: if you think the leaked episode is the real one.

Seriously people, I am also ultra disappointed. I used to be a very big fan of the series, having watched the episodes twice and being present on this site from the start. To be honest, I think that this series ended on such a bad note that it made it one of the worst series I've ever seen.

But let's not be so negative. I have some slightly positive points to make and some clearly positive ones:
For me the disappointment was lessened by the fact that as the episodes progressed, more and more questions were left unanswered and instead of logically wrapping things up, more inexplicable and illogical things kept happening. This made me understand that the writers were seriously messing up and couldnt keep up. It was apparent that there wasnt any master plan behind who red john is from the beginning, and that's why the clues simply didnt add up. So I was set up for disappointment and I took it fine.

Secondly it's just a TV series and of course there wasn't any guarantee it would be great. For me, not being able to keep a coherent and logical course of actions totally destroyed the feeling I had, but it's OK :) Life goes on.

Now on a more positive note, there are extremely good TV series out there, very well thought out and with crazy drama built in. Some of them come to mind:
Breaking Bad (absolutely top notch)
Game of Thrones (top notch)
and even 24 (very good - at least some seasons)

So, instead of swearing and blacklisting Heller (which is an OK thing to do) we can move on. There is still a 0.00001% chance that both the promo for the 6x08 and the leaked episode are totally fake, and a HUGE new episode comes out tomorrow that explains everything and connects all the dots like magic, providing an exciting and dramatic-surprising finale with a suspect that noone ever suspected and who, when presented with the revelations, will make us walk and drink wine in Heller's name, while having the biggest 'aha' moments of our lives.
But even if not, don't despair :)

Unfortunately the episode is legit. We thought heller to be 9/10 in terms of IQ however he is on the somwhere near a 0.2

The apparant clues, which we thought were too silly to be observed while writing out theories are actually major ones.

1. The pigeons. Pigeon phobia. Most of us thought it was a herring because it was funny with McAllister going all ooohhaaaaahhaa with the sight of a pigeon.

2. Skin being scraped off Patridge's left arm revealing he was the member of tiger tiger.
Lisbon "What does this mean"
Patrick "What do you think it means" Read "Duh! Partridge was a part of tyger tyger and he has access to change DNA of RJ with an old dead body, which he did before he died, when McAllister had the foresight that Patrick would call a meeting with all the 7"

But here is what they missed.

In a recent interview Baker said that Red John no longer wants to kill Patrick, he actually loves patrick, he wants him to be his friend, so he puts himself in jeopardy and reveals himself"

There was no sign of this feeling in the episode. McAllister comes and wants to shoot Patrick and frame Bertram as Red John.

And also, why would Red John who does not want anyone to mock him, who things so highly of himself like a demi god, that no one else can take his position, why would this Red John want to frame someone else as Red John and let someone else even be called as Red John?

Every theory now has this word for sure. Dissapointed. Heller told us we would be dissapointed when Red John was revealed, but c'mon man, that would be because it was someone obvious, but now we are dissapointed because Red John was screaming like a hyena giving birth!

Red John was a step ahead of patrick, even better than him and the whole series was a huge build up with little pieces on how Patrick will outsmart Red John for six seasons.

Now if we had never seen McAllister and he had appeared only in season 6, still it would not have changed episode 8. Because they haven't used anything from the past 5 seasons.

And McAllister was a nobody in the show till the list was out, and Red John being Waldo? Like Heller was going to pull a magic trick out of his hat for the reveal? These are the expectations that Heller and his writers set during the course of the show. Why do you set expectations if you know you can't match even 2% of it.

Heller in his previous interview said all questions would be answered. He also mocked LOST saying nobody explained what the polar bears are doing, but the mentalist will answer all questions.

There are a whole list of questions that you guys have posted that have not been answered.

Honestly we still have that hope that this episode is a fake, like how we have a hope when our favourite team which is losing will score the winning goal, the winning base, the winning run in extra time!

I don't think they will answer any of the questions because the next episode has a two year leap.

They build up Red John with bold set ups like his contacts, his disciples, him being so smart to get the list, but they never thought how all this would come together.

They gave us clues for which they never thought of a reveal.

If it was a show which did not run on suspense it would not have mattered. They show's central plot for which we stuck for 6 years was the red john reveal, and they went wrong in the one place they shouldn't have had.

Let us say BOB KIRKLAND was one of the best, even Partridge hell even Betram. McAllister (Xender Berkeley) just could not pull of RED JOHN. He is a great actor but not RED JOHN.

Well atleast we have written enough theories for us to start our own MENTALIST.

And when you do, please don't involve pigeons.

Oh my fucking god. Can people stop being so damn negative about the episode? The episode is bad quality and i promise you that sound make much. So you guys miss all the flashback and loose ends? I tell you now that Im sure we will found out everything we want in the upcoming 5! episodes. It would have been different if this was the SERIES finale or SEASON finale, this is just a regular episode with the RJ expose involved, you had so ridiculous high expectaions on this episode that no matter how hard Heller would have tryid he wouldn't had make you guys happy.

I just want to thank heller for a fantastic saga of Red John, I will never forget this serie, my favorite series ever. And people, i know it maybe wasnt the best episode, think of all the great memories we got instead.

Lets instead of complain write about our favourite mentalist moment ever! :)

Thank you Heller, and thank everyone here for all the fantastic and good theories here, I really meen it, Thank you! <3
