no i dont think an episode let alone a few scenes cost millions.....money wudne be a consideration at all for that as its a 6 year old hit show. now, the opinion makers and influencers about the rj revel are all people who are now active on this forum. now heller's whole legacy is gonna be judged by these people as they are the ones who would troll the internet forum in days to come and either make him a hero or crucify him (irony with the church scene).....so he can sure spend some time and energy to appease us..:)..makes me feel good....
Ok. So major studios make 100 million dollar movies and every once in awhile they will make a 5 minute alternate ending that doesn't blow their budget and that 5 minutes is a small part of what they want to do and is in the back of a DVDYet a TV show that has fans but has no one figuring out who their main plot killer is besides a few people on a website leads writers to spend time making a COMPLETE fake episode to trick fans and spend a ton of CBS money? And they accidentally leak it to trick a small amount of fans even though there is no way to know who the killer is. AND the leak is getting no press but on a fan site.....can we just admit that the final show is what you saw and Partridge and no one else is coming back...
I haven't been back here since last Sunday so I have to read some more entries. However, this has been a fun place to theorize and see how other viewers' minds work. One question: if you "don't give a shit who Red John is, why are you here." But the answer is clear: you do. The Mentalist is a really well written show that goes much deeper than other detective dramas. See "the forest for the trees". We have all become "mentalists" because of Patrick Jane and the brilliant writers.
With that said, and without reading more theories before I say this I say "he is Mas..."- Walter Mashburn. He is the only other interesting, charming and multi-layered character like PJ. And he is the only man who we know had a fling with Lisbon. How ironic...

I dont know if the leaked video is directors cut or not (video is not fake), but i am surprised by some events in past few days
1) First, why on earth will someone hack to get raw or uncut episode (take huge risk), as he now has raw red john episode, he might have next few episode video as well.
2) Which brings me to the second point, why hasnt CBS worked on banning the leak. Its everywhere, Youtube, torrents etc etc
So my theory is, its a purposeful act to confuse and disappoint passionate fans like us, so that when we see the real episode.... It would be worth it...

I do not give two fucks if you think I'm "delusional" but I have a strong feeling this is all a spoof. The question is WHY wouldn't Bruno spends millions (wait how can one episode be millions) The Mentalist has always been a great show with amazing plot twists and shit.
Some really delusional people here. I feel sorry for you. You actually think this was all an elaborate hoax for a show that is now failing in tv ratings. That they would spend millions on a fake episode, that only a handful of hardcore fans would see. There isn't even a buzz about the leak outside of boards like this. I know you are let down and hurt by the poor episode, but you are setting yourselves up for an even greater fall come Sunday.
