Here is what disappoints me...I really don't care who was Red John, etc. I cared about Jane and the team. I remember watching the show for the first time. My wife and I didn't care about Red John. In fact it got kind of old. What we loved from Day 1 was Jane harassing some rich people or getting in someones head and dismissing them. It was comedy. It was drama. It was Jane just cleverly sticking it to people. So when people say "Well what do they do now?" My first answer was "go back to the formula that got the best ratings." The issue I have now is they took away the fun and now seem to be heading into this dark side of Jane and what will happen to the team. The best part of the show was Cho being serious/funny with one lines. Rigsby being a dufus. Jane playing people with a smirk. I'm afraid they'll just dismiss it.

Your watching the one from last week

This whole season has been one big waste of a filler.  With the exception of the first few shows which were regular, non-RJ shows, the rest has been one big empty nothing.  All of those episodes could have been combined into a single one, with time to spare if the writing was decent.

In the finale, nothing is answered except for the bomb in PJ's house.  That again begs more questions than answers: a concussion bomb, followed by a real one.  Is the sheriff wearing blue magical socks that protect him from being knocked out?  That he has time to pull Bertram and PJ out of the harm's way?

Idiots, all around.  He saves PJ only to try to kill him by scheduling a meeting?  Double idiots, double round.

Just watched a VCR taped version of tonight's brand new episode of the CBS series, The Mentalist. I loved it. But was very confused about the reveal of Red John character. People on this site say there is a copy of the episode circulating the United States that shows Sharif McAlistar as Red John character. But the episode I have watched wS very dramatic and concludes with Gale Bertran as the Red John. So, episode circulating United States fake? My episode is television, not internets. And Gale Bettran is Red John character. Patrick James announced it to press.

How could we seriously miss this?

Bruno "Hell"er - thank you for the reveal of RJ, it was breath taking, best episode!  LOL what a joke seriously... all this hype and we get this, anyways, can someone link the final version of the episode in the comment section (I'm not sure whether im clicking on the rough cut version or the actual finalized version on sites that release the episode, since the rough cut version has been leaked all over the internet :S
