I used to think it was Grace because she has red hair. But now I don't think so any more. I realize that theory is as stupid as her character is stupid. She is so stupid. She is the worst kind on person because she thinks she is not stupid, but she is exceptionally stupid. She is just another pawn in Red John's arsenal.

I confirmed this theory by watching and re-watching all the available episodes on reruns, thanks to TNT. And I would really like comcast to put the episodes on-demand so I can watch the recent ones again. Grace's character is so stupid. The only other one who is almost as stupid as Grace is stupid is Wayne. Wayne and the whole baby storyline is stupid. And what about the mother of his child? Another example of a stupid woman.  She's educated but that does not equal intelligence. She is stupid.

Kristina Frye = stupid. Madeleine Hightower = stupid. Teresa Lisbon = stupid. They put up with Jane and his antics. I realize this is TV. But why are these characters so stupid? They should be smart but they are stupid. They only go along with Jane because they are so stupid that they can't think their way out of a paper bag.

What I would like to see and would wholeheartedly support  is a crossover episode. Mr. Finch's machine could spit out a number and then John would come to town and take out Red John in some clever way. Then we could be free of the stupid Red John. Then Patrick Jane would decide to stay with the CBI and just go back to his clever way of solving mysteries.

I'm reminded of the line from the movie, "Stand by Me," where one of the friends says while around a campfire, "Do you guys notice how they never seem to get anywhere on 'Wagon Train?' They just keep wagon training."
That's what this Red John thing is like. It seems to be dragging on and on and on. Maybe Red John and 'The Mentalist' will be revealed to be only in Patrick Jane's head à la Pam Ewing in 'Dallas' (The whole eighth season on Dallas, and apparently all five seasons of 'The Mentalist'). Maybe Patrick Jane is and has been in a mental institution since the death of his family. This has been a dream. I hope not.

I think they are making Kirkland and Bertram look guilty but then it'll turn out that they are the good ones and they know RJ is in the CBI.  Maybe even Haffner is helping them.  I feel like there is somone that everyone is overlooking but I just don't know who.

right from the very first episode, brett partridge was implemented as a crime scene analyst.  you very rarely see him, 3 episodes in total so far i believe   But, isnt it curious....why did the mentalist start where it did?  why didnt they start at RJ killing PJ wife and kids? or when PJ joined CBI?....the program started at that cbi case for a reason....for revelation.

remember.... your a ghoul.  he is urksome, sorry...he urkes me

Van Pelt is going to be Brett Partridges wife.  brett partridge works for the fbi...and van pelt is away to the fbi for 'special training'....right when homeland starts investigating for an obvious leak/mole.

I truly believe that Red John is Robert Strickland because he has the voice, the handshake, power, an interest in the Red John cases, and appears in most episodes involving Lorelei...But i think that it is becoming too obvious. So this got me thinking are they finally revealing who Red John is and allowing us to see how it unfolds and how Patrick Jane finds out? Or could this be an elaborate distraction? I tried to think of a counter theory of why Strickland looks so guilty and i think that if he is RJ then he is involved because...he has also been a victim of RJ, maybe he killed his brother, mother, wife, child or something. This also gives him an urge for revenge so he wants to keep up on RJ case because he wants to kill him like Jane. Also when he shook Janes hand and said he knew him this is because he knew about all the other RJ victims, also he seems excited to meet Jane because he knows that he is very smart and likes that he wants to get revenge too. That is why he forces his team into everything involving RJ. This is just a counter theory of why it may not be him...idk!

Red John is a CBI agent/officer. Homeland security knows it, that's why they are investigating.

Also, in the last episode (s05e16 "There will be blood"), Bertram and Kirkland assume they "can't trust anyone"... and they are in the CBI office.

Patrick Jane grew up in a traveling canrival with his dad. Lorelei was found dead amongst some carnival items. She was looking for Red John and may have found him. Red John is either Janes dad or someone else from the carnival but don't know anyone else from there yet.
