i think it was a fitting end, i am glad they chose someone who appeared from the 1st season to be red john. tho i think the real intention was for it to be timothy carter from the end of the third series but as someone said it was all down to money and the network wanting to keep ratings up,

all in all i am happy with  the conclusion and to all the people who still dont think its actually over it is the rest of the series continues 2 years in the future and has moved on from the red john events, and to be honest who really wants the red john story to continue it has been 6 seasons now it needed to be wrapped up and not dragged on any longer

i just hope this doesnt cause the series to be cancelled any time soon

all in all i have enjoyed the ride and am overall happy with the conclusion tho for me i wanted red john to be bob kirkland i enjoyed how his character was played

After having watched the leak 3 times and then watching the aired episode, it wasn't as funny the 4th time around but it also wasn't good.  Since it was the same as the leak it was just bad, VERY bad.  Had hopes that the leak was a ruse and that the ending would be more interesting without the silliness and lack of believability (but then it is TV).  Nope...same old sh*t, different day.  

Nothing more to say except the episode was full of pigeon poop.

I'm still not convinced.

There are subtle things that make me doubt it's McAllister.

For one, he seemed afraid of death, i reckon RJ would welcome it, urging Patrick to kill him. He didn't seem sure of himself enough.

The information he held (what little he actually revealed) could have very easily been told to him by RJ himself. There is no way it'd be that easy to just kill him. I'm not sure why but something seems off...

Spoilers and attempt analysis below:
Jane said to Thomas Mcallaster that Partridge switched the DNA records of Mcallaster after the scene of the explosion.
Does this mean Partridge is alive?

Also, I don't know if you's have seen this but, in the very, very last screenshot/scene there is a man will black hack hair in a black suit.This made me very suspicious and it might be the real RedJohn. The guy fits the description of Rosalind and looks a lot like Michael Kirkland or Bob Kirkland.

Yeah, mcallister.. WHY would RJ simply deny that he's RJ himself?
I really wonder how the episodes will continue. The secrets may be revieled but the climax is over.

I hope everything would make sense in time, otherwise i feel sorry for the 6 years of my life.

To me, Red John is always going to be Timothy Carter.
