First of all, I'm really open-minded, I mean, I'm not a hater, I always liked Partridge as Red John but I didn't look blindly to it, I've always checked the other theories and honestly, a lot were plausible.
Now about this last episode... seriously? That was the great Red John appearance?
I'm not complaining about the fact that McAlister was Red John but how he faced Jane..."please don't kill me" like, really?
On my mind Red John would act just like the emperor on the Gladiator's final scene (2000 film). He would say something about Jane's wife and daughter that would make us hate him hard and laugh on his face in a psychotic way and then he goes "you can kill me Patrick, nothing will change, you won't have your wife and child back" (which is true) and then he says "the game is over and I won".
Speaking of which, wtf was that? They just dubbed his voice on this phrase..WHY? So the promo would tease us, seriously this revelation makes no sense to me at all, specially the fact that the great mastermind Red John was so pathetic when facing his nemesis and begging for his life.
What about the pidgeon? How the heck Cordero didn't notice that when cheking for any guns? And why did Patrick had a pidgeon with him if he though Bertram was Red John?
And I'm not sure how a sheriff can be a serial killer like Red John, who controls a freaking secret empire and do his daily sheriff things. I think even Stiles would be a better Red John...

Seriously I am disapointed, not by the fact he was Thomas but because he was so pathetic begging for his life and because he regrets killing Jane's wife and daughter AND he is afraid of death, how come a guy that lives in danger and been hunted the whole life afraid of death? Come on...he seems to be not smart at all and yet he tricket Jane for ten years.
Honestly I think we could have scripted a better episode even Ron had some interesting theories here.
Peace out guys and leave a comment if you will.

I know most of the members are pissed about the recent episode. But, I think Mcallister as Red John was a good idea that was not played out well (and I'm not saying this because one of my predictions was true). Like i said previously :

1) He was a creep towards van pelt in s01e02.

2) He was behaving acrophobic in the first half of s06e03, but he saved Jane because he knew the list; he might have guessed that Jane somehow knew about his sessions with Dr. Miller, so he decided to swallow his fear to stay in the low. However, the bird thing was unexpected, and he did freak out.

3) You knew that Red John was afraid of birds, so enough with the BS about "why was a serial killer afraid of a little pigeon??"

So, all in all, I believe that it was a good idea to show Mcallister as Red John. The way the scene was portrayed was, however, kinda shitty....

You guys should be glad you only watched the episode where McAllister is Red John and nothing is explained. The actual explanations were BS.

Spoilers on BRETT PARTRIDGE: REDJOHN Episode! 4 YEARS- PATRICK KNEW WHO HE WAS AND DIDN'T KILL HIM!

In the Brett Partridge as Red John episode, Patrick learns Ryan Parks, someone from his past had DNA left on Carter Peaks. This is the information that Bosco gives Patrick on his dying bed. Patrick knew Ryan Parks from his past... he is familiar... it's Brett Partridge. Then Patrick begins a 4 year plan after Rebecca Anderson is murdered, to expose Red John's web of powerful friends. Patrick decides to expose them before he murdered Partridge?

THIS IS BULLSHIT! THIS IS WHY IT DIDN'T AIR!

Partridge realises Patrick MAY know who he is, so he disappears. There's actually a flashback to Patrick seeing Partridge walking past him with a dog in the season 3 finale, before Partridge sets up Timothy Carter to die. There's a momentary stare between them and I'm still wondering why Patrick doesn't finish him right there...

The list is made after 4 years of intentional games with Red John. People, who Patrick connected to Red John, were placed in. He DOESN'T use Rosalynd Harker because he doesn't want to tip off Red John that he already knew him. Even when he makes the list he says its a list of people he met AFTER his wife was killed.

- Bret Stiles had to make it onto the list- he knew Ryan Parks aka RJ

- Ray Haffner - Patrick recognises he is the man that shoots the copycats

- Gale Bertram - Calls Patrick "Boy Wonder," so he must have been told about Patrick, by Ryan Parks who knew Patrick when he was younger. And he was involved in the Timothy Carter plan of Red John.

- Sheriff Thomas McAllister - Asks if Patrick is a psychic repetitively on meeting.

- Reede Smith - Friend in the FBI.

- Robert Kirkland - Patrick thought he murdered Jason Lennon, until he finds out he has a twin

By the end of episode 7:

Kirkland is dead. Smith is bad, Bertram is RJ, and McAllister is dead.

By the end of episode 8:

Robert is alive and LURKING in flashback of Patrick's Con, (Michael was dead)... Smith is a hero... Bertram is a HERRROOOO .... McAllister is a hero... Haffner is killed by Lorelei Martins... Bret Stiles gets tortured by Robert Kirkland... Patrick gets his revenge on Ryan Parks aka Brett Partridge aka Serial Killer Red John.

As I said before: a finicking sip of the tea ended in a large gulp spilling half of the cup.

All subtlety faded away, starting what that stupid bomb, whereas the mindblowing should have been figuratively (with pithy dialogues) not literally.

But 6X8 was a fine parody, I'll give Heller that.

Alright guys. What did you think of this episode?

Green: you liked it and you're satisfied.

Red: you didn't like it and you're disappointed.

I want Bruno Heller's blood right now as far as I'm concerned. That prick stole 40 minutes of my life every week for 5 years. Worst series ending. Ever. Ain't gonna watch The Mentalist ever again.

PS: I am still mourning Bob Kirkland. He was the best character in the series so far, and the most under-exploited.
