it's definitely not Kirkland. he did shake PJ's hand but Lorelei had no knowledge of this because she was in prison at the time so it must be somebody from the past. Lorelei hadn't been in touch with RJ since she got into prison.

it's not haffner because he is too stupid to pull it off.

it's not brett stiles because despite differences PJ likes him and vice versa.

the most likely theories are actually most unlikely..that would be too easy

the idea of PJ's father seems plausible, however why would RJ go to such a great lenghts to make carnival surrounding at the place of killing Lorelei?

at the moment I still have no idea who RJ could be. I was thinking about JJ la roche as he has the ability to hold power over people (hence manipulating by Lorelei's words) but his physique is not that of RJ.

perhaps we get more clues at season 5 finale..

Just something that caught my attention in season5 episode16 is wer lorelei is found red, carnival perhaps? look at the props in the background, she was on her way to kill red john wasn't she? why would she end up in what seems to be a carnival? we all know janes background.

Facts:

- "He is Mar" on the wall. A lower case r is an unfinished n.

- Judge Manchester meets Jane in Season 5 Episode 1. Lorelei reveals that Jane has met him in Season 5 Episode 8.

- The judge was the one who gave Jane custody of Lorelei as a prisoner.

- Seems like he's always in the right place in the right time. Like at the Poker game when he talked to Lisbon. He is too minor of a character to keep bringing back without some value.

- Generally seems like an arrogant, manipulative, smart, deceptive guy. He is the type that knows how to get inside people's heads, like how he got inside Minelli's head with the poker games. Maybe he lost on purpose because he knew Minelli would then send Van Pelt to training for some reason.

- The Manchester United football team are nicknamed Red Devils. The writer of the show, Bruno Heller, was born and raised in the United Kingdom.

I know these are all really broad, but anyone else suggested so far would be way too obvious. What do you guys think?

Who (like Jason Lennon) likes fishing, was in the cbi for a short while watching Jane before the deaths of bosco and his team, and has underground ways of getting information from people, Virgil Minelli of course, if he isn't red John then Jason Lennon was just a throwaway accomplice, why reveal he was a keen angler?
