LATEST THEORIES

Well, I'm going to keep watching The Mentalist in hope that they tie up the billion loose ends that there is; but i doubt it.

The actors themselves, I feel, were and are brilliant. Simon Baker can do no wrong in my eyes; he's been the perfect Jane the entire way.
I'd also like to say that I have no problem with the way the last episode was acted, or that T McAllister was RJ. However you can't do the reveal in a 40 minute episode. You can't just leave so many clues like that unanswered. The list - that's just appalling because lets face it, Heller has no idea how RJ knew and he made it up. All the red herrings he has put in the previous series' have no relevance and do not fit in with the end story line.

This is why it doesn't work, because Heller doesn't know the answers himself. It now feels as if he made it up as he went along. I've loved this show for 5 years, and always will, but I will always be disappointed with the ending. You can't build up one of the most loyal fan followings in TV and leave it like that.

Lets hope he answers the lose ends in the rest of the series or in interviews at least.

I think majority of us are focused on the disappointing episode of Red John and not realizing why Heller decided to write it that way.

I believe the reason as to why Heller wrote/directed this episode was due to an internal problem in the production/management.

1) This show is his gem!

2) He always took it to the next level when he wrote episodes for the series.

3) Considered to be the most anticipated episode, watched by millions, and has a large fanbase.

So why would he a) leak the episode b) barely make an attempt to remove the leaked footage c) produce such poor quality of an episode d) doesn't even bother giving a proper explanation?

The way the episode was directed seemed as a mock; like it was meant to mock someone. We, the viewers, instantly thought it was a fake cause of how ridiculous it was.

But I believe the real reason behind it is that Heller was trying to prove a point, more precisely to management members or production crew.

There could have been an internal problem, and Heller took it personal, and as revenge produced such low quality of an episode. Just to prove or further anger the person/s that started it.

Of course the whole fanbase will turn against him, and viewers rate will go downhill; there is a risk that the continued episodes might not be to that level/standered and CBS could just end the series.

If it did turn out that it was an internal problem, Heller shouldn't have taken it out on the most anticipated episode that millions were waiting years for.

Heller, you arrogant, blind prick, read this:

First of all, Red John's lack of cleverness and dialogues in last episode were bull FUCKING shit.
Without further ado, these are the first things came to my mind after watching your bullshit.

1. Both RJ and PJ are MASTERS of hypnosis. There's something called self-hypnosis, good hypnoticians can make your phobias go away easily, they can make you quit smoking and many miraculous things too, so how the FUCK ON EARTH RJ IS STILL AFRAID of damn pigeons? This is retarded man.

2. I made many of my friends and my girlfriend go watch this series from the beginning, first thing I'll do is, I'll call them and apologize for this ending. I didn't see it coming.

3. I was very disappointed and do not blame it on my "high" expectations, you made it this high and this character just doesn't fit. I wish you could go out of the list and make it more interesting and clever with a charismatic character.

4. What was that old (2nd season I think) Red John clue "He is mar" about? "He is marshall"? Who the hell would write that with their blood on wall while they are dying? You would try to write his name if you're willing.

5. There are so many loose ends about RJ and Heller is saying he won't be explaining them nor Red John's background in next episodes. WHY? "Because it wouldnt be interesting anymore", he must be kidding me. He did not mention RJ's background here neither. So we'll watch to see how happily Jane runs along the shores from now on like nothing happened. I'm so excited. So very much.

6. Lastly, I wish Simon Baker could go ahead and say he didn't like this at all, instead of word-playing there. At least he made his point though.

Fuck you Bruno Heller, I will just keep watching The Mentalist until the end just out of respect for my last 5 years, then I will stay away from your next projects.

My sincere thanks to the brilliant actors and crew of The Mentalist, they did their best all those years.

Hi Everyone.

I hope you all had time to mourn. I am just here to say my goodbyes and give everyone some friendly advice.
1.Don't continue watching the show. Don't give Him the satisfaction. Don't reward him for his laziness please. It's a joke. I'm quitting now myself. If you find yourself not wanting to give up fair enough you can't help the actors are what drew you in. But having to look at Abbots face for the next season I know I couldn't do it. I wouldn't look at the show the same way again.

2 Stay away from this new show if you have any sense in your head at all. This is his new pet project. I won't be watching even though I am a fan of all things batman just not Heller. here is a snippet of what is to come from this show. Looks like there is a lot of research to it.

The involvement of Heller points to a police procedural, but Gotham could also choose to focus on — or incorporate — elements of political drama. After all, the Wayne family is tangled closely with Gotham history, and Gotham might be best served as a Caprica-style prequel, tracing the rise and fall of Gotham City’s dynasties, and the origin story of how the once-magnificent city decayed to the crime-ridden metropolis that inspired a superhero.

Heller will probably just pull it from his ASS because he is lazy. I don't see this doing well at all. He would need some great actors to pull this off. He was lucky with the mentalist that he had Baker. Anyway stay well clear.

3. Anyone who says that the episode was amazing, great blah blah is either really ridiculously young and in love with Baker or they need psychiatric help. no seriously, you either are not the full shilling or you have an IQ of 5. There is also the possibility that you are in deep denial because you don't want to let the show go...either way you need some help ..go sort that out.

4 I will visit back here every now and then people just to read not post so continue the site. It's fantastic! So is the www.red-john.info. It was hilarious!

I hope someone here has the talent and ambitious to produce and write themselves makes something better the the piece of crap we watch last night!
Partridge fans it should have been you!!! Hugs!
I wish you all luck people!
Stay cool!

In an interview Xander said that he was honored to be chosen to play Red John, but that someone else deserved it.
And in the same interview Bruno said that he had chosen Thomas a year ago, after looking at everything and choosing him in the end.
Myself i like the idea of Thomas as Red John.
Sure i hoped it would be Bob or Michael Kirkland but i still like it.
Xander is such a good actor and i just hope that he will be known by this role.

Xander thank you for the amazing series, Bruno thanks for all the years you wasted in to the series to make us intrigued and enjoy it. I'm still gonna follow it even though i said i would stop after seeing Red John, but i'm still gonna follow it!

first of all excuse my poor english
I have some questions
why some people are disappointed about this episode of The Mentalist?
some people say that why red john ask for mercy?
well this is obvious..it's because he is a psychopath..he is crazy.. he was smart yes but he isn't sane
you can't predict his actions.
why you imagine red john as a fearless person who doesn't fear of death?
..
having that said I think the red john case isn't close yet
I think (or I hope :) ) there will be another revealing of red john and McAllister isn't the real red john
look at s04 e13 at the scene that rosalind called patrick
look at red john's hand and look at mcallister hand in s06 e07
it's not solid evidence but i think is enough to count mcallister out of the list of our red john suspects
