LATEST THEORIES

I know that i write theories often and that im changing my mind from day to day. Its just because im still hoping that BH wont disappoint us at the end, after
all.

Now i have a big WHAT IF :) What if the interviews, silly episodes, lack of RJ explanations, and the names of the episodes are made ON PURPOSE to make us angry and pissed of at the moment. Just to keep us disappointed and "betrayed" by Heller so we could all be SO REMARKABLY SURPRISED with the real real end.

WHAT IF WE FANS ARE THE ONES GETTING PLAYED BY HELLER AND SIMON LIKE ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAD BEEN PLAYED BY PATRICK JANE? :) after all this is our Jane ..right? When Jane had "the nerve breakdown" and insulted Luther i fell for it, Luther fell for it, you guys im sure fell for it, Lisbon fell for it! Maybe they are prepared for us to lose faith in the show and then BOOM!

If you look at the interviews with Heller and Baker they are just " We dont give a fuck about RJ anymore" Any normal writer would give us the explanations...after all that is all we are waiting for for 5 seasons right? Would they just give up and leave it all so messy and confusing? What if at the end there will be an interview with Heller and Baker and they will say to the fans we screwed you in Janes style :)) That would be great :))

Someone mentioned here that Heller made great shows till now, so what if this show ends up great aswell :)

While I agree with many that the reveal episode (6:08) was something of an anti-climax, with probably the least interesting suspect turning out to be RJ, it really was time to wind up the RJ storyline.
And to all those who are disgracefully and offensively lambasting Bruno Heller and crew on this site, sit back and think for a minute. They were skilful enough to develop a complicated storyline that lasted more than five years. But I can think of several books, TV series and movies that built up a story quite brilliantly, so much intrigue and plot development, but then failed to deliver on the ending. It seems the Mentalist Red John story is no different. But give BH some credit. He may yet surprise all of us.
I doubt we have seen the last of Visualize (or even Brett Stiles - Malcolm McDowell is such a good actor!).
But I actually thought the Mexican episode ("two years later") was fascinating. Have a little faith people. The thought of Jane working with the FBI has a lot of potential. You all waited more than five years for RJ to be uncovered. You can wait a little bit more for a good show and great characters to be re-directed.

Every time I rewatch this episode I can't help but feel that they have taken the real RedJohn and replaced it with McAllister. It just doesn't add up. Take a look for yourself and tell me it doesn't seem fishy.

Besides in the next episode Jane is at peace but still seems like he has something on his mind. Maybe he knows he screwed up or maybe he knows that the pieces don't add up.

@j3sca I was thinking that too. Red John is the collective group of people. Red for the colour of blood which symbolises death and John as in John Doe which is the collective name of someone with no identity. I am glad great minds think alike.

Red John is no one. He is not one person but a cult, lots of people committing murders in the name of the cult

Who else hates FBI agent Dennis Abbot? (or whatever his name is)

As far as I'm concerned I think this character is completely irrelevant, came out of nowhere, he hasn't brought anything interesting to the series, he's just some random guy that you could think is there just to annoy people. He has no background, we don't know what he's fucking doing around here, to me he had nothing to do with RJ saga's ending. Also I would expect his shoulder to be checked when he showed up at the CBI to close it down.

When you have excellent characters with an interesting background and a developed story like JJ LaRoche, Kristina Frye, or even Agent Darcy (who screwed up the operation to catch RJ in season 4 finale), I think it is shitty writing to create characters like Abbot. He's useless. He has nothing to do there. He's a mistake.

Crappy Red John by the way.

I seriously think Brenda and van pelt are in a lesbian relationship together. I think van pelt is the niece of red john. Brenda manipulates the media, van pelt does the spying, and RJ does the killing. A pigeon? Come on seriously. I can't wait to see the episode that has red in its title again. The sheriff was nothing but a decoy. I think Brett styles is alive and is the real red john. The trio of Brenda/ van pelt and Brett will be taken down before the end of the season. You heard it here first.
