LATEST THEORIES

I've just finished watching "Sherlock" and I realized something:

Supposing that Sherlock Holmes and Patrick Jane have similar skills,
(They do have a lot of common skills, like extremely high observation, arrogance, narcisism, they consult the police solving crimes etc)

Then, Moriarty and Red John should also have similar skills.
Well they don't.The way Red John appeared in the 8th episode makes me state that.
When Sherlock meets Moriarty, he has a gun.But Moriarty has 3-4 men pointing him with snipers.
When Patrick meets Red John, he has a gun and a pigeon (well...) and Red John has Cordero (HOLY crap) and a lady with a knife?

OK, don't get me wrong, but Red John is gay. I was watching the series and I've been obsessed with Red John.I started to be on his side, just because I wanted the hunt to go on.From what we watched for 5 seasons, He was a human being far beyond others.Elegant, strong, determined, secretive, clever, manipulative, he was there and he wasn't there. He was extremely educated, sophisticated, arrogant, playful, he managed to take advantage of the pain of the others and turn them on his side eventually. He killed because he had mental issues and a childhood wound that made him hate women and use them only for sexual relationships. He is a common psycho? No.Because he is like Patrick. And Patrick has something that common people don't have.

And then we watch episode 8.Red John appears to be totally predictable, dumb as hell, sexomaniac, pervert, scared by a pidgeon and afraid of death. This man, this man has killed over 40 people, manipulated thousands of people, seduced the sexiest women, still he is afraid of death and he calls 911.Season 4 finale:
PJ: "Go to hell"
RJ: "As you well know Patrick, there is no hell. When I die I won't be punished."

So,why he is so much afraid of dying?I don't know the creators really messed up.

Red John is meant to be someone that fulfils all those things that they have shown to us the first 5 seasons. That's why people refuse to believe that RJ is dead. It's not the Sheriff, it's not the actor. It's the attidute.

And only one question comes to my mind.

WHY?

Great theories here, if only Heller could just decide to copy one of them.
Don't mean to disapoint you guys, I want is as bad as you want it, but Red John isn't coming back.(Fingers Crossed)

Osvaldo Ardiles is returning in the Golden Hammer.  Ardiles was one of the names in Jane’s
notebook in 5x09.  My theory is based on
the idea that the list of seven suspects was RJ’s list given to Jane to expose
the Tiger Tiger group.  Think about what
we expected from the final RJ/Jane showdown.
Jane would have some sort of elaborate plan and RJ would counter with
another elaborate plan.  That’s what we’ve
seen in past season finals:  two master
manipulators at odds.  In the Red John
episode, there was nothing suggesting that Jane had a brilliant plan and
McAllister’s plan of killing Jane and framing Bertram as RJ was rubbish.  What I’m suggesting is that both Jane and RJ
had brilliant plans and the audience just hasn’t caught on yet.

RJ’s Plan:

RJ saved Jane’s life in the S2 finale and gave Jane the clue ‘tiger,
tiger.’  This was RJ’s first attempt to
befriend Jane by trying to clue Jane into the existence of a corrupt club of
California law enforcement.  This
backfired on RJ because of the Todd Johnson murder case.   Jane believed Todd Johnson to be a RJ
associate when in fact Johnson was a tiger tiger member.  Instead of exposing tiger tiger, Jane
completely misses the target and starts planning a trap for RJ.  The Blake Association realizes Jane is
investigating the Todd Johnson murder and they frame Hightower.  Jane continues to think that RJ is behind all
of this.  Then you have the mall scene
where you have all the major players present.
RJ knew to send Timothy Carter because he’s had Bertram’s office bugged
for ages to keep an eye on the Blake Association.  Bertram’s move is to frame RJ’s man O’Laughlin
with his ‘you’re at the end of your rope’ comment.  At this point, the Blake Association has
effectively framed RJ for everything that happened in S3 and completely messed
up RJ’s plans to befriend Jane.  This is
RJ’s reason for hating the Blake Association.  At this point RJ decides to stop playing with
Jane because Jane failed to live up to his expectations.  He sends O’Laughlin to kill Hightower and
anyone else at the cabin and he uses Carter to fake his death and hopefully get
Jane stuck in prison for murder.  It isn’t
until Jane sees through the faked death and reaches out to RJ in Blinking Red
Light that RJ decides to try again.  That
results in the S4 finale where RJ really shows his desire to convert Jane.  All of this sets the stage for RJ’s master plan
in the sixth season.

When RJ learns that Jane knows he’s shaken RJ’s hand from
Lorelei, there are two options for RJ.
He can kill Jane to neutralize the threat or he can finally succeed in
befriending Jane.  RJ sends Jane a list
of people that he suspects of being members of the tiger tiger club.  RJ got four out of seven correct which is
pretty good considering that it is a secret club (McAllister, Reed Smith,
Bertram, Partridge).  The S5 finale was
called Red John’s Rules and yet nobody really considered exactly what those
rules were.  Jane was to investigate the
list as if he was really looking for RJ until Jane catches RJ or RJ catches
Jane.  RJ’s plan to catch Jane was for
Jane to finally realize the involvement of tiger tiger in the S3 finale which
in RJ’s mind would result in Jane finally accepting RJ’s friendship.  That is why statements have been made saying
that part of RJ’s plan includes bad intentions to everyone on the list.  RJ is having his revenge on the Blake Association.

Now, in all the past season finales, Jane has made the first
move and RJ has responded and usually won.
What Lorelei’s slip about them shaking hands changed is that RJ no
longer had the advantage of simply responding to Jane’s plans.  For the first time, RJ was forced into making
the first move and Jane will get to respond and there is no way that Jane is
going to play by RJ’s rules.

Jane’s Plan:

Jane’s real list of suspects was shown in Black Cherry.  It includes Brett Partridge, Ellis Mars, Dean
Harken, Jason Cooper, Walter Mashburn, Vint Molinari, Linus Wagner, Virgil
Minelli, Towlen Morning, and Osvaldo Ardiles.
Now by the time the S5 finale rolls around, Jane has probably narrowed
the list down by crossing off Partridge, Molinari, Wagner, Morning, and possible
Harken.  It is of course obvious to Jane
that the list of seven suspects provided by RJ does not in fact include RJ but
part of Jane’s plan is to play along for a while and figure out why RJ would
send him a list of seemingly random names.
Jane knows he’s been backed into a corner because the closer he gets to
catching RJ, the more people RJ is going to kill and you can bet that some of
those people will be the team members.
At this point in the series, Jane has reached a point where he still
wants to catch RJ but not at the cost of losing Lisbon and getting the team
killed.  Jane needs more time to
investigate the suspects on his real list but things are moving too fast and it’s
getting far too dangerous.  RJ kills
Partridge and Jane’s old psychiatrist.
Kirkland’s killing people from Jane’s fake list.  The Blake Association is killing people
including the PI that tried to bug the CBI.
Jane’s plan is simple: break RJ’s rules.
Jane exposes the Blake Association and then he fakes a RJ death.  To RJ it would look like Jane has proven
himself to be stupid again and he’ll lose interest and stop killing.  RJ will think he’s safe because no one is
looking for him and he’s no longer in immediate danger of being
discovered.  Any suspicions RJ has that
Jane’s still onto him will gradually die as Jane spends two years in South
America relaxing on the beach.  Jane
return to the states to work for the FBI won’t alert RJ because the FBI is
basically blackmailing Jane with McAllister’s murder to get him to work for
them.  This puts Jane in the perfect
position to take his time with investigating his real suspects for the rest of
the season starting with Ardiles in the Golden Hammer in January.

And here comes the explanation for exactly what we saw in the
Red John episode.

It all comes down to what happened in that house before it
blew up.   Jane has Reed, Bertram, and McAllister against the wall.
McAllister breaks and starts confessing about the tiger tiger
organization, that's when the "no!" we hear before the gunshot
happens, Bertram yells to get McAllister to stop and Jane fires a warning shot
that stops all the commotion.  McAllister tells Jane about the tiger tiger
group and makes a deal with Jane to help him in exchange for immunity.
Jane knocks Bertram and Reede Smith out.  He lets Stiles and Haffner
go in exchange for their promise to lay low until everything is over.
Haffner is reluctant but Stiles agrees and promises that Haffner will do
as he's told.  They drive away in the car that passes Lisbon.  I
would even guess that Stiles plays a much larger role.  Jane is helping Stiles fake his death and I
think in return Stiles promised to bring Jane back to the States after two
years.  I’m guessing that one of the FBI
agents above Kim Fisher is a member of Visualize. Jane and McAllister go get
three bodies that Jane stole from the morgue and put them in the house.
Jane also switched the DNA in the computer.  They drag Bertram and
Reede into the next room and Jane makes McAllister promise to meet in the
church in two days.  McAllister leaves and Jane blows up the house with
himself, Reed, and Bertram in the room over just before Lisbon gets there.

 Lisbon's
phone was bugged by RJ in the first episode of this season.  That was the
major clue, RJ called Jane on Lisbon's phone.  Where is Lisbon's phone?
Jane stole it from her when he hugged her before abandoning her on the
side of the road.  Jane doesn't take the phone with him into the house
before he blows it up so the first RJ hears about the bomb is from the media
and perhaps from local police.  RJ assumes that the tiger tiger club set
the bomb to kill the tiger tiger suspects and Jane before the organization was
revealed.

Jane announces to the press that Bertram is RJ and the manhunt begins.  At
the end of Fire and Brimstone, Jane goes to the church where he agreed to meet
with McAllister.  Jane lays out the plan to catch Bertram and RJ.
McAllister is able to contact Bertram using secret tiger tiger methods
without letting Bertram know that he's still alive.  He instructs Bertram
to kill off Jane and suggests that Bertram pretend to be RJ to lure Jane in.
McAllister and Jane finish planning and split paths.  Jane goes back
to his loft and recovers Lisbon's phone from where ever he put it so we know
that RJ is listening again.  All Jane has to do then is wait for Bertram's
call.

Moving on the the church scene.  Jane and Bertram have that little talk
and then Oscar shoots Bertram.  Now, Oscar knows McAllister so when
McAllister steps into the church, Oscar follows McAllister's instructions and
waits outside.  Jane still has Lisbon's phone with him so RJ hears the
entire pretend conversation between Jane and McAllister.  RJ thinks that
McAllister is the head of tiger tiger and is pretending to be RJ.  RJ hears
Jane defeat McAllister with a pigeon and then shoot him, shoot Oscar, and start
on the chase.  But the gun was a prop, so McAllister wasn't actually hurt
which explains why he was able to run a mile.  RJ hears Jane chase
McAllister down, the 911 call, Jane's disinterest in explanations, the psychic
claim, the sound of strangling and death, and Jane's call to Lisbon that it's
over.  Then Jane throws the phone away meaning that RJ no longer has ears
on the situation.

I’m guessing that Jane and McAllister chose that murder spot because there was
a surveillance camera that recorded the whole “murder.”  The woman in the church was a member of
Visualize and we’ll see her in a flashback removing McAllister’s body from the
crime scene so that the police never actually find it.  The video and the witnesses will be enough
for the police to charge Jane with McAllister’s murder.  But McAllister isn’t dead, he’s just laying
low for the next two years.  I imagine
that McAllister committed crimes for tiger tiger in his youth, maybe even
helped to create the organization, and is working with Jane in exchange for
Jane’s promise to testify at McAllister’s trial.  All of McAllister’s help with exposing Tiger
Tiger and helping Jane with RJ should be enough to get him clemency.

If I’m right, then in the upcoming episodes, we’ll see Jane “investigate”
Ardiles and then some of the other suspects on the list.  We’ll see either McAllister, Haffner, or
Stiles return and alert Lisbon to the fact that Jane’s been lying to her.  We’ll see a huge confrontation between Lisbon
and Jane.  Jane will reveal a large
portion of his plan to Lisbon but not all of it.  Jane and Lisbon will get closer to
discovering who RJ is while working FBI cases.
There will come a moment when RJ realizes he’s been cornered.  Lisbon will have her moment to confront RJ
and probably punch him.  Jane and RJ will
finally meet face to face and have the discussion we’ve been waiting for six
years.  RJ will have his final curtain
call when he kills Van Pelt and Rigsby.  Jane
will kill RJ.

RJ will be Walter Mashburn.

Killing Red John,
without killing Red John.

In order to answer the
question who is Red John the definition of who or what Red John is
vital.

Patrick Janes quest has
been one of personal revenge for the murder of his wife and child. To
him Red John is first and foremost the killer of his family.

I believe PJ has succeeded
in his quest by killing Sheriff McAllister.

To the common viewers
definition of Red John is much wider. Red John is the killer of many
people, he has superior intellect and ability to manipulate people
and has been ahead of Patrick for 5 seasons now. There are various
accomplices and clues given to his physical appearance as well as to
his psychology.

Now I don't think a Red
John fitting that description has been found. And maybe he will never
be simply because the concept is flawed by false assumptions.

Many people have argued
that the choice of McAllister was just random and that Heller didn't
have a plan and made everything up as he went along.

I am trying to show
connections that suggest the opposite.

There has been an ongoing
theme of twins throughout the show. Maya the victim of season 1 was a
twin, there were the twin horses Castor's Folly and Pollocks Dream
and many more.

Thomas
is of Aramaic
origin and literally means twin.

The twin theme has been
reinforced with by the blake poem in S02E23. The poem also introduced
the theme of trinity (Creator, Tyger, Lamb).

McAllister was introduced
in S01E02. In that episode the male murderer was called
Malcolm. The actor playing Bret Stiles is called Malcolm
McDowell.

Bret Stiles was introduced
in S02E20. The victim in
that episode was called Xander
Harrington. The actor playing McAllister
is called Xander Berkeley.

The
victim was killed by his father
Alex Herrington,
because he thought Xander
had betrayed him. In the end we learn that it was in fact Xanders
brother Ed' or Edward
Harrington who betrayed his father.

Alex
was the name of the character McDowell played in Clockwork Orange,
that ultimately made his career. Also if u combine Alex
and Xander you
basically get Alexander.

Now
the actor playing Ray Haffner is commonly referred to as Reed
Diamond, but his full name is Reed Edward
Diamond.

In the beginning of S02E23
Patrick is on a date with
Kristina Freye. Out of the blue she starts channeling the mother of
the waiter. The name of the mother is Janis. Janis
is a variation of the name Jane.

The
Roll tide
reference is linked to an Uncle Ed' Edward
the brother of the mother, who supposedly played tight end for the
Alabama
Crimson
Tide
in the 60's.

The
football stats reveal there is nobody by the name of Edward
that played this position for the Crimson
Tide
in that period.

The
name Edward is used only 3 times over the course of the show:

S02E20
Edward Harrington

S02E23
Uncle Edward

S04E05
Edward Fisher (the drug addict gardener)

In
an interview Heller referred to the Partridge death scene in
season six. He said there was a cryptic clue inserted that would only
make sense once all was revealed.

Now
I believe this clue is the number 666 as well as the devils pentagram
on the door. I see that clue not pointing at some random satanic cult
but at the beast 666:
Aleister Crowley!

Spoken
out loud Allister and Aleister sound vitually identical. The Red Barn
is often called Elliston farm because she is supposed
to be located in Elliston, CA. There is no such place. Spoken out
loud Elliston is very close to Allister/Aleister. The Sheriff Bret
Stiles used to cover up the Farragut death: Sheriff Elliot Ellswood.

Aleister
is a
name
Crowley gave himself. His birthname was Edward
Alexander

Crowley! He called himself a black magician. William Blake is one of
the Saints in O.T.O (Ordo
Templi Orientis)
in which Crowley was heavily involved.

O.T.O
use a Lamen that looks like that:

http://www.gnosticmass.com/Lamen-white-tbkg.gif

You
can see the eye as the symbol of visualize, the bird that have been
popping up everywhere lately and the cross that Lisbon is constantly
wearing.

For
a short explanation what a lame is:

Why does red john have to be in charge of Blake association? If he was why would he give Jane clued to bring it down. Mcallister never says he's red john. Does say he IS Blake association. Seems to me like it's all just a distraction by ed john. He used Blake to get into cbi that one time. Now he wants his pawn gone. Doesn't make sense a criminal mastermind would give away clues about his super secret association to his enemy. Misdirection!

The only thing that might backup Stoopkid's theories regarding VP and Rigsby is their reaction when they learned that CBI is being shut down.Did you see the way they looked at each other? Also, Jane is as cool as a cucumber as though he had intended for this to happen. If BH does intend to give us answers,i think VP and Rigsby will be part of the RJ plot.

"Surveillance" is the word best describes both the work of Red John and Ray Haffner. Red John is a professional serial killer. He does not want to make any mistake, so do his work best by following his targets like a shadow and study about their routine before he makes a move to kill them. Ray Haffner closes cases through "creative surveillance techniques" as mentioned by Lisbon in season 4 episode 2 and we have seen him doing that not only he bounds Cho to keep an eye out on Pattrick but also when he goes to Bertram to seek help to monitor the list of people on the red fake diary imitated by Pattrick which belonged to the victim of the same episode to throw Haffner out of the trail in order to solve the case with Lisbon to help her to get her job back. So both these people put on for surveillance before they move for their target.                                                                                   Besides Haffner has friends in FBI since he used to work their before. So it was easy for him to get to know that Pattrick did not kill Lisbon and Rigsby in the season 4 finale when FBI Agent Darcy claims that Lisbon and her team are playing them.

Bob Kirkland has many people working for his Homeland Investigation. In episode 8 of season 2, after Minelli's speech, you see Minelli is waiting for someone at the gates of CBI. A person in full black suit steps out of a limo. This is Bob Kirkland, who Minelli has been sending reports to, for years (since Red Dawn).

Minelli retires, and agrees that Gale Bertram should become boss, as he is a spy in Tyger Tyger. Fast forward 3 seasons, and you hear Bob Kirkland on the phone to "Tom". This is McAllister. Bob Kirkland also had a plan with Reede Smith. Smith's phone is tapped and traced, as evident when he is tracked down after handing himself in. When he "meets" with Reede in the park, they both pretend they don't know each other, because they have a trick planned.

Later on, the man with a more obvious beer belly is shot by Smith. This was Michael Kirkland, who had a drinking problem, as stated by Bob to Patrick Jane. The trick switch is done, and Bob is free.

I hope you would agree, the meeting of the 3 suspects of Reede, McAllister and Bertram is to talk about the arrests of BA members. And when Reede Smith says 'It's your job to know,' he is saying Bob Kirkland has tasked them with finding out how close Jane is to capturing Red John.

When Jane invites 3 of Kirkland's spies to the meeting of 5 suspects, Gale Bertram phones Bob Kirkland and informs Bob. Bob Kirkland is the only person with access to a military grade bomb. He can provide surrogates for the blast. Bob Kirkland knew that only since his 3 spies weren't Red John, one of the other people attending were.

After the first concussion bomb, you can see a black car, travelling in the opposite direction to Lisbon. Kirkland has kidnapped Stiles and Haffner. This makes sense as Jane wakes up later than everyone still left in his house.

Then Gale Bertram escapes capture using a SWAT suit in his home and someone called SWAT divisions from different regions. Only Bob Kirkland, a homeland agent could do that. The suit being in Bertram's house shows that Kirkland has planned this out very carefully.

End episode 7.

2 years passes after Episode 7! Not after episode 8. Episode 8 is a very special episode.

-----------------------------------------
Start episode 8: You cannot trust anything you see in episode 8. This episode is based on Kim Fischer's dream, just before she arrives in Mexico. First you'll want proof:

- the little girl closing the door looks like young Kim Fischer
- Jane is speaking Spanish in the episode, so she is obviously expecting him to speak it as he's been in Mexico for 2 years
- the events you see unfold are based on real FBI case files. Jane is suspected to have murdered Thomas McAllister.
- While the FBI agent personalities are spot on, the CBI team's is not. Grace would never bang her head.would never say "You're even worse than Cho". Their personalities are wrong because Kim doesn't know them.

Before the explosion at Jane's house, there is a gun in Jane's back pocket with Jane's fingerprints. Kirkland could have taken it. He was setting up DNA for some fake murders. He has the devious potential to pull of a masterful trick. In episode 8, we see this gun is placed in McAllister's hand. Noone witnessed any of these so-called murders at the point a person physically died.

I'm saying Bob Kirkland framed Jane for the murder of McAllister. So who is the killer? The very creepy Bob Kirkland. Thomas McAllister died a large distance away from Gale Bertram. It's like Kirkland was killing off loose ends.

Bob Kirkland always said he was willing to kill 7 people to get the job done.

He directly or indirectly killed Ben Marx, Michael Kirkland, the Barman, Gale Bertram, Oscar Cordeiro, Thomas McAllister and Ray Haffner, who Bob thought was the real Red John.

Earlier, I said Bob Kirkland kidnapped Haffner AND Stiles. I bet Stiles was tortured by Kirkland, but he never broke. That is, he never revealed the true identity of Red John. He must have blamed Haffner.

In My Blue Heaven, we see Roger. That is Bret Stiles, driven insane by torture. At some point, Stiles was handed over to Jane. (In the church probably).

At this point, there is no evidence that Red John, Brett Partridge was ever involved in events after Jane's house. He is safe and alive. "Red John" is figuratively dead because there is no way he can gather followers. First of all, he can't gather followers from Visualize as Stiles is away and incapacitated. Kirkland broke the conspiracy by getting the names of all BA members, from Bertram's flashdrive. And "Brett Partridge," doesn't have a job as a forensic scientist anymore.

Eventually, Jane will screw up and go under trial for the murder of Thomas McAllister. And he will be cleared. And Red John will be sat at his new home, watching as the judge says "Cleared of all charges!" Game on.
