He could be Harker Rosalind's brother.  Harker could the little girl whose family was scammed by Jane's.  Dean Harken could be trying to track down Jane, and murder his family.  Harker rosalind could have became blind, because she was trying to get cured & Jane scammed her.  Harker Rosalind might be her real name, and Dean Harken changed his last name.  He is working for a security firm, so he could probably have friends in the FBI as well as the CBI.  The clue He is Mar . . . could have been HAR for Harken.

So, now they are getting to push Jisbon story line?  It is safe to say that the show is done and done.

First, the writing is not that good anymore.  The most important episode, Red John, was wasted with banal chitchat and pointless chase scenes.

Second, scene development is so slow as to be glacial at times.  If you watch the scene where the church lady attacks PJ, you will get bored.  "Stop, I am with the police."  "No, you are not."  "Yes I am."  "Well, you don't look like it."  "Well, but it is true."  And on and on.  You really get bored with the repetition.  The actors seem bored repeating those lines.

Third, there are way too many characters on the show now.  Not to mention locales.  How are they going to keep them relevant with the glacial pace of scene development?  I fear they will have to resort to introducing characters by subtext on screen: Risgsby enters the scene, we will read in small letters, "Wayne Rigsby, former CBI agent and old friend of Patric Jane.  Now, runs own agency."

Finally, now that all that is left is murder of the week type episodes, those are no longer developed enough to the point of being semi-interesting.  They are going to be so bad as to be inconsistent and illogical within the span of 40 minutes (vs. 5 seasons with RJ) and resolved haphazardly.  (As was seen with the bogus fertilizer clue from the last episode.)

Either we as the audience have given the show way more leeway than it ever deserved, or they are intentionally making it worse with each show.

If you haven't been on the CBS website recently there's a behind the scenes interview with BH.  Hopefully this link will work:  http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_mentalist/video/YucQsDCUM5GL9PJSw7RWQiNoLbFdyB7R/behind-the-scenes-moving-up-to-the-fbi/   Appartently he wants to explore the relationship between Libson and PJ.  This is after both actors have repeately stated that it is a brother/sister relationship.  We have seen this "relationship" idea being pushed, but if RJ is still out there (as we all hope) was there really a need to move the location from the CBI to the FBI?  Why?  This moves the location completely away from RJ's hunting grounds.  I believe that RJ is still alive, but that he has not done all of the RJ killings, that his followers have done so under his orders.  I have never trusted the list and am not inclined to believe BH when he tells us RJ is on the list or anything else about the show.  I think this link is one more indication that we can not believe what BH tells us in interviews.  I have believed it was Partridge in the past but now think I need to re-examine our clues.  I think that BH is playing the long con on the audience.

I find it weird that TV.com's episode guide of The Mentalist doesn't go past episode 12 Golden Hammer       every other season of the mentalist tv.com lists the number of episodes and the episode titles  and gives an overview of the next at least 5 episodes        I believe Heller has something planned      I think Heller's gift to us and Red John's gift to Jane is we and Jane get to see what life is like without Red John ..............fuckin boring and pointless        Heller has crafted a smart and entertaining show and and I can't wait to see past Golden Hammer                                                                                                        does anyone care about tm's ep ?    Jane has to go on a date with some  blonde slut to solve the murders of a bunch of DEA agents?   really??         If Jane really has moved on he should have already seduced Lisbon and Fisher into a threesome ...............................then kill them both and paint a RJ smiley face on the wall and then dance around in a pink dress .........................just then he wakes up out of his coma dream and RJ is still alive
