Red John's case is closed. I do not think the producers would promote a new plot, a new beginning on TV if this case were not already closed. A "new beginning" was a desperate measure to hold the audience who was already bored. I believe that Bruno Heller would like to continue and reveal Red John only on a serie finale, but certainly, he were pressed because this plot already took a long time. Well, the season finale is coming and I really wish I was wrong! This series deserved much more!

I think Redjohn case is over (I hope me wrong), mentalist episodes is based on the manipulation, suspense complicated business ect ...
Why not do a full season for arrested or killed or eaten? (Wtf hannibal) redjohn then this is the largest plot of the series, why its sloppy 2 small episodes (and even then you would say), j hope that we will be amazed at the end of the season because if the sheriff is redjohn I would be really disappointed to have given an end as "simple" in this puzzle investigation which lasted six short seasons I express my discontent towards this end Redjohn.
After it's still a series enjoyed in moderation and with a cup of tea. :-)

Plausible/ unlikely question just to see what most of us want.

These are the 2 scenarios in case nothing else will happen about Red John so think of your answers like that please.:)  (which I'm a 100% sure is true, that story is over).

Plausible:  If the last episode of this season is the series finale, I would like Jane and Lisbon not to                   have  any kind of romantic moment, even if nothing else will happen about Red John and                   all we have left to remember is a shit season 6 and ridiculous filler episodes until the end.

Unlikely:    If the last episode of this season is the series finale, I would like Jane and Lisbon to have                 some kind of a romantic moment, why not have at least something that's a bit different,                     because if that doesn't happen then it's shit waste of time anyway.

What are the odds that we will get a full explanation in the next 4 episodes and get a satisfactory ending? The odds are against us for sure.

Even this Pike as Lisbon's love interest makes as much sense as McAllister being Red John------some FBI agent asks out Lisbon on a date after meeting her once, she fucks him and then on the second date he wants her to move to DC with him ---- all in two episodes? Is he gonna propose on the third date? Let's hope he saves that for the finale -----------the whole Lisbon "New Beginning" storyline hasn't made any sense----- after Jane killed Red John and the CBI disbanded super agent Lisbon joins some boring sherif dept? Then just drops everything to join the FBI and move to Austin ------- the only thing that gives me hope that Pike isn't just some boring love interest is that actor is also in Game of Thrones and he is awesome in it He has the potential to do an evil turn ---- The Mentalist is what it is ..... a network tv crime procedural staring a character that is a Sherlock Holmes rip-off

Well, I think it is very daring and bold for the writers to incorporate a homosexual relationship in the show between Wiley and Cho. There is a clear chemistry happening between them and I think the FBI agents and the CBI agents and even Bruno Heller ought to star in the final episode as twink mary-boys in a giant jack-booted circle jerk. I mean, the show is worthless anyways, so why not show what government really does with tax dollars? Who would not enjoy a violent homosexual sex romp on Jane's couch? It's very British, in my opinion!
