You know, when it was announced that the Identity of Red John would be revealed in season 6......... i instantly assumed that we would find out who Red John is in the season finale. Then the hunt for Red John would kickoff at the start of season 7 which would be the last season (at least i thought at the time). Now as we are coming to the conclusion of season 6, Red John is going to be mentioned near the season finale........................ coincidence?
Let me preface this by pasting a summary from IMDB´s description of episode 21:"After Jane finally came to terms with his past, his nemesis strikes once again, commiting murders at diffrent locations seemingly at the exact same time. "This episode is the one after Jane is put on trial for the Red John case, so presumably he manages to convince the jury why he killed Red John, and, more importantly, how he knew that he was in fact Red John.Now keep in mind that there is only one more episode after this, so there is little chance for any more plot twists......therefore I think that the real Red John will finally reveal himself in the final episode.
Since nowadays we're only using posts to express our disappointment on how the RJ storyline was handled and (in some rare cases) to hate / rage against others frequenting on the site. I got a proposal:
How about each one posts his version of how RJ could have been revealed?
Let's also have a small guideline as for it not to spin too much out of control:
- Start off after the season 5 finale.
- Do not focus on WHO RJ would've been, only the means of how the story should've unfolded in your opinion. I think picking a specific tends to throw other people off from reading one's theory constructively (if the pick was not their favorite).
- As an exception to the above rule, you can refer to RJ's gender if it serves your story's unfolding. (As some people lean towards him being a female).
- Please avoid wall-texting, use paragraphs, as I would love to read anyone's theory, no matter its length, as long as it's easy on the eyes.

Do you remember how excited you were before season 6 started? Did you ever think it would come to this? This might go down as one of the biggest fuck ups in tv history right up there with the last season of lost and sopranos and even more dissapointing than The Phantom Menace. Can you think of a bigger let down than the RJ reveal ? I have total faith in Heller that he will even fuck up his new Batmanless Batman show --------and for vintage Simon Baker --has anyone ever watched the short lived tv drama Smith staring Ray Liotta and Simon Baker it only lasted 8 episodes but Baker is great in it as a psycho who in the pilot ep kills two guys with a rifle just cause they cussed him out Check it out.

A twist at the end of the series would Kristina Frye be a Red John's follower. That would explain how he got the names from Patrick's list.
Red John's case is closed. I do not think the producers would promote a new plot, a new beginning on TV if this case were not already closed. A "new beginning" was a desperate measure to hold the audience who was already bored. I believe that Bruno Heller would like to continue and reveal Red John only on a serie finale, but certainly, he were pressed because this plot already took a long time. Well, the season finale is coming and I really wish I was wrong! This series deserved much more!
