LATEST THEORIES

Bob Kirkland would be a very very very lame but accurate hypothesis. He should be identical to his brother and he, not bob, had shaken Jane's hand at the first time.

A programme that leads you on for 6 series then answers absolutely no questions and makes absolutely no sense. So many clues, so little relevance. Bruno heller is a fucking retard.

Season 6 for me has been like this so far:

Episodes 1-7 :    Good (because I still had hope)
Episode   8   :     Shit
Episode   9   :     Good (because I enjoyed watching another side of PJ on the island)
Episodes 10-18:  Shit

So that means out of 18 episodes 8 have been good. (for me).
Even if the last one is good (if a miracle happens), we can still safely say this season has been shit.

I've never followed a show where the final season was this bad. In Dexter, even if the last episode was shit, the last season wasn't an embarrassment..The same with Lost..

My point is: Do we really care anymore? For example if Stiles or Haffner shows up in the last episode, are we going to be happy or are we going to think they are insulting our intelligence?

To be honest I'm not sure I want anything else to happen about Red John.. I feel like they already messed it up like I didn't think it was possible, so I don't see how one episode can make everything alright...It just doesn't. The ship has sailed..Don't you agree?

(And yes, I used to be a huge Mentalist fan, I've never loved any other show more than this one..That's why I'm still writing here because I feel so cheated..I'm starting to really like Hannibal, but it's not the same..In the future, I will still happily re-watch seasons 1-5, but season 6 never again! :D)

I think the IMDB episode description fake (edited by a fan)... but honestly.. I rather see the trial and have him reveal the real Red John during the trial.. maybe RJ being somebody so close to him like Lisbon.. that would be the end of a classic Mentalist episode and a show

Having read the synopsis for episode 6.21 where Jane finally faces the consequences for killing RJ, wouldn't it be interesting if those consequences were from killing Timothy Carter, NOT McAllister.

What I mean by that is this:

Most hard core fans who watched the show from the beginning seem to be in agreement that Timothy Carter made a great Red John and had the series ended in the mall with Jane killing Carter, a lot of questions would have remained unanswered, but it still would have made sense since Carter fit all the clues to that point.

Conversely, those same fans seem to be in agreement that revealing McAllister as the real Red John was lame at best because the same questions still were unanswered and he fit very few of the clues from earlier seasons. It simply didn't make sense on any level.

So what if Jane was in a coma ... not from the explosion in season 6 but in rather in a coma from some sort of beatdown (or something equally traumatic) that happened when he went into custody after the mall scene at the end of season 3 before his absurd acquittal in the first episode of season 4?

If that were the case it could plausibly explain the idiotic and unrealistic events that happened every now and then in the series from seasons 4 to 6, since the longer Jane is in a coma the more fantasy like his reality becomes.

So in essence what has happened between season 4 episode 1 and now has been in Jane's dream world as he becomes more out of touch with reality with the passing of time. Maybe Carter was the real RJ, maybe not.  If he wasn't, then maybe (and I'm probably giving Heller way too much creative credit here), Jane has been subconsciously putting the pieces together while in his coma and the clues that we see as totally unbelievable in the real world are just symbolic in meaning.

The real meanings and how they tie everything together will be revealed when Jane finally has his real day in court for the crime he committed at the end of season 3.

I realize this is hail Mary theory in hopes that the series doesn't crash and burn in total suckdom. I really don't care who RJ is (even it was McAllister) as long as it's explained and actually fits the clues given since the beginning.

Anyway, hope that made sense.

The only reason I'm still coming to this site is because the season is still not over and I have faith that Heller still has one last trick up his sleeve that will wrap up the series and give us the satisfying end to the RJ saga that we all desire Even though these last couple of episodes have really tested my faith ------------ I still believe ................................there is no fuckin way that this is how this show is gonna go out.
