As a big fan of this show I thought the RJ story is one of the best in TV history. And then I got spit in my face like all of you.I don't really mind this Jisbon thing but until then it ruins the unique amazing story for nothing. I'm pretty sure that 7th season will be full of Jisbon shit till the end like wedding where everyone's happy.But I still have little hope that the last unknown 13th episode will be named with something "red / blood" and it will be the grand finale of the show with not only Jisbon but the history of Red John as well.In february along with ending of the show I'll have my birthday. So I'm glad that all will end in anyway, but hope it will be impressive and we're all will get RJ PJ real showdown.

I found the season premiere really boring compared to past ones. Maybe it is just because i can't look at the Mentalist the same anymore after what happened with the Red John storyline.
I used to get so excited and felt the Mentalist was different from other shows, i even told all my friends and everyone to watch it.
Now the show just feels fake , for me it felt like the whole show died with Red John.

I do hope we see that smiley face again , something feels rather off. I so didn't realise Marcus Pike was from Game of Thrones till i seen him with the beard in the last episode haha. Anyone else experience that moment?

I won't dish fans who say the show is great , or i won't dish fans who believe the Red John Storyline will continue. I just don't really know how i feel about the show. If the Red John story-line is truly over, it will feel like the whole show has been a big disappointment. I don't hate the new show it just feels really mundane and boring and it is missing the spark it used to have.

Also i would like to say that Stoopkid has had some amazing theories and i don't know why people abuse him. He loves the show and its his opinion that Red John will come back. In a way i think most Red John fans hold a little hope and haven't fully given up yet. Lets just hope the Mentalist doesn't let all the fans down for this new boring show.

I really liked it. No bullshit.
Yea it was jisbon centered but they actually had good dialogue between the two of them. Wasnt fake or corny and its funny to see lisbon and Jane communicating at all.
Cho is still the man.

I like the subject matter of the cases since Baker took over.
He had a little anti gov big corporation thing going that i enjoy.
Best line was when dude was ranting about government stealing taxes Cho said "i know"
Or when cho first saw Lisbon he asked two questions and was right back to business!
The Fbi cases are linked to actual real world problems. This was selling of government guns to gangs.
Last year was fracking, sex trade, etc...
No more rink dinky love triangle murder of the weeks.

O and i get the feeling Fischer has a psycho crush on Jane and will return to kill Lisbon! Haha

O and Jane still wears his wedding ring ;)

Honestly i enjoy this show no matter what the episode is like.
I am not gonna bash it just bc it isnt dark like i want cuz it still fun for me.

I do however think Styles and some Red John focused discussions will go down at some point.

Maybe one could argue that in the end most serial killers are caught and not while they have the upper hand. Maybe Helper thought of season 6 of the mistakes and the demise of Red John. He was exceedingly clever and was in the upper hand right until he let his guard down to Jane. Maybe he was so certain and proud of himself and he wanted to the game to end so he thought it's time to end Jane. Bertram was already pronounced as Red John by Jane himself, as he said it would be a fitting end to the story if they were both found dead, together. I don't know. It's so conflicting. It seems like Heller thought of the BA, and bird acrophobia many years since the s how's commencement. One can clearly see a difference of opinion, a lack of continuity, and a sudden change of direction and ideas when it comes to gradual evolution of the Red John arc.

I think Heller totally screwed the pooch on this show. The fact that he could not write a show where when you looked back, you could see the "evidence" against Red John is inexcusable.

Now they are going to waste what? 12? shows on some half assed denouement. 

My husband came up with an ending I could be happy with: we go through all the BS with Lisbon and Jane's relationship and as he is carrying her over the threshold of a hotel room, you look on the bed and there are red rose petals in the shape of a smiley face. Fade to black.

I would be 10x happier with this than any dreck they are going to dump on us. 

I do like, though, that they have not named the last episode. I shouldn't hope, though, should I?

BTW, I thought Bradley Whitfield was a much better RJ than McAllister. 

And I am still holding out for something else with Pike. 

Cheers to the new season! At least Simon Baker's smile will still be there!
