I don't think RJ is a specific person. I think RJ is an idea influenced under a few people, or even a larger group of people. Whether that group is under the influence of vizualize, I don't know, but I do know that RJ can't be one single person.

This isn't a theory, but it's something I'm noticing.
Go back through any episodes you care to re-watch, from as far back as you can. Notice how many times you hear the word "visualize," used in conversation, either in interrogation or otherwise. In the past week I've noticed it twice, once from the episode "Red Badge" (spoken by Roy Carmen) and once in the episode "Red Gold" (spoken by Wes Atwood).
This can't be a coincidence. Visualize is a big part of the puzzle, folks.
I think it is stiles because it is always very strange with patrick it is cold and nasty. He is my number one suspect
I think that Lorelei didnt know the real RJ, she thought that Kirkland was RJ because he is RJ's right hand and Kirkland her everytime, probably talkin like he were RJ. It's also posible that he did something similar with Jason. I dont think that the writers will give that obvious clues(the handshake thing and that scene at the hospital)
We all don't know, who actually RJ is but I'm 100% sure that it IS NOT Jane.
Maybe with some special effects they can give Simon Baker(Jane) another role as Jane's twin and he can play a second role at the final chapter. Why a twin(because RedJonh is as clever as Jane)
Still a few things I can't explain, but here's my theory. Patrick is Red John, but he doesn't know he is. Gradually over the next few series, Lisbon will start to work this out. The entire thing ending with Patrick himself coming to realise that he is indeed the man he has hunted all along. Patrick will have no choice but to kill himself in order to kill Red John. Lisbon will want to stop him, to save Patrick. Lisbon will fail, Partrick will commit suicide. Split personality basically. Like Jekyl and Hyde.
Here are a few theories on Robert Kirkland. I don't think that he is RJ, and I think that him getting a facelift is absurd. I hope that the writers wouldn't do that to us the viewers. But I do think that he is corrupt in some way.
1. He is an accomplice of RJ. Probably very high up, but rarely seen because of his deep cover in Homeland Security. He may be RJs right hand man, even. He was seen by Jason Lennon once many years ago, and RK asked Jason if he could recognize him. Not because he has a "new face", but because he could have blown his cover and wants to be sure that no one else knows who he is. If Lennon had known who he was, RK would have had to kill the people he had told about RKs true identity. He kills him anyway because he is ordered to do so by RJ, so that Lennon can't tell Jane who Red John is.
or
2. Robert Kirkland is/was involved in the operation going on at the shelter and bought one of the women that were being sold. That would also explain him wanting to know if Lennon could ID him and thus know if he had told anyone about RKs corruption. RK then killed him so that he wouldn't tell PJ or anyone else about his involvement in the operation at the shelter.
or
3. Both. RK is Red John's right hand man, but was never seen by Lennon until he bought one of the women from the shelter. Not knowing that Lennon worked for RJ at the time, he didn't use a disguise. So RK had to make sure that Lennon didn't recognize him so that he didn't tell anyone (especially RJ) about his involvement with the shelter. This would both cost him is job (and cover) in Homeland Security and probably his life from RJ for making mistakes.
Those are my theories on RKs involvement. Hope you like it!
