Some days ago I wrote this:

I think Robert Kirkland was Miranda Martins' s boyfriend (Lorelei 's sister), that 's
why he asked Lennon if he recognized him. After knowing Lennon was involved in
Miranda 's murder, he killed Lennon for revenge, and didn’t asked who Red John
was because it was useless.

And that's why Kirkland is behind Patrick's footsteps, he has
not the intelligence of Patrick, Kirkland will wait for Patrick to catch Red
John because HE wants s to kill him first.



I have been thinking why RK did not
kill Lennon while he was in coma, the answer that comes to me is because he
wants to kwon if Lennon (and Red John) know who he is and what he is doing. If  Red John discovers RK is after him, sure is a
dead man… the only one Red John allows trying to catch him is Patrick Jane.

Kirkland is following Patrick since
he is a member of the CBI (the telephone call in the limo five years ago), but
he appeared when he was "kidnapping" by Lorelei. I don t think
this is coincidence. When he first met Jane he
said “but i know you...”. 
Someone wrote to me it would be interesting if another of RJ's victims family
members turned up. I really like this cause it would be like another
Jane but “in the shadow”. Plus I'm tired everyone being friends of  Red John !!!!!

por eso que Kirkland está detrás de los pasos de Jane, no tiene la inteligencia
de Patrick, Kirkland va a esperar a que Patrick atrape a Red John porque él lo
quiere matar primero.



Estuve
pensando porqué RK no mató a Lennon cuando estaba en coma, lo que se me ocurre
es que quería saber si Lennon (y Red John) saber quién es él y qué está
haciendo. Si Red John descubre que RK está tras de él, es hombre muerto, la
única persona que Red John permite que lo persiga es Patrick Jane.

Kirkland
está siguiendo a Patrick desde que él es miembro de CBI (la llamada telefónica
desde la limusina 5 años atrás), pero aparece cuando Jane es “secuestrado” por
Lorelei. No creo que esto sea una coincidencia. Cuando se cruzó por primera vez
con Jane le dijo “pero yo te conozco a vos”. Alguien me escribió que sería interesante
que otro familiar de una víctima de Red John apareciera. Me encanta la idea
porque sería como otro Patrick pero “en la sombra”. Además estoy cansada de que
todos sean amigos de Red John !!!!!

After watching all the episodes and reading the theories, this is what I have come up with.

Walter Mashburn- seems like a good candidate. Rich, powerful and charismatic. However, when Lorelei said "I only wonder why the two of you didn't become life-long friends the moment you shook hands.", I think we can safely eliminate him. As we saw in the previous episodes, they got along very well and we can even say that they became friends. Therefore, Walter Mashburn isn't Red John.

Brett Stiles- seemed like a good candidate until Rosalind Harker's description. On the other hand, I strongly believe that he does have some information on Red John as he does give PJ some information about him etc. He will be a key figure in the hunt for Red John.

Brett Partridge- favourite RJ prediction on this site. I have to admit, he does seem like a good candidate. However, he doesn't look to be the right age to be RJ. Also, Brett gives me the impression of being a bit weird but not RJ weird.

CBI Ron- Does seem like a 'Waldo' character just like Heller said but hasn't spoken a line since the start of the show if I recall correctly. Also when Rosalind describes RJ, she doesn't mention facial hair and says he is quite slim.

Bob Kirkland- Contrary to the popular opinion, I think he is a positive character. As we see from the last episode, he wants to find about RJ. My personal guess would be that he is very similar character to PJ. For example Lorelei/Miranda was somehow related to him and he wants to avenge her death (can be someone else). You can look at him like a Snape character (from Harry Potter), first the viewers see him as a negative character but as the story progresses we find out that he is actually very positive. Same as Snap I think Kirkland is gonna be killed by RJ (or someone else).

Dean Harken- 'flavour of the week', he seems as a freaky person. Moreover, has red hair and talks about his powerful friends- "I'll call my friends at the FBI, get them to take over from you. In fact, I will do that.". Seems like a decent candidate for RJ.

Gale Bertram/Virgil Minelli- both seem like nice guys (especially Virgil) and don't fit into Rosalind's description. Bertram is working with Kirkland so in my mind that would eliminate him. However, he did recite 'Tyger Tyger' to Lisbon meaning that he knows RJ (without knowing it) and heard it from him.

Ray Haffner- doesn't seems clever enough but does fit into the "when you shook hands" thing. Still don't think its him.

i think Jane smiled at the end because he could eliminate Bob from the list of the suspects, only someone who wants to know who's RJ would want to know details of Jane's conclusions. but the thing that intrigues and make me doubt this theory is why did he killed that person last time!

 Dean Harken is a character in Code Red.
He's an Agent of CDCA (California
Disease Control Agency), based on real CDC (Center of Disease Control
and Prevention), that investigate on biological menace, especially on
dangerous diseases.
He's probably married (has a wedding ring at finger), and Patrick Jane
describe him as one who like scared people, and an irksome man.


He has friends in FBI, possibility of money (stealing the flask of GMO virus), and poison Rebecca with special venom.


In episode Black Cherry, his name is in Jane's List of
Suspects to be Red John, with the notes: Agent CDCA - Red Hair - Biotech
Facility. Jane talks briefly on him with Lisbon.
