J.J.laRoche is either red john, or red john mole inside CBI.
if you listen carefully to what Scott saynay was trying to say: "it is red john,red john".
this may imply that either :
A-red john is the one who offended j.j.laRoche's mother and had saynay take the blame for it so he cut his tongue making him unable to defend himself in court.or
B-j.j.laroche is red john and took his revenge by cutting saynay's tongue to make him suffer life long.
Personally i think that laroche is another disciple to red john and he looks like lorelie who had her sister killed by red john and blame another man for it, and also he looks like Rebecca because he is as creepy as she is and he collects hummels figurines just like she collects something similar (don't remember it right now).
2 similar disciples in CBI would suggest that their master is mostly within CBI also and my best candidate for this is VIRGIL Minelli.

I just realized something. Lets be a bit linguistic now. His name is J. J. Laroche, it sounds a french name to me. Maybe is an artificial name, which can be the key to know his real name ( Red John).
J can stand for John, but there is two of J, so John John Laroche. Do you remember the Blake poem? Tiger, Tiger... --> J.J.
It is just a theory, but what made me write this theory is the second part of his name: Laroche, or La Roche, it sound french, so better say Le Rouge, which means " The Red", so basically his name means John, John, the Red ---> Tiger, tiger, burning bright.....
This cant be a coincidence. I hope you share my opinion. Sorry for my bad english and if anyone have already wrote this. But please comment :)
I think Red John wanted to turn La Roche to his side the same way he turned Lorelei.. RJ sent the rapist to rape La Roche's mother, making him weak after she committed suicide 3 months later. When the rapist was sleeping the night before his trail, Red John cut his tongue and sent it to La Roche as a gift.. Thus the Tupperware has the guy's tongue..
The fact that cutting only his tongue and not kill him is consistent

torturing Patrick for the last 10 years.I am saying if it was Red John
would make sense because he clearly wanted him to suffer more.If you
die, you die, but living without your tongue is a different kind of
matter.Of course, it doesn't make sense for Red John to do this, the
deed was obviously LaRoche's and the only way it can be connected with
RJ is if LaRoche is RJ, which I doubt, but anything can be possible.Maybe RJ really is LaRoche and he's pretending to play with Patrick some more.
