LATEST THEORIES

I highly doubt that any of the seven suspects on the list are red john. We've got two more seasons to go and it wouldn't be that easy to choose between seven people. There's going to be a twist and Jane will have to start over. I've got two people that I feel could possibly be red john and know James memories:

1. Alex Jane. Its been said before and the points against it are good but if Bret stiles could potentially be RJ then Alex Jane could be as well. I mean all he does is stab a few girls. You don't have to be gym junkie to be able to do that and even 60 year old men are stronger than most sleeping women. As for killing jane 's family suddenly could be because Jane slandered him and he did it to show his dominance over Jane. After all he did bully Jane and with Jane going to the carter springs place and the Irish guy saying his dad was wicked comparing Jane to him it seems like huge hint. Plus we haven't seen his actual appearance outside of the flashback and with all these hints were bound to see him unless he's dead.

2. This is a far shot but it could be the owner of the mental hospital Jane was in. He could easily drug Jane and hypnotize him finding out his thoughts, ambitions and memories plus all the accomplices are screwed up so he could "cure" them and turn them into accomplices via brainwashing. Sort of like visualize but with paranoid schizophrenics and deeply tortured souls. Makes perfect sense. His web of followers could branch out from this because even normal people have mental breakdowns especially if red john is the one causing that breakdown and pain in order to get them to go to the mental hospital so he can work with them and make them do his dirty work all in the name of liberation and his grand scheme Rebecca was talking about.Could also be a part time psychologist. Plus this would give him tons of money, skills, willing subordinates, and most importantly motive. He wants an army of cdazies to take over the world, show them his pain and then guide them down a " higher path."

I have to suspects. Brett Partridge, or Patrick's father. He was there all of those times, and knows everything Red John does. When people accuse Patrick, it is the same as his dad, but Patrick isn't Red John. But his dad may be.

I think we will soon learn a little bit more about Van Pelt. We all know she has a dark past that nobody knows about. They briefly more than once talked about it, (like when Jane tells her, or when she talks to her RJ crazy ex BF in the wood).

Plus she is Red haired and I know for a fact that in the real life she's not. A lot of Red Haired woman in this show. But more than anything, we know something happened, but we know just little enough to not pay too much attention...

Then, I don't think RJ is on the list. The writters of this show are always looking for a twist and surprises. What a let down if you know in advance for an entire season a liste of suspect; that would definatly remove the surprise of the big finale.
And also. Anybody on the list, would be a let down.
Brett Style ? Too expected. Highly suspectable because of his capabilities and they showed us more than once that he could be.
Same for Kirkland, after what they did, it is evident that the audience suspect him somehow someway.

The sheriff or the guy of the FBI ? We'll barely saw them, what a let down if suddenly TADAAAAAA it was them !!!!! Ea-sy... Doesnt show a lot of imagination for a big finale.

The boss of the CBI and the other one ? Please... Take a moment to imagine it is in fact one of them... That's not really likely and exiting ...

Brett Paridge would be a good thing, but ... I don't know...

My opinion is that the list is a distraction. The writters will make their best to make RJ somebody never expected ! With this list, the surprise effect is dead anymore.

I think maybe all this thing never existed, it is all in the head of PJ. In fact he's crazy and in an hospital. That's why we had a flash of him in the bed when he sees his daughter, when he takes the drugg, that's why also all the crazy thing can happen in the show (like the other ones believing she's dead).

A big finale like fight club... But ending with him in a Psy hospital with a lot of delusions.

If it is not, I can believe it is his father or something like that.
But I think Van Pelt has a role and we'll know more about her soon. What is already, she had a sister who died ? something like that ? She said no but PJ said she had a rough childhood....

I have a feeling that Brett is our man. As millions of you guys pointed out he fits the physical description by Rosalind. He is also that age I would imagine red john to be since his murders started in 1990s and I doubt he would the age of Stiles. Although he might be also connected to him. I like the idea of Stiles being RJs father and RJ a former member of visualize. That is why Stiles refuses to tell more about RJ although he clearly knows a lot about him. Another thing is the fact that he works at forensics. I mean does it get better for a serial killer than to work at forensics? He is summoned to places where his murders took place and in case he missed something he has the opportunity to fix it. That is why he almost never leaves any evidence. On top of that he can observe PJ while working and that is certainly beneficial for him, that is why he knows him that well. He also have that creepy vibe about him which is not a valid argument but you know :)

I think its more fun to consider several suspects even if Jane "was at the mental house when a rj murder happend." I like to play with the idea.

So, IF, repating if! Jane is red john, then I think Kirkland jobs for himself, not RJ-jane. Obviously. And the handshake thing is a bluff.

I've got two important questions if Jane is RJ.

1. Does his accomplices know that RJ is Jane, do they know his face?
2. He had to start of as RJ young, what led to the murder of his wife and daughter, and what kicked him into become RJ?

I don't think Jane is RJ, but if he is that would be great fun.
This questions can also be asked without any suspects.

The writing of this series is unraveling. Characters are now frighteningly one dimensional. The plot is accelerating into silliness that makes the commercials look good. So, let's "go with the flow": Jane is a multiple personality who's "dark side" is hidden from his "grinning side." As a con-artist mentalist, he "hypnotizes" the pawns of Red John to thicken the plot but all are mentally "under" his control. Barf!

I'm not even sure if RJ is in the list but i'm sure EVERY person in the list will have a special relationship with RJ..But i want to say some things.

2-3 suspects are just there for episodes expanding like the Sherrif etc.

I don't know about the other but i want to speak for 4 people.

Kirkland: He stole the list after Lorelei's death so that means RJ knew from before that Patrick is doing a list and stuff. HOW? Start searching the people Jane told about the list.I suspect Lisbon but all the love stories fans will oppose me.I think Kirkland is after Red John too.I don't know why but i think he stole the list from Patrick and he asked Alexa (FBI) for infos so he can catch RJ first.So i think we will find a very deep story behind him soon. The scene in the hospital where Kirkland asked the RJ accoplice if he recognizes him is a bit strange tho.I think Kirkland was just a bait so we think we have a RJ suspect but in fact he is not! (++ Episodes for next season)

Mhm..he fits the profile but he doesn't seem too clever to me.(Maybe he pretends to play with Patrick).I like how everytime he speaks to Patrick behind him is the Red Face but i don;t think he is mentally strong enought to be RJ. Plus he always seems a bit afraid when talking to Jane.

Heffner:
He dissapeared all this time after the Barn episode so we will have news from him soon. (Maybe the oldest friend of RJ).

Jane's Father.
Ye i know he is old,we dont know where he is etc etc..but he is the only one that could possibly know the happy memories of Jane.His motive for all these things?Dunno. I think we will see him too.Maybe he was hypnotized by RJ and he revealed Patrick's past to RJ.

Teresa:
Heh..(All people that watch the show for the love story please skip this). I know that she is considered a friend and the only person Patrick trusts but...look her face in every scene that RJ is the subject.Always a grin or a smile.She was asking like a maniac about the list everytime she could.She knew about the list from begin.So Red John may found out from her (video).I think and i want Teresa to be an accoplice of RJ.That or she is manipulated/hypnotized to reveal things.I think she will play a big role at the final episode.I think she is evil:P
