I just posted this to ask people who think that Red John is Patrick Jane to consider the fact that Patrick has visited Red Johns blind girlfriend. If Patrick was indeed Red John the girlfriend would have known immediately.
I think Susan Darcy is Red Johns accomplice in the FBI.
I think its highly unlikely to be Patrick for a few different reasons. One, there happens to be a couple episodes where Patrick and Red John are actually in together. For example, the one where Red John recites a poem in Patrick's ear. Or where Red John slips a note under Patrick's hotel door and he chases him down. I disagree with the theory of Red John actually being Patrick.

I believe RJ is PJ's father. We have not seen him sinse season 1. I believe he is angry at his son for abandoning the family con business. That is why he kills people around PJ, but not PJ.
He loves PJ and admires him.
Red John(RJ) has to be Patrick, there is no one intelligent as him as you all know patric is brilliant and knows without them speaking.patric never uses gun and guess rj uses knifes never a gun. he cannot read rj friends because he himself hypnotises them and in rj friend episode why did jared contact pj since he is friend and how does rj know jared's location and you should be amazed what ever patrick knows rj also knows them how, how come there is recorded message to luther and luther is another person who thinks patrick is rj so he kills him in the mission by manuplating everyone. only doubt i have is does he know he is rj or he lost his one half as he saw his family die, he was also hospitalized for his mental illness.there is no coincedence but i will be happy if rj is pj and season 5 is gonna see pj's dark side.
According to me susan darcy is RJ...and as someone said earlier RJ being one of Lisbons colleagues would defnitely result in the retrials of the case is legit :) And im damn sure that RJ is not one among Lisbons team :)
