LATEST THEORIES

I believe Red John would have to a possible homosexual man (no offence to anyone). Why? Because his regular victims are females and he's killed males only when they show a possible threat to him or his identity. This might sound like a weak theory, but as a student of psychology, I'm forced to analyse the personality of the person who is Red John and why he only kills women as his "regular" victims. 

Brett Partridge does make a good suspect because of his placement in the Forensic Dept,his attitude towards Jane and the RJ case investigations, his voice, his appearence (that matches Rosalind and the little girl's description) and moreover, to support my theory, Mr.Plotnick has potrayed his role in a somewhat feminine body-language, almost homosexual.

Of course, there's also the fact that RJ is a rich, highly influential person, making Partridge innocent (except we don't really know his financial status). 

This also makes me think RJ could have something to do with Brett Stiles's cult "Visualize" and it's recurring appearance. Even though Stiles is quite old to be RJ, it could either be him or one of his disciples. 

And finally, I personally think we can suspect one more person: Mr.Amos Van Pelt (Grace's father). I thought of him because of what that FBI mole said about him when he met grace for the first time, mentioning what a great influence he was for him back in high-school.

So here's my suspect list:

1. Brett Partridge 
2. Brett Stiles or a protege of his.
3. Amos Van Pelt (just a hunch)

bret stiles is RJ,everything he does is related to every case related red john.
he also knew where kristina fry was when she was taken away by red john.
he always relates everything with the word and colour RED.
the red smoke,his thoughts are reds thoughts.
he is giving pain to jane by gettin into his life again and again.
i believe its bret stiles who is red john.

I believe Red John is a group of people.  That makes them more illusive.  There of course is a leader and that leader is in question, but many are in this group.  this makes sense to me because the people that help "Red John" are often killers or people hoping to rise in power.  Some of the greatest movies and television shows are based on secret groups willing to do evil things to rise to power.

Just a guess, but this seems the only thing that makes all of it fit.  I do not think it is Jane.  Nor kistina frye or grace.

I have been watching all the episodes of this great serie and i believe Red John have never showed himself to the public "yet"
All the caracters we have seen untill now are just people working on catching RJ or working on helping RJ but clearly RJ himself have not been on the show yet.

I think that Miss Schultz of the FBI and that guy in the limo are just the high officers helping RJ, dont forget patrick mentioned this already a few times.... remember that RJ's only chance of not getting cought is help from the inside.

The thing is..... this whole serie is not about Patrick Jane but about Red John ( think about it ) the most exiting episodes are the ones with RJ in it, if the writers of the serie put out RJ face now it will defenitly mean the end of the serie.
I just think the guy in the last episode  Wth Miss Schultz in the limo is gonna shake up some things but cannot be RJ.

If you happen to read Carl Jung's Red Book, then this will explain everything. Jane's mind created this world of hallucinations, self-induced hallucinations. We can see the character reading Carl Jung's book in select episodes. This is a story of person's journey to the unconscious, where he (the mentalist) creates a world of "what ifs" and begins to formulate his own solution of the struggles faced within the imaginary world.

After last night's last episode, I think that it is clear to everyone that Agent Alexa Schultz from the FBI is Red John's accomplice in the police forces: she is the link between Red John and the forces. She is the key to this investigation. And the man who was sitting in front of her in the car (I identied Oscar Ardiles) could possibly be either Red John or more likely another accomplice of Red John; Bruno Heller would not give us an obvious sign of him. I think he wants to fool us, again.
Or, it could be Virgil Minelli, it is another likely theory.
Or, my other theory is that either these three are Red John at the same time, or they are three accomplices of Red John inside the police forces.

I think the man in car with the agent who worked with red john looks like Bret Stiles .could he be his son? I mean perhaps its the reason why Bret knows about red John a lot becouse his son is red john?
