what im thinking of ,has never been written in this site,and im not sure its valid.
But it has to do with the old memory of patrick. 4th of july picnik,aylyn (lili) barlow .
It means that either jane has told this memory to someone or red john is really a psychic.
The only period that jane could have shared this memory with someone, and cant remember it, its during the year after his family's death.Its mentioned (from fbi i think)that prior to working at the CBI, Jane suffered a nervous breakdown due to guilt over the death of his family. He has kept the incident a secret from his CBI co-workers, and it is not in his records.And he was in a mental institution.
THERE(!!!), i think ,he could have shared his old memory with a doctor or a fellow "crazy" guy, who could have said it to red john.
Maybe one of his doctors was red john. he has already used the name "Dr. Joe N.H."
Think about it.

I have been been counting down the days to the season six premier of the mentalist ever since Red John's rules aired last month and have also been composing my own list of suspects deriving from the seven Jane had down....

THE BEST WAY TO FIGURE OUT WHO THE REAL RED JOHN IS BY THE SIMPLE PROCESS OF ELIMINATION:

1.) The first and easiest person for me to eliminate is Robert Kirkland.....First of all, Lorelie told jane that she was suprised RJ and Jane didnt become life long friends the FIRST time they shook hands!....Theyre is no plausible way for Lorelie to have the KNOWLEDGE of Jane and Kirkland's handshake, she was in prison and had no contact with Red John or Jane at this point in the show...Second of all, Kirkland killed Lennon in the middle of a hospital with witnesses everywhere (not RJ's M.O. at all!!!), and furthermore, Lennon did not remember kirland!! IM PRETTY SURE JASON LENNON WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED HIS BOSS RED JOHN!!!! And Last but certainly not least, Kirkland had to break in to Jane's office to figure out what he knew about RJ"S identity, The video with Lorelei before her death was made before this!!!...NO WAY KIRKLAND IS RED JOHN!!!!! ...Granted he may be an accomplice,, but im not even so sure that is the reason he appears so shady and killed jason lennon.

2.) The next suspect i had to eliminate is Reede Smith...What do we know about him? not much at all...hes short and fat..(going against Rosalind's description), Hes in the FBI (RJ claimed to have a good friend in the FBI, Making us infer that he is not actualy in the FBI himself), and I also dont feel that Lorelei would have the knowledge of him and Jane shaking hands...I cant say that she didnt know about it for sure...but i cant say that she did know about it for sure either....

3.) As much as i would love to see him be Red John, because it would be very chilling and dramatic, Brett Stiles is in no way shape or form Red John....His age is way off, his physical characteristics are way off...And more importatnly he is way to busy running his religion to have enough time to be Red John.....There are literlaly hundreds of other reason why he isnt Red John but i dont want to ramble any more than i already have....I feel that bruno heller threw his name in the batch just to stir up some drama and it is working :)

4.) Brett Partridge is probably the most obvious choice and is the landslide favorite for Red John on this website.....I DONT SEE IT THOUGH...For one he is just a little bit too young...(probably between ages 30-35) which means he would have have to of been between the ages of 15-20 when he killed the two farmers at Elliston Farm, not saying its not possible, just sayuing its not plausible!  I just feel that he is to obvious of a choice and too minor of a character at the same time...I cant compeletly eliminate him but I feel very strongly that he is not our man......

That leaves me with three people. Thomas McCallister, Ray Hafner and Gale Bertram.....I really really really hope it is not McCallister...One minor role in the 2nd episode of the show.....I will slip in to a LONG DEEP deppresion if he turns out to be Red John,,, But i really cant see him being our guy.....SO THEN THERE IS TWO POSSIBLE RED JOHNS

Ray Hafner and Gale Bertram......Hafner has a lot of clues pointing to him with his physical characteristics and his age and his visusalize affiliation,,,but i REALLY REALLY like Bertram...

The William Blake references, The only one of the 7 suspects who has been proven to be an avid tea drinker (as has Red John!), and all of his acts in the season 3 finale, his desire to keep Jane locked up for as long as possible after he killed Timothy Carter, But the main thing to me is: HE IS JANE's BOSS!!!! he has control over jane and all of the cbi...he can retrieve any information at any time on the Red John Case,,, he also could have devised a way to sneak in to Jane's Lair and come up with his 7 suspects before Lorelie died, without Jane knowing about it!!!

Gale Bertram is Red John!!!!!!!!
