Well, I can't say that I've watched all episodes, but I'm quite certain that Red John is not just a single person, but a cult. Their members are all over the FBI and CBI, which is how "he" gets to know everything, or they are CEOs or such, which is how he funds himself if required.
I think Bret Stiles is definitely involved: Bret has shook Patrick's hand, their characters are similar - they both know how to manipulate people and they both are 'mentalists' (if that's the true saying) -. And he knows about Red John's actions. For example, he told Patrick the location of Kristina Fry.
Please leave a comment below, I want to know if I missed evidence or haven't seen one.

Just a thought: perhaps RJ is not just one person, but all or many of the people on the list. Maybe that's why "he" appears all knowing.

Kirkland is a decoy IMO, he'd be far too obvious to be RJ. He strikes me as someone out for Justice, much like PJ. 

I'm thinking it could be CBI Ron, or he could be an accomplice. He works for the CBI, and we've long suspected that RJ has an insider at the CBI, or works for the CBI himself, given how he's able to access their servers and even access the building himself (like when Rebecca was murdered in season 2). Also, the old saying is "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer". How better to analyse and watch Patrick, than to spend each day in the same building? 

For all we know, the list given in season 5 could be a decoy, Bruno may have said that the list was real, but he's backtracked on things before, and this could be another bluff.

To end, in season 4, when RJ's at Rosalind's house, we see RJ's arm holding a teacup, and he's wearing a suit much like Ron wears, is a similar build to Ron (in arm thickness) and has a hairy hand, Ron is hairy.

Not a theory, only a comment.

Some people are saying "he's too old", "he's too young", "he didn't shake hands with PJ", etc. That makes no sense. if they couldn't be RJ, Patrick wouldn't put them on the list.

I believe its Minelli because of several things.
The first one that jumped out at me was in the flashback episode to Jane joining the CBI.  Minelli seemed very keen to have Jane on board.  And that phone conversation he had with Agent Shultz, where she said it would be good to have a friend in the FBI. Red John has said himself he has a friend in the FBI so that may be it.
The other thing is his age.  RJ has to be older than Jane given the time the murders started and when it was said he was the friend of Dumar's father. Minelli looks to be right around the right age.
RJ has found it very easy to access CBI network servers.  As the boss and former boss, Minelli could very well still have access to do things like upload the vido of Agent Darcy.
Lastly is the easy way that he left CBI. This has left him plenty of time to do the things RJ does, whether that be murders or turning new followers.

I feel as though it must just be me who still slightly expects RJ to be JJ LaRouche. I know he is not on the list of seven suspects and I know Bruno Heller said RJ is one of the seven suspects, but i still hav this slight suspicion of JJ. The reason I slightly expect him to be RJ is because he is very shady. As we have seen in previous episodes, Patrick had a deal surrounding JJ's "secret". We later find out that secret has to do with JJ cutting out somebody's tongue. You have to be very sick minded to cut out somebody's tongue just to shut them up. Also, I feel like JJ has an act going on, like he's really more intelligent than he acts with Patrick. He also works within the CBI and is involved in various investigations. Although this theory doesnt make much sense considering he doesnt fit the description of RJ described by Rosalind. He could be an ally to RJ. W knows?
