LATEST THEORIES

This is not a theory, actually, it's kind of a hypothesis.
Ever since Bob Kirkland killed Jason Lennon, people have been speculating that he's the obvious choice for being Red John, But, Lennon has never met Kirkland before. This could rule him out, though some may claim Lennon's statement to be one of loyalty towards Red John.

My hypotesis : 

1. Kirkland is not Red John

2. Kirkland is looking for Red John himself, to kill him. This could be because (and this is a really ridiulous theory) Kirkland is a really good friend (or even relative) of Samuel Bosco or Carter/Janet Peak. Maybe he and Bosco were together in the police, or he and Peak were together in the armed services. Either way, he's looking for personal vengeance against Red John.


3. "He is Mar..." could be either Mashburn or Minelli (spelled wrong - even more ridiculous)

4. Grace Van Pelt could be revealed as a Red John accomplice. This is because she left for a "Computer hacker's course", two episodes before Red John killed Loreli Martins, and returns after. Maybe she captured Loreli and took him to Red John, Also, another theory is Red John reached out to her only after she felt betrayed, after killing Craig O'Laughlin.

5. I also believe that Jane has another list, in which he has shortlisted the actual suspects.


I know most of my theories sound stupid, but we have to look at even the most ridiculous angles, cos Bruno Heller had said that we would be very dissapointed once Red John is revealed.

I think max winter is red John.

Lorali stated that PJ and RJ are alike

Max winter is way too alike to PJ, he sits, acts, talks like PJ and he even wears a wedding ring but he's wife is dead like PJ
When we see red John with rosalind Parker we see how RJ sits, holding his cup of tea, like PJ and like Max Winter when PJ and he met for the first time.
Mac winter also gives PJ the gun that kills Timothy carter like he was planning to get Timothy carter killed so he wouldn't tell anyone about who red John is.

Jane is smarter than the seven on the list . and in redjohn rules when rj kill the happy memory of jane nobody on the list is smart enough to that .and in redmoon s3  e9 todd johnoson  was helping in the case and he was the serial killer and he refused to talk to anyone else and he want to talk to jane because he told lisbon that they have connection and i think the connection is that both are serial killers helping in their cases just to distract the cops . and jane maybe have Schizophrenia so he could have two personlties one is rj and the other is someone whose want to catch rj and kill him .

I huv reasons to say RJ and PJ is one person although Bruno Heller always 
 says isn't he ?1-I think Jane after death of his wife and daughter developed some sort of mental disease what we called shizophrenia. Huv two separate personalities kind one and violent one2-he hallucinated about his dead daughter its auditory hallucinations its positive symptomplus visual hallucinations 3-  the episode when agent darsi said to him an important question if ur an enemy of red john why he didnt kill you4-when agent darsi re opend old case panzer murder no body knows that except Wainwright so how red John know and send someone to follow her

Just found this site and I'm glad to see that Brett is everyone else's top suspect. He's the only recurring Character I have seen who truly matches the build and voice of Red John. Btw I didn't see the final four episodes of season 5 yet but I read on here that he narrows the list to 7 suspects. I've suspected Brett for a long time because Red John is a small, slender white guy with a nerdy voice just like Brett. Let's not also forget that he appeared in the very first episode which would make it fit perfectly. And as Jane said in the first episode "He urks me... He's urksome."

I do like this show but I will admit the writing is pretty annoying. They don't seem to like to give viewers hardly anything substantial about Red John so I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if his list of 7 turned out to be nothing and that Lorelei was just lying all along.

After Bertram finally beats Judge Manchester at poker, he says to Lisbon "I gutted him", which is how RJ kills his victims. Could be nothing, but could be a playful clue from the writers.
