LATEST THEORIES

I've been reading a lot of theories about Brett Partridge being Red John and faking his own death to remove himself from the list of seven suspects.

I think that logically it doesn't make sense, because firstly Lisbon heard a noise from outside the house for her to actually want to enter the house. There are no coincidences, so even the little noises are planned. So as partridge was bleeding when Lisbon got to him, wouldn't you think that there would be a trail of blood from the front door of the house and the cupboard in which he was residing? Or do you genuinely think that Partridge had enough time when Lisbon was searching for him in that house, to run back to the cupboard and then apply fake blood all over his body and possibly tie himself up? And to do this in perfect silence?

Secondly, I agree that the knife that RJ was holding in the final scene could be a knife that Partridge uses for his work and did anyone think to believe that his knife doesn't actually belong to RJ?

However, I believe that Patridge is an accomplice and maybe to remove himself from the list he asked RJ to do so, or RJ plans to eliminate them all. I think that All seven suspects are aware that they are on the list as most of them are probably accomplices of RJ.

One thing that confuses me is the list itself, because if Partridge is not actually RJ then Lisbon would have seen another person on the list at the house using the GPS tracking system, but none of them were, which therefore leads me to believe that Partidge is RJ himself or RJ is not one of the 7 on the list.

Please tell me what you guys think

I read an interview today with Bruno Heller who said a big clue was shown in the ending scene of the season premiere. I believe the clue he was referring to was the knife Red John was wiping the blood off of. That looks to be a scalpel that a medical examiner would use to cut open a body. Partridge is not dead. He faked it so when Lisbon wakes up the last thing she will remember is that Partridge died. It also looks like she had her legs swept out from under her not pulled down from behind. With the alias of Brett Partridge out of the way, Red John is more free to go about his killing spree.

As most people were, prior to the season premier I thought that the primary suspects to be RJ were BP and GB. While I wouldn't be totally surprised to learn that Partridge is in fact alive down the line, I would like to believe that RJ's identity wasn't revealed in episode one of the season. While suspecting Gale Bertram isn't anything out of the ordinary, what I'm about to say is. I believe PJ knew Lisbon would spill the beans about the list and in turn the entire team would find out. I think that Jane looked a bit to unsurprised and didn't act upset enough upon finding Lisbon had failed to keep her promise. While this may sound a bit outlandish, I have an odd feeling that Jane wanted the team to spill the beans in order to figure out which one of them is working with GB. I'm interested to see if anyone else feels similarly, but I really feel that between Rigsby, VP, and Cho, one of them is a lot more involved and sinister than we are aware.

The blade we see at the end of the s6e1 is soaked with blood. You see the blade horizontaly with a uniform layer of blood. RJ uses the blood from that blade to draw the smiley. He's clearly an artist but what strikes me is the shape of the blood. For it to be this way, RJ must have a bucket of blood of some kind. If it came from the body, it would not be uniform and strikes would be visible. If it came from the floor it would not be uniform on all the blade. What physic tell us is that this blood didn't came directly from the body. Also, Partridge body didn't seemed to be leaking much blood.

When Partridge fell on the floor, he still had much facial energy before and during the moment he spoke. As soon as he finishes/Lisbon attention turned to the noise, Partridge body went limp. If, for some reason, he was forced to say Tiger Tiger, he would have kept his energy after that... He just went motionless. What is the best thing to do to make sure the other person give full attention to the source of noise ? Disappear from the "important" list. Living human = need to be saved. Dead body = moving on.

24hours of work on the body in the desert, really ? Away from everywhere ? You need time to stage a kill. There's the mean for it. Add to it that in the next episode PJ says RJ killed quicker then usual. Well if he's dead, he's got lots of free time.

Forensic tech = best people to stage a death if the body are switched before the autopsy.

At first I though RJ was hiding behind Partridge in cupboard. But then I though, 1- Being in the dark, Lisbon eyesight had ajusted and unless he wore all black velvet, should would have see him. 2-RJ looked her outside through the window and then went with Partridge in the cupboard. Partridge would have seen him watch outside and keep quiet ? Doubtfull. 3-No blood was on the floor outside the cupboard which mean Partridge was waiting inside and RJ pushed him to go behind ? But left him alive and waiting like a big kid alone in the cupboard before that?

He collapse on the floor when the door opens. Ok why didn't he collapse on the floor inside the cupboard if he was in bad shape ? Why did he stayed on his feet alone, dying and waiting inside a cupboard without any ray of light(hope) ?

Lisbon is Red John. She is an excellent actor and has been manipulating Jane from before he even met her. She is completely in love with Jane and perhaps fell in love with him when she saw him on TV. She uses her position as Jane's closest friend to be close to Jane and strings him along, relishing the time they spend together. To her they are living a happy life together. She thinks that no one knows she is Red John, and Jane suspects her but is conflicted about it as his suspicion grows.

She has another accomplice or many in the CBI. Rigsby is likely one of them. Lisbon thinks that he doesn't know that she is Red John, but perhaps he suspects she is or even knows. Grace who may or may not  be a disciple of Red John, unaware that her coworkers are accomplices, will be Lisbon's trump card against Rigsby, who like Jane, might also be after her for his own reasons, maybe for revenge or to "become" Red John.

If Rigsby is an accomplice to Red John he will likely kill Cho. Jane will set a trap for Lisbon, but Rigsby or some other accomplice will mess it up. Jane will be "fatally wounded". Lisbon will confess her love to Jane and he will actually die but catch Red John by recording her confession or having it witnessed.
