LATEST THEORIES

After watching Red Sails in the Sunset I believe the following people could be RJ:

- Minelli: 10%
- Brett Partridge: 20%
- Walter Mashburn: 30%
- Max Winter: 40%

I gave Minelli and Brett lower % because Lorelei could have said "How come after years of working with him...still not longlife friends..."
Max Winter is the highest: His wife was murdered years ago (could have been RJ's trigger); he knew Jane's pain; he is rich and works in real estate. RJ's MO's (possibly) seeing life after the loss of the closest person to you. Tod Johnson told Jane he (i.e., Jane) should understand...etc.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask-why is Grace Van Pelt such a popular Red John theory?  I mean really, she's an even more absurd choice than Patrick Jane (and that's saying a lot!).  First of all, we have the incredibly overwhelming evidence that Red John is male.  Second of all, she is way, way too young to be Red John.  RJ began his killing spree in 1997.  So Van Pelt was a serial killer when she was 13 or 14 years old?!  And finally, we have several episodes of her getting emotional and/or breaking down in tears when only the TV audience can see her.  Does anyone really believe that the nearly all-powerful serial killer Red John would break down and cry after breaking up with Rigsby?  Or does she know a TV audience is watching her?  Really, how does anyone take this theory seriously?

According to me the characters who fit better RJ's personality are
-Stiles: maybe too obvious
-Mashburn: but I'm not sure he fits RJ's physically description
_Bertram: He was my first suspect, why did he quote the same Blake's poem of RJ? it can't be a coincidence. Being so self-confident and making the challenge more interesting is typical of RJ.

Before I saw Red Sails in the sunset I had thought that Mr. Volker could have been a suspect too. He's rich, powerful, very self confident. But Lorelai let me think that PJ knew RJ's alias since pretty log time.
So kirkland wouldn't be a suspect too. Anyway I think Volker will come back soon, He's a too mysterious characters to leave him to gather dust.

About the other suspects, they don't convince me too much, surely some of them are involved (I'm sure GVP is already to RJ's side, I mean there's some dark in her) but they can't be RJ

well, i think it can't be kirkland, when kirkland and jane shook hands, lorelei was in prison, probably unaware of the outside. 

but gale's picture on the wall with that weird zoom out effect while jane and kirk were shooking hands, that was a little bit creppy
but gale is taller than rj,


i believe that van pelt and stiles are also involved with red john, somehow. they also have that "red smooke" manipulation thing
i mean, it seems like they have been avoiding grace and wayne as a couple again, i don't know but she is the most likely for being in rj group, maybe the newest one...


not so sure about Partridge, jane doesn't like him, maybe he was the very first option for being rj, or maybe he still is, i don't know.

CBI Ron is also very suspicious and once i read about a theory with the name Ron, and some kind of anagrams, we know the bruno loves anagrams.
He has ben a Reccuring Extra Through all of 5 seasons, and there is this note i read in a site: 

He is always around when the team is working, and knows the ins and outs of the CBI.1) The RJ appareance. Red John is like Waldo, on background, as says Bruno Heller, and we have already seen him

it could be him! maybe, someone who is always around.

I believe Red John is Homeland Security Agent Kirkland. Please review the episode when they pass each other in the hallway at CBI headquarters and Agent Kirkland says "You don't know me, but I know you" AND they shook hands in the hallway.

If you watch the episodes "If it bleeds, it leads" and "Cherry Picked" again you will see the scene that I am referring to.

I honestly believe that Red John is not someone that anyone will expect. I think that if you expect a character to be RJ, that character will, if anything, be working for RJ.

Also, the theory that PJ is RJ is BS. I highly doubt that the writers would actually make that happen. It is, however, a possibility that, at some point, Red John makes Jane believe that PJ is RJ.

Also, the writers definitely know who RJ is. TV Shows are not written and filmed mid-season. Things are already set and done.
