Th

Why not investigating the case of Partridge? Because, there is a truth that can not put out there now.

Future.
Jane revenge.. It is not a crime to kill the dead men. Jane can move on.

Okay, not literally Patrick Jane... but the same photograph might work.

As far as I know, we don't really know much about PJ's childhood, except that he worked as carny with his domineering (some might say abusive) father, Alex.  Although Alex seemed to wear a wedding band, nothing was mentioned about PJ's mother or any possible other family members.

Now, this is a gigantic what-if, but what if, when Alex and his unnamed wife split, each took a child with them? Alex took Patrick... What if unnamed wife took Patrick's twin brother, who grew up to become Red John?

In so many ways, RJ is like PJ's evil mirror image.  What if that's true more than just metaphorically?  I know it doesn't fit neatly with the list and such, and many might argue that it would be like the writers were cheating if they pulled that trick.

But it would also explain an awful lot...

Imagine if someone very much like PJ used his skills for actual evil and control over people, not content with stopping (as PJ usually did) at mere graft and deceit.  There's a reason why so many people kept coming back to the idea that PJ himself might somehow be RJ: it's because PJ's personal traits and skill set are almost ideal for being RJ.

It would explain why PJ fits all the physical traits that have been hinted at about RJ.

It would explain why Simon Baker provides the voice and body-doubling for RJ, and RJ sounds very much like -- but not exactly like -- PJ.

It would explain (tongue-in-cheek) why so many RJ allies remark on how similar RJ and PJ are.

And here's the hair-raising part...

Bruno Heller has said that RJ has been around from the beginning, but that we don't see him all the time.  If RJ is PJ's twin brother, and especially if RJ also has allies/followers in law enforcement agencies including the CBI (and therefore could keep tabs on where PJ's location, assignments, etc.), he might actually be able to masquerade as PJ at times (to get into his office, or question a witness, or talk to a psychiatrist...).

It would open the door to the question:  Has every scene we've seen with Patrick Jane really been Patrick Jane?  Perhaps he's been able to hide in plain sight -- in part -- by using a tactic that twins have used to mess with family and friends since time immemorial.

Likely?  Maybe not.  But it would certainly put an unexpected twist on things...  :)

The more I ponder this, the more in sure BRETT PARTRIDGE is Red John.

Couple things.

1. Heller said IT WAS IMPORTANT for BP to die in the first episode. WHY ON EARTH would that be remotely important, unless it was to make everyone think he was dead when he wasn't. Again WE NEVER SAW A BODY!! Red John slits throats. BPs throat wasn't slit. Know why? He isn't dead.

2. Described RJ as a "where's Waldo" character. Someone that had been a background guy. This ELIMINATES Ray Haffner, Bret Stiles, and Gale Bertram. Maybe even Kirkland. In fact, probably Kirland.

3. Why would 2 major suspects/characters on a show have the same first name? You never see that!!! Oh I know. Brett with an extra "T" is a junior, as in BRET STILE'S SON. Remember Stiles telling Jane he knows more than Pj or RJ could ever know? Well that's because he used to change lil Brett's diapers when he was a baby. Stiles is 25 years older than Partridge. Having your dad as the head of Visualize would be an excellent way to have limitless resources huh??

4. Someone pointed out that the actor playing BP
said "no" when asked if his voice was ever used in RJ phone calls. Well I'm almost positive there's NO WAY HE COULD ANSWER THAT YES!! That might just give it away don't you think?

Lets examine what took place in the last episode of season 5. What happened there very much sets in motion what will happen in season 6, the last season. At the begining of the episode Jane tells Lisbon he's that close to having a breakthrough and that he has narrowed the list of suspects to 7. He has to sleep before telling her because he's tired. He says that he made a list of seven based on who could be at all the crime scenes. So at this last episode we have the murder of Jane's happy memory. Also at the end of the episode RJ anounces Jane's list before Jane can do it himself. The above 2 are the major reason why Lisbon and Jane are so freaked up! At episode 6x01 Jane says about RJ guessing his list that "it's a trick","what do you mean?", "I don't know" says Jane! OK I beleave that both the list and the happy memory are a trick by RJ. What do I mean:We all know by now that RJ has the resources to find out about the Jane's past. That is where he lived. So he can find many of the persons that lived where Jane lived in the past. So he can study the ages of those person then and now. Here RJ makes a safe guess. Not a lucky guess but a safe one. It's like cheeting realy. He chooses a baby girl from his past, finds her today and kills her. The baby girl from where Jane used to live is a given! She can't but be a good memory for Jane, (as it would be for every one of us!) So here RJ used one of the cheep tricks that Jane used to his victims as a con man. That is guessing the obvious and presenting it in a way that makes it big deal. There is no better way to make it big deal than murder! So the list. Where is RJ trick? Lets first examine the facts about the list. Lets say there is RJ's list and Jane's list and lets try to find a way to make the two lists to coinside.Stills, McAllister and Partridge are on the lists. Jane never shook hands with any of them. At least I never saw that. If you have please point me to the episode. So Jane didn't put them in his list because of what Martins said to him about the handshake. He could have picked them  because of what he says at begining of last episode of season 5. In the video we have: "Lorelay told me she told about the handsake" also "By now you must have norrowed your list to a number of seven". So both RJ and Jane have included in their lists persons he never shook hands with! Something is realy off here. So the only way RJ can guess Jane's list is by his smarts. He has to calculate what Jane will calculate. So Jane make a list of those that could be at all the crime scenes. How can he possibly do that, without even the help of his team or the CBI. We are talking about a huge amount of detail about the whereabout of tens of people! It's imposible. So I don't think that the lists where compiled by any of the ways that are sugesting in the show. My theory is that RJ made his list 2 months before (Lisbon says that) with 7 people that only he knows why. Jane on the other hand made his list the last days, that is long after RJ made his! So we don't realy have RJ  guessing Jane's list. We rather have Jane guessing RJ's list! What are the chances of that happening using logic and method? None. OK I'll tell you what I think happened here after a break...
Episode 1x1 the pilot. Jane is on a show. The host asks him about helping the police to find the serial murderer RJ using his psychic powers! There Jane insults RJ. Next thing, his family dead. Jane has a breakdown. When he comes back he is against psychics and he claims he once was con man and psychics don't exist. He claims to be solving cases only by skills and by studying the people. Episode 5x2 Jane under the effect of belladona is talking to his dead daughter. This is our only chanse to listen to his subconsious! So he's straped on a hospital bed and talks to his daughter by his side. They say a lot of beutifull things. Sudently out of nowhere she asks: "does anyone know who you are?" - "Yes" - "who?" - " -- " - "come on who?" Jane doesn't want to talk to her anymore he close his eyes and starts calling Lisbon to wake up. Who is Jane?!?! What! Is Jane RJ. Is that his secret? I don't think so. What is his secret? Jane constantly denies that he is psychic. That he has such powers and propably doesn't use them anymore. What do you think? It's a posibility. Else we have to find an other answer on the question "Does anyone know who you are?"
back to the lists...
So RJ plays an other trick here. A good one this time. He makes a list of seven. He knows Jane shook hands with many. He can't norrow the list enough. He will get desperate and use his powers to guess the list RJ made! Jane will freak out when he watches the video!
This is the only explanation that I can give to the guessing of the list right now! Jane guessed the list, not RJ.

Not really much of a theory, but I've been thinking.

Even though I hope this isn't the case, it might be possible that red john is a psychic.

'He is mar' could be 'He is magic' as well. It could be an unfinished G. If not, it probably is 'he is many', because I don't see how the handwriting would indicate a proper R or a D, in 'he is married' or 'he is mad'.

Just chose Haffner because I like him for being red john, although I think the evidence we have is way too ambiguous for me to be sure it's him or not.

In the 'Red John' Episode 8 the only two guest characters are Reede Smith and Gale
Bertram. So either they decided not to include the real Red John in the guest characters or it has to be one of them.
