So we know a few things about Red John.
1) According to one thing I read, it won't be until November 24th that we actually know the name of the real RJ.
2) RJ was "young" back in 1988.
3) He at least had a full head of hair.
4) He's 5'11"
5) Muscular build.
6) Left Handed
7) Afraid of something
8) Fans will be disappointed by who he is.
9) Can whistle.
So here is why I think it is McCalister:
1) His character's stated age is younger than the actor who plays him which I find odd. He is listed as being born in 62 or 63. That would make him 25 or 26 in 1988 ... young enough to be the guy.
2) Right height, build, handedness, whistler.
3) He was introduced the earliest of all of the suspects on the list (season 1, ep 2). Given that RJ was the focus from early on (at least PJ's motivation), it seems likely he would be a character since early on.
4) Only one of the suspects who seems to surprise PJ.
5) Straight hair even if it has thinned out lately.
I had previously thought it might be Smith, but McAllister makes more sense.
I was told to be more precise.. So here ya go.
In the therapists voice recording she said red john had acrophobia.. But the tape faded a little.
That would be the only reason they showed haffner was afraid of spiders. Acrophobia - arachnophobia. And he touched janes shoulder in the hotel. With all of the other haffner clues previously stated by your guys awesome clues, that has to tell you guys, and definitely me, that this was the one clue that everyone simply overlooked tonight. It meant something... I think we found out tonight the biggest most missed clue!
Only one thing is obvious, PJ is throwing a diversion with the seven. He's never that direct. And he wouldn't trust the team with this kind of info. The only time PJ acts the way he has of late is when he's orchestrating a rouse. Just think back to the character of PJ. Over the life of the show. So... What can we conclude? RJ is not on the list.
Ultimately, I think this will prove much more satisfying.
I think we got the best clue ever and everyone is looking over it saying why... Ray haffner, scared of spiders. They left a clue a couple episodes back In the tape recording of the therapist and red john. "He has a phobia"... Arachnophobia... And with all the other clues pushed in, we now know that is the best clue that no one knew about... Let the chatter begin...
What if none of Jane's suspects are Red John? Red John knew the list before Jane, and therefore figured out how Jane got to that list and could've planned it all from the beginning. He could've purposely made Jane make a list of people who could be Red John, but really isn't. If he wanted the people on the list killed, he got a target on their backs....without getting directly involved and in the promo for the next episode it shows Jane threatening to shoot all the suspects.......though that's probably not gonna happen....but that doesn't mean one of the suspects he gathered in the room is Red John.
Oh forgot to add Kirkland was number six and got shot 6 times, there are no coincidences. oooh 666 was on the wall is that just a general representation of the devil or a clue.
are the three dots of the tattoo a number representing members. Red John being three or three making up red john.
These are just a few thoughts.
