I don't know why but the two cups of coffee stuck out to me in this episode - smith with the cream and sugar and haffner with the black coffee. probably nothing but it made me think of kirkland offering both those types of coffee

not a theory i just
wanted to point out two very common
over interpretations:
Bob
Kirklands twin:
Every theory i've read so far assumes as a
matter of fact that Michael Kirkland is Robert Kirklands identical
twin. As far as i know that has
never been explicitly
stated, therefore any male in the same age range could be Michael
Kirkland.
If you think about it Ray Haffner would fit the
description. He joined Visualize because of a "difficult
childhood", Michael Kirkland suffered under an alcoholic father,
Ray Haffner is attracted to Teresa Lisbon, herself a daughter of an
alcoholic.
The List of 7:
This could be a field day for
anyone rooting for a suspect not on the list. The idea that PJ is so
forthcoming with his list has lead people to distrust it and argue
for it to be. The idea that PJ is actually
working on RJ's list has been floated.
However there is the
following interview quote by Heller:
"Interviewer:
After all that craftiness
on Patrick Jane’s part, Red John is still a step ahead of him. So
can we really trust that the list is accurate if Red John is so
willing to confirm it?
Bruno Heller:
Yes, we can trust that list. As much as much as Red John has been one
step ahead, Lorelei Martins’ intervention changed the game. So as
much as Red John is trying to play from a position of strength in
reality Jane has gotten a lot closer. This last episode of the season
really sets us up for next season: The hunt is on, no messing
about."
The underlying assumption of
the question is that RJ has confirmed PJ's
list.
Look at how Heller
answers the question of the reporter. He doesn't tell us we can trust
"the
list",
but he tells us we can trust that
list.
Now here's the catch PJ never stated that RJ's list
matched up with his own, nor did we ever see his list. He just acts
devastated and sad. The only name he ever disclosed of
his list was Gale Bertram.
When the
video tells Jane to take out his list of suspects he instead hands
Lisbon 7 pictures. The pictures match the suspects and even the names
below the picture match up
100%. Also notice that in the beginning of 5.22 Jane burns something
in that bucket
that produces a weird green flame and that
the bulletin board is wiped. There
was an identical bulletin board on the cbs homepage showing the last
30 suspects.
So to sum up the whole
thing:
Heller confirmed we can trust Janes list, which we have
never seen, but he didn't confirm that we can trust the video, that we
have seen.
When the producers of the Mentalist met, I'm sure there were worries about unveiling Partridge, this nerdy figure we think is a huge creep, as Redjohn.
I'm sure they asked "How do we make RJ a lot cooler than Partridge?"
This was the answer:
"Stick him in a SWAT suit for the big reveal. Everyone looks cool in SWAT uniform."
I am trying to think outside the box here people, so listen me out.
I hate reading those theories about "I actually think RJ isn't a person, but a number of people, blah blah."
But I had a breakthrough that explains almost everything: Reede Smith AND Brett Partridge are/were Red John!
Before you dismiss this, think about it! Who is the least suspected of the 7 suspect on the list? It's Smith. And who is the most suspected? Mr. Partridge!
Let me explain... I think, Smith and Partridge were working together as Red John. Smith was killing people (so he is the real Red John we're looking for) and Partridge was doing all the other things (calling Patrick, breaking in the CBI computer, visiting Sophie Miller). They kinda needed each other, because they complement each other perfectly!
A lot of us has been asking ourselves: "How did Red John suddendly become so sloppy?" I have also seen a lot of theories "RJ wouldn't hire an amater to bug the office."
Think about it. Before, there were two. Partridge was doing all the little things, but Patrick started suspecting him a little more. Maybe Smith got scared Partridge would say too much if Jane gets him alone, so he killed him. Why is his death important at the start of the series, like Heller suggests? Because, RJ no longer has a partner who would do the little things for him. He now has to do both, the killing and figure out what Patrick is planning. Before, it was Partridge who gathered information about Jane and Smith knew everything before it happened. Heller said we would be dissapointed, when we figure out how RJ was always a step ahed of Jane. This is significant, because not Jane has the leverage. And I truly believe he killed that girl in last week's episode.
That' why RJ has become so sloppy recently! He doesn't have the "brains", because he killed Partridge.
Also, Smith was clearly the superior in that meeting at the start of the season, when he was almost giving orders to Bertram. He is afraid of heights, that's clear to everyone. And he has a bad temper. Jane family got killed, because Jane said something bad about RJ on TV and within seconds, RJ raged, drove himself to their house and killed his family. I think he has grown as a character now and has become more calculative and isn't letting his emotions getting the best of him.
Also, he isn't thrown at us all the time, so that means something. I just can't figure out the connection to Visualize yet. If you know something that connects Smith to the cult, comment.
So.. i guess this website will be pointless two weeks from now, right? -_- (Cho's Face).
Suits the age, Has been there from the beginning. Still has good connections. In S02 changed the case from Lisbon's team to Bosco's team.
Red John has been spying on the team from the first season, why would he suddenly feel the need to bug the office for information? There's no concrete data to support the idea that it was Red John who tried to bug the office and killed Kira, nothing but Jane's hunch, who's been unaware of the existence of the tyger organization. What if it was the tygers who tried to bug the office and Patrick got it all wrong? After all Bertram and Smith were the ones who were desperate to know what Patrick has been doing lately. Red John had no reason to bug the office at this point. The next episode is called the great red dragon, I assume Patrick's gonna learn about the tygers, figure out it was one of them who killed Kira and tried to bug the office. And from there he'll figure out who the real Red John is, Haffner.
Even if it was Red John who killed Kira, it's still possible he set a trap to trick Patrick into believing it's one of the tygers who are on the list. Give the guy some credit, Red Jon is not that stupid to leave a witness half-dead.
I'm extremely angry and disappointed right now. Neither one of these supposedly three remaining suspects deserve to be Red John. Reede Smith?! seriously?!
