Although it would be interesting if red John is someone in the unit is part of his group I hope not although I'm sure one of them will be revealed as a red John crony I think it is possible that red John died and reached out from the grave to deny Jane the peace of being without his presence in the world by giving everyone in his group to keep his memory alive with instructions or found an heir, although he would be as good as red John
Wayne- smiles way too much for nothing and in a previous episode was found to be easily hypnotised so easy to become a follower
Cho- he avoids all conflicts much like boscos assistant would, he also has many hidden and mysterious abilities
Van pelt- she was a newbie in the first episode and in a season five episode she wasn't yet hired it is possible that she was already a part of red John and when Jane joined CBI red John chose van pelt to join the team most likely having more than just one of his group applying for the job

I think it is a cat, because it lies alot and can catch alot of mice, which can later be traded for gold and used to kill people. Also cats are kinda smart compared to other animals. It would be a real twist of plot if they became friends at the end.

It has to be...

When Jane shot "Redjohn(rj)", he was reading a newspaper. The same newspaper was read by Bertram the same day. Coincidence?

He matches RJ'S description perfectly.

He's in a high position, and we don't know anything about his past.

first of all, I remember the time when I was watching lost, after couple of episodes I got into it deeply but I said to myself " god, I hope they don't drop all dead like a cheap copy of 6th sense" eventually happened. On this I am not sure yet. I believe it's gonna be some1 suprising cuz if u paid attention it's been 5 seasons and yet u don't see personal life in enough details. I am starting to get suspicus about an alter ego that they are the same person ( fight club stuff :D )
mostly all u see is a start with a victim, then police interrogating without enough evidance then our hero makes some funny and cleaver conversations and tricks, traps etc. and ending with a confession. but in 45mins u see 2-3 minutes of personal life.

and umm there are some details that I really don't like in serie that I wanted to share:

* Medium girl, she said she was dead :D is she ? I believe everyone wonders that.
* Hightower was framed, she's saved and cleaned, why didn't see return back to her job ? isn't that awkward ? instead a 25 years old guy took control of CBI and then died in few seasons ? and not even replaced yet
* Cho was dating with a korean girl, suddenly she's dissapered from serie and he started to date with the blonde slut.
* Patrick character is inspired by Grigori Rasputin a little, very convincing and all those hypnoses etc, even a police unit can't solve any cases without him ? that's kinda odd, if he's that cleaver why can't he just get this john red guy ? then it wouldn't be a serie huh ? :D
* every episode name is obsessed with RED episode name, but yet the main object is very limited, u don't actually have enough exciting red john episodes... on an episode ending u get some clues about red john, and couple of full episodes on mid-season or season finals... u get this feeling "ohh man next week it's gonna be awesome I can't miss" then it continues irrelevant and it's disappointing. it's kinda repeating itself, for 5 seasons same opening a victim got killed by a gun or hard object to head. as of yesterday it's been 95 episodes and 80 are same, same tricks etc it's kinda getting boring but yet there are still awesome funny dialogues and stuff that I find very original and creative.
* if u ever watched "24" Jack Bauer character saved the world thousands of times, stops all terrorist attacks saved presidents yet he had to came out from setups and had to prove his innocence for 8 seasons :D u get what mean ? this serie is going what way...

I'll throw this out there, agent Stephen Hannigan.  He was in the flashback episode "Red Dawn"  He got out of the unit real quit after Jane came aboard. He liked torturing Jane enough to make him sick at the crime scene.  He
punched him in the face. He made it way too obvious that he didn't like
him. One issue to get around is that you don't actually 'see' them shake hands.  I don't see a purpose to introducing this character in a flashback.  Unless, it is to throw him in there quickly, so when it is revealed(if it is ever revealed), it is a character that has been on the show and he was forgotten about.
