I think it is obvious that red john is not on the list. I mean every episode Jane is ahead of us performing some kind of trick. the capture of Red john will be no different. Yes, bruno helller said we could trust the list but he didn't specify what list or say that there was only 1 list. I definitely think the explosion is a trick. its possible that jane believes red john will try to kill hem off because they are on his(rj) list. Therefore, jane is faking their deaths to protect them.
Not a theory, just a question. I've been reading a lot of posts saying that we will be seeing flashbacks in the next two episodes but I can't find any links about this. Where is everyone reading this? Also seen some talking about a promo with a young boy in one of these flashbacks but I can't find it either.
Reasons for "Michael" Kirkland, Bob's twin brother.
1.) Loreli said, "I wonder why the two of you didn't become lifelong friends the moment you shook hands." To me this implies they shook hands a long time ago, i.e. probably while Patrick was still at the carnival.
2.) Bob/Michael Kirkland told Lisbon while drinking coffee, "We moved around a lot, for my dad's work and then mom's. I like to say we grew up in America." What profession makes you move around a lot? Working at the carnival!!! I think "Michael" Kirkland shook Patrick's hand way back when they were kids at the carnival together.
3.) While drinking coffee with Lisbon, Kirkland calls Lisbon "Teresa" just as Red John says to Jane, "Sorry Patrick. Teresa can't come to the phone right now."
4.) In episode 5-18, Kirkland asks Lennon "Do you recognize me? This is very important." Why would this be Bob's only question to Lennon if he were searching for his brother? All that torturing and interrogating of the fake suspects on Jane's list, he was tenacious and thorough. If Bob Kirkland was interrogating Lennon, this would NOT be his only question. "Michael" on the other hand would only ask this one question if he were Red John and wanted to be sure Lennon did not recognize him.
5.) Just after killing Lennon, "Michael" Kirkland refers to Jane as Patrick. "Patrick. It's terrible. His heart just gave out..." Red John ALWAYS calls Jane by his first name, Patrick.
6.) None of the other suspects refer to both Lisbon AND Jane by their first names. "Michael" Kirkland is the only one who does.
7.) When Loreli is reading off Jane's suspects in Red John's video, the ONLY person she refers to by an informal nickname is "Bob" Kirkland. Everyone else is referred to by their full, formal names. Who would call Robert Kirkland, Bob? His brother, Michael! :)
I have watched in the past month all 122 episodes, which makes me a serious Mentaddict. =)

-Spoiler for those who did not watched "Fire and Brimstone"-
At the end of the episode the 5 remaining suspects are separated into two groups. Those who have the tattoo(3) and those who do not(2).
Episode 123 is called "The Great Red Dragon" where the law enforcement mafia will be revealed. Then the three tattooed suspects will be discarted.
Episode 124, "Red John" one of the remaining two will be revealed as the serial killer.

Ok, I believe that is the storyline of the series. Bret Stiles will be revealed as Red John "the mind" and Michael Kirkland "the body".
My guess: The law enforcement mafia has used Red John as a cover up for commiting crimes. The day Red John saves Patrick revealing the tyger tyger poem, he needs Jane´s help. Red John feeds him to help him uncover the mafia who are using his signature to commit crimes. Being Brett Partridge the ideal member to cover up the leads. Red John kills him first as a call to the mafia "I know who you are and I am after you". Reason why they really need to find him first. They need to shut him up before Red John reveals not all the murders where commited by himself nor his accomplice. Red John loves Patrick as a father-son love. He killed his wife and daughter not to punish him but to convert him into a killer, which he already has by killing Red John´s bait.
Michael Kirkland "the body" is Red John, or if you want to see it in another way, he is Red John´s main assasin. He fits in size and description to most leads given. Bret Stiles "the mind" is Red John. He fits all the cleverness to be always ahead of Patrick.
Well, in two week we will see, until then... =)
It should be Bret or Brett, who is Brett's fatter and found people for him through visualize to do several acts for the sect, and as Bret is the "father" of the whole organization, he doesn't need a tattoo. Even better, as he knew that these 3 had this tattoo, he painted a fake one for Heller to see to frame one of the 3 that had the tattoo. The thing that confirms this is that she said they were vertical, and these were horizontal. The tattoo is for people who join the sect. Gale, Thomas and Reede are just part of the people of the whole grid. Hell, even Teresa could be in

Twin brother.
There was a scene showing them shaking hands and was kind of out of place. When red john is revealed as Bob Kirkland or Michael Kirkland (the twin) this scene will be played as a flashback where Kirkland said "but I know a lot about you" or some weird shit like that.
