LATEST THEORIES

Just realized something. We've discussed previously the 'pigeon clues' that appear in Episodes 1-3 of this Season.
1: in the house
2: in the park
3: in the bell tower

(For whatever it's worth, there are also birds chirping in E03 when McAllister doesn't want to look at the view or go up the ladder.)

But then in Episodes 4-6, we have had coffee clues.
4: in the park (Kirkland & Smith)
5: in the park (Cho & PI)
6: Smith (garage) & Haffner (cafe)

I'm assuming these are bread crumbs from the writers to the fans, but I can't figure out what they mean. My best guess is that they're tied to RJ, some pigeon connection & also the way he likes his coffee.

Thoughts?

Guys it physically can't be Bertram!  How are people still on this?  He is 6ft 3 and bald which flies in the face of Rosalind's description.  "Under six feet.  Short, straight hair."  Jane COMPLETELY believes that Rosalind's Roy is Red John.  He even took her to the morgue in season 4 to confirm the man he shot in the cafe WASN'T Red John.  Ere go, he trusts her account of Roy as if it were gospel.  Could Bertram wear a wig?  Perhaps but unlikely.  However what is far more unlikely is that he can't cut 4 inches off of his height when he's with Rosalind.  Plus Bertram is a public official who spends waaaayyy too much time in front of the camera.  He would have been easily noticed by Sophie Miller who would in turn probably ask what Jane's boss is doing here.  She would've known right away something was up.  Plus the director of the CBI probably has zero time to go around killing people.  That kind of job requires far too much time at the office and in front of the camera.  A Sheriff of one county is a well-respected official with many friends and quite a bit more freedom to go where he pleases.

Sheriff Mcallister is both marked and a marshall (the whole he is mar thing), fits the height, fits the build "not thin, but not muscular", he loves to hunt/kill as he informed to Jane.  Tom asks Patrick to call him "Tom" because he wants to build a relationship with Patrick, wants to befriend him, as we've seen Red John do with sending him Lorelei  "He's offering the hand of friendship".  In regards to his hair, he had much more 6 years ago when he was cast so Rosalind would have called it "short and straight".

On a side note, some people mention that we never see them physically shake hands... but we do.  In they're very first scene together, they play rock paper scissors, within which you "shake" hands multiple times... :)

Jane: What do you hung?
Tom:  Anything with a face...

He ate Jane and regurgitated him out as Red John but with the mind of Wagner(because Jane caught him in the pilot)

It's not Micheal Kirkland guys....It's Bob!

Here's why

Heller as a personality going by his interviews wants to be the brilliant one here, for that he needs to deceive us and not let us say...Hey we saw that coming or Hey! that was impossible man!

If he brings back Partridge from the dead, fans will say it was trying too hard for a twist and most would have guessed.
If it is one of the remaining 5 it is too obvious.
What is a way of having a brilliant twist without doing any spooky or impossible stuff?

Get the twin angle in. Make us believe that it is Micheal Kirkland who is or involved with Red John, kill bob so all fingers will point at Micheal.

Now if Micheal was the one that was killed by Reede Smith and Bob is still alive, then it would not be spooky like coming back from the dead, because the twin angle is logical and we would still be thinking about Micheal so it would not be obvious.

Bob Kirkland meets all descriptions, all teases from the show producers apart from one, that is when they said 'Red John was there from the beginning' which is a very loose ended statement.

Might be wrong but finally thought of something so sharing. What do you think?

Great theories I must say, I think Bruno Heller might get a lot of script ideas from here.

I think it's Bob Kirkland and not Micheal Kirkland.

From the News article they released we know that it is one of the suspects. Partridge as the producers confirmed he is dead. Now Heller in an interview mocked lost saying it had lose ends, he would not lie about partridge when he makes bold statements like that, which will show him in bad light.

We know Heller will pull a quick one on us. To do that he needs a double twist.
He led us to believe that Bob was a good guy and Micheal to have gone wrong.
Then He killed Bob Kirkland.

I however think that Bob Kirkland is Red John, who sent Micheal to die as bait thus leading us to believe that Micheal might be the baddie, Red John.

Also if you notice when Reede Smith takes Bob/Micheal into the woods to shoot him, he looks surprised, something is off there for sure.

The important thing to notice is that Red John can't be wither Bertram, McAllister or Reede Smith because in the next episode Great Red Dragon, when they Round up Tyger Tyger group, Patrick says "He is one of them" but he already knows that Bertram, McAllister adn Reede Smith are part of Tyger Tyger, then why say he is one of them. So RJ will be concealed with the Tyger Tyger group, and will be revealed in episode 8.

So Bob Kirkland and not Micheal is Red John.

Theory #9980 • By pedro :D
Show this theory

let's begin, the girl said to Cho that someone of Visualize hired her, and in the end of the episode she said to Jane about the 3 dots, none of the three (Bertram, McAllister and Smith) are from Visualize, so I think Haffner masked the tatto
