In my mind there is no doubt that Partridge is RJ, What is kind of strange though is that IMDB has confirmed Plotnick for the red john episode.

What I wonder about is how they are gonna solve the finale showdown between RJ and PJ. Throughout the show we've learned that Patrick is the smarts and brightest, and every episode ends with a twist made by himself. I can't see RJ deserving any less. Therefore I Think PJ has known RJs identity a while now, and is just playing him. I Don't know about you but i found that whole scene at his house last episode to be very theatrical, just like he's normal cons, especially with the handgun in the back pocket. For me it won't be enough that PJ drifts upon Partridge in the "pirlesque" park randomly and kills him, I want to know that PJ outsmarted him, and then humiliates RJ in the form of a long con.

My theory is that PJ has known RJs identity from the very beginning of the show, or from season 6ep2 when he saw the woman in the park. I do not think PJ will learn RJs identity in the last episode, would be so inconsistent with the rest of the show. If the spoiler interview is real, we know that RJ wants a relationship with patrick so much that he puts his life in jeopardy, I guess thats the reason he was sitting in the park to begin with, and i think that the bracelet was a mistake on his part. Think the last few minutes between RJ and PJ is going to be satisfying, and I actually think there will be a Sherlock moment (movies) where PJ tells about all the real clues he has picked up over the years, like the bracelet, that he hasn't told anyone about, but we will se them in a flashback cause they were there all the time.

I said that PJ might have known RJs identity since the begging of the show and that would be the coolest, but i can't see how that would explain any of his actions these last 6 years. why fake the meltdown if he knew, and why kill T. Carter? Only reason i can see that would explain this is that PJ needed some sort of dirt on RJ. But then again why move now, what did he learn these last few episodes that made it ok to strike now. Again in sherlock (spoiler!!) Sherlock waits till he has Moriartys blacklist which the audience didn't know existed, maybe PJ wants something like that.
My other theory is that PJ learned RJs identity in the park, when he was dressed as a woman. That would mean that every moment from thereon out is a play. That would explain his lack of interest in the rest of the suspects the next couple of episodes. He gave Partridge that whole "you really don't know?" but nothing for the others hmm.

I own all the Mentalist seasons on dvd and have watched all the episodes multiple times and I thought from the very first episode that Partridge was Red John and I was positive it was him when he made the list of 7.  I would have been a great reveal but they killed him off first to show all us hardcore fans that we weren't so clever and to say hey anything can happen and now Red John could be anybody. Any time they don't show the dead body and confirm the death there is the possibility for a shocking return but is anybody gonna be suprised if it is him? or Kirkland's twin? or for that matter anybody on the list ?  If it is there has gotta be some crazy back story or motive to make it interesting.  Who is gonna have the most dramatic impact  as a Red John reveal?    and please stop making presictions on what Heller says in an interview or the description a blind girl gives or IMDB credits it's all one big red herring. It's gotta be something no one sees comming.  PS  Reed isn't too fat and Stiles isn't too old to be Red John         fuck I hope this doesn't fuckin suck          I'm gonna rec episode 7 next week and wait till episode 8 airs to watch them back to back like a movie. it's gonna kill me to wait two weeks but I can't wait to geek out on the mentalist

One must not forget that Red John knows that Patrick has a list of 7 suspects and will try his best to narrow it down to him. Therefore, the best move for RJ would be to get the person who is him struck off the list asap so that Patrick beats around the bush with the remaining suspects. This will allow RJ to continue with his work and keep Patrick confused!

Jesus Testifies about John

14"And if you are willing to accept it, John himself is Elijah who was to come. 15"He who has ears to hear, let him hear. 16"But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the market places, who call out to the others.

So, he who has ears to hear, let him hear.

My Guess: Were the writers so perverse from the very beginning? Even Jesus testifies about John... hahaha... this is so wicked mad! =)
