How do you people know episode 8 is the end of red john??? the title colour change doesn't necessarily mean that!!
I know people are sick of the twin theory, but if many of
you believe Brett Partridge is still alive, then why is this so far-fetched? Please
read before you judge:
The major issue that I am having with the remaining suspects
is that it does not explain why Bob Kirkland would have killed Jason Lennon
without trying to get any information and in such a humane way. If Bob was
willing to torture and kill people on Jane’s fake list, then why would he be a “friend”
to Lennon by killing him so gently? Some people have brought up the idea that
it could have been Michael that killed Lennon, which would make the sudden
shift seem more plausible. Anyway, something is up with that situation, but
maybe it’s a flaw in the story line? Nonetheless, it is perplexing.
Furthermore, Jane is the only person that knows Michael
Kirkland is Bob’s twin. He never brings up what he knows to anyone on the team
again. The absence of that conversation brings up a big red flag, no pun
intended. Also, his CBI colleagues investigate Bob’s death, but never bother
look into who Michael Kirkland is. I think that is an important clue Jane has
been holding back from the team.
Additionally, it makes further sense because he calls the
remaining suspects to his home, and plays up the idea of the tattoo. If he
believed the tattoo was that important, then wouldn't he have kept that to
himself at risk of allowing Red John to get wind of it? Jane’s knowledge of the
tattoo was intended to get back to Red John. Also, Red John easily would have
been able to figure out that Jane was organizing this rendezvous with the remaining
people on the list.
Folks, let’s face it, the sheer enjoyment of seeing this meeting
unfold would have been too much for Red John to miss. He would have been there with
bells on and relished every minute of it, because it would prove he is and will
always be superior to Jane. Also, Jane put on quite a performance, perhaps the
best of his life because he knew Red John was watching. It seems obvious that
the meeting is a baited trap to catch the real Red John.
Perhaps Red John
planned the explosion as an escape route to get out of a place that would very
likely be crawling with cops. Also, Red John would know that Jane would want a
showdown at the same place where their beef all started. So that is how he would have known the meeting place ahead of time.
Finally, many people have brought up the idea of symmetry,
and how it could be related to a twin, which is certainly valid. I just cannot see it being any of the
others. Also, Bret Stiles seemed to laugh in disbelief when confronted with the
notion that Red John was one of the five, which was very interesting.
For those of us who fancy Haffner as Red John: some extra thoughts about his first appearance (S04E02).
After Jane met his new partner with a firm handshake and a shouldertab, he went to Lisbon's house and asks her what she knows about Ray Haffner. She says that he's hard and by the book, but also that he was in the FBI before and well known for resolving high profile cases by wiretapping and surveliance. Two points where RJ scores well. Even 'by the book' could be interesting if we translate it to 'principal', which we also believe RJ to be. But keep the wiretapping in mind!
Still vague. Further on in the same episode it gets more interesting.
When Lisbon is home alone and thinking about Jane, who told her Timothy Carter wasn't Red John after all, she calls JJ LaRoche because she wants to talk to miss Carter, who is in prison.
Next scene: Van Pelt, just back on board, wants to talk to her new boss, Haffner, about money linked to the murder of a gymcoach. Although she's just doing her job, Ray isn't interested at all and claimes he has no time for this. He looks hasty and worried.
When lisbon arrives at miss Carters' cell (together with LaRoche), the lady is dead. A staged suicide with a fake letter in which she acknowledges her killed husband as Red John. Jane arrives a litte later and he can obviously see it's corrupted.
How could Red John be one step ahead? Because he wiretaps LaRoche's office. Who's good at it and was in a troubled hurry right after Lisbons made the call to LaRoche? Right, Haffner (who might know Smith well since he was FBI before).
So, it's maybe not a coïncidence that just after the fake RJ was shot by Jane, the real RJ appears on stage AND tries to work together with Jane. He felt finally safe to reach out to his old friend in person - untill Lisbon tries to dig up the whole Carter affair again. So he acted fast as light and wrote a fake letter to fortify the story that RJ is dead.
Brett Patridge was killed because Red John wanted to keep Jane busy by showing him a corrupt organization (Tyger Tyger) or maybe trying to imply RJ was member of that organization, that's why Red John let Teresa alive, he wanted her to "send a message" to Jane, the message was what Patridge said before he died(?) (Tyger Tyger), now with the detective death and the tattoo is the same thing: he is trying to confuse Patrick.
A few observations about the Fire and Brimstone tattoo reveal scene:
Watch it again and keep your eyes on McAllister the whole time. You'll notice he's very controlled. Keeps his arms crossed when PJ says 'one of you is RJ' (after covering his face with his hands...to smile, perhaps?). ALSO has same stance when PJ says one has a tattoo, no change of countenance, and he KNOWS he has the tattoo. So, same face with both accusations.
When Haffner stands and PJ gets his gun, McAllister is motioning with his hands very calmly. He then tries to calm "Patrick" down with words.
Some have said RJ wouldn't deny being who he is, but wouldn't you deny it to keep the game going? If he's found out right there, PJ kills him, game over. Also seems to me the writer would WANT the most dramatic tattoo reveal to be the real RJ.
Notice how Haffner and McAllister share a knowing glance as they're removing their shirts. As do the 3. Stiles protects McAllister from being shot by PJ.
But perhaps the most telling thing to me is McAllister's body language as he stands up and looks at Smith. The camera angle shows just enough of his face where you can see him smiling behind Patrick's back. Then he walks to Bertram and gives him a knowing glance. Do the others with the tattoo know RJ's identity? I don't know.
Bertram certainly keeps someone updated (Strawberries & Cream and
F&B phone calls to reveal PJ's plans). If they don't know, RJ has protected his identity by making them all have the same tattoo as him.
Others have said this and I agree: the bomb is probably hidden in McAllister's hat. He still had most of his sheriff gear on and could have hidden a detonation device in it. I saw no other suspect with any other belongings brought into the house. Plus, he could have another type of weapon on his uniform that might go unnoticed.
Thoughts?
is red john killed in episode 8 like some guy on here said?????? i blumin hope not!!!!
Author Ken Woodruff don't
exclude non of these 5 suspects.
hypothesis
1
RJ kills Partridge, posing as a Tyger and leaves him alive so
that it says the words .
RJ hired Kira Tinsley, saying that
he's aVisualize member, and sends in her clumsy mission, then makes
her murdered by a Tyger minor member, in some way, but it makes sure
it stays dying and send Jane out of the way, or do you see in the gym
with a fake tattoo, of temporary ones.
Jane tip so the three
Tyger, pretends to have taken the bait, maybe put the bomb; he used
to shoot blanks, perhaps against McAllister . In this way does come
out RJ, which could be Haffner .
hypothesis 2
RJ takes Kira
to a task, that Jane finds easily.
RJ kills her, in a hurry, let
her live, he also caught with the tattoo, goes out again to the risk
of being killed along with the other two.
What is more
believable as a hypothesis ?
Then, maybe it's 2 with McAllister or
Bertram, but the first seems “more RJ”. He had already to suffer
the handshake revelation and the list, is just stupid if he do it, he
could shoot a blow dry or use the taser with detective.
1 )
leaves alive Renfrew that write He is Mar - ked, before die
2 )
says the poem Tyger Tyger
3 ) leaves alive Johnson that says Tyger
Tyger
then there's Carter, fake RJ
4 ) leaves half alive
Partridge Tyger Tyger
5 ) leaves alive detective that sees the
tattoo of Tygers
RJ seems to have become a dumb, how many
leaves clues? Before, he left only DNA on the Peak's body and then
the handshake, with Lorelei, suddenly becomes naive? seems to want to
fit the Tygers and in particular to present at the mall, Bertram.
In
addition, Baker, he replied that he is not saying that it is all
true, but it's really smart, when a fan asked in a videochat on TV,
if Haffner and Stiles are RJ and others only Tygers corrupts.
The
actor who plays RJ, told TV Guide that thought, “truth to be told”,
to be a red herring.
Diamond in two interviews and one tweet using
that same expression, quite rare, the others 6 actor don't use its.
The clues are many, the red
herrings are many, but: is Ray Haffner Red John?
