I never thought about this detail and still hope RJ to be Partridge or Kirkland, or anyone else that will surprise us, but...

Did anyone else notice that McAllister showing up to save PJ in that roof was like "McAllister was able to save PJ because HE WAS ONE STEP AHEAD"? Like RJ is always...

I cannot get over this scene , look how everybody is clearly surprised , worried , everyone exept for bertram and stiles , stiles knows RJ i believe , bertram... bertram is just there , owning the room , when the scene goes foward there's a glow in his eyes, he's not my favorite suspect to be RJ but i cant get over this

I think the true identity of Red John is either Teresa Lisbon or Patrick Jane himself, failing this I think it's Bertram. Red John has always been one step ahead which is why I think it's got to be someone who's working in Lisbon's Team/office. We know the finale is going to take us all by surprise which means to me that it's not going to be one of the likely suspects which were on the couch. I still think that it is Patrick Jane and he has a split personality.

I think Bertram is Red John and that PJ was close to catching him a couple of seasons ago in the mall but RJ was one step ahead of him with the fake RJ. This was a plan to get PJ locked up for a while as he was close.

Bertram could easily bug the CBI office and be a step ahead at all times, it's only patrick that doesn't give his plans away and that's the only way he can get close.

The tyger tyger 3 all meet in Bertrams office, which to me signals he's the more powerful of the 3 remaining suspects.

There are many of your theories that make me think it could be any of the suspects, and the last episode with Stiles essentially baptising two women with blood using the same 3 fingers RJ uses to paint his smiley face is a bit baffling. He obviously has something to do with RJ.

Kristina Frye.

She's the only living "witness" of Red John. We just assume she went to the loony bin after Red John "did something" to her to cause her to become "crazy". I'm pretty sure that PJ would have the skills to get her to snap out of it... if she was, in reality, out of it. Wasn't there another episode where PJ helped a victim who went through heavy psychological trauma to finally remember?

We know that RJ killed PJ's wife and daughter because he was offended that PJ would be so bold to pretend to be a psychic in public. Frye is challenging Patrick. Her skill is so good, that he just can't figure out how she does it. She even seduces Patrick to the point where he seriously considers moving on from his dead wife to start a relationship with her. "Red John" is obsessed with Patrick. "He" wants to replace his family with "himself".

*She has a deeper voice for a female. Watching the video where Patrick is tied up in the chair... could possibly be a woman's voice pretending to be a man.

If RJ is truly just like PJ, then he would be as skillful at misdirection and manipulation as Patrick.

If so, wouldn't everything that Patrick knows be exactly what RJ wanted him to know. The list, the tattoo, Sophie's tape that Pj found in a minute of searching, etc etc.

I cannot predict what started RJ to start killing or who he is. But remember, from what we do know, it wasn't PJ. Rather PJ insulted a serial killer. PJ put himself in the line of fire.

What if RJ has a much larger plot? Much like the joker from Batman. Chaos. Thwart law. Etc.

All I'm saying is we all have been looking to closely at what we know from RJ instead of rather why we know it and what bigger picture is there? That surely is what PJ is really thinking about. Much like we see every episode. This is just in a bigger context.
