Partridge is very dead. The dude has like 6 lines and people say hes a good actor? Stop. Partridge worked for tiger tiger fixing crime scenes to their liking . Its his job to make crime scenes look like red johns work. Thats how bertram knew him and was surprised he was dead. Red john killed him but is using jane to get the rest of tiger tiger. He literally died in front of lisbon.
I presented this theory last year when Rigsby wasn't a suspect. The episode where Jane drank the hallucinogen tea made me think that what we are watching is Jane's alternate reality.
What if: 1. Jane's wife was Laurelei (maybe she was divorcing him)
2. Jane's wife and child die in a drunk driving accident with Wayne Rigsby
3. Jane was also in the accident, which ended in an explosion
4. Jane has had to interact with the medical examiner and investigation
5. Sister Theresa Lisbon is praying for his lost soul (hence the cross that is
always around her neck)
Subtle Clues

* Toy red corvette then shows up on Rigsby's desk in another episode
* While Mashburn and Jane are joyriding in the yellow corvette, Jane was asked if
he liked the car. Jane replied that the car was the wrong color
* When Jane sees the body of Laurelei,, he says that she deserved it

Partridge Fans have been redeemed!
The woman feeding the pigeons on the bench is Summer. She got divorced, gained a lot of weight (oddly because she was doing meth at the same time). Also, the ho bought herself a new weave at the 5-and-dime. If you notice, one pigeon looks like Cho, one looks like Partridge, and one looks like Susan Darcy. Clearly if you turn over Pigeon-Cho, you will see the 666-Mark of the Beast. At the end of episode 8, Reede Smith, eats all of the pigeons, gains another 50LBS, bringing his total weight up to 645LBS, before he is gutted by Mashburn, and we know it must be Mashburn, because he's wearing Brett Partridges watch. This proves beyond anyone's reasonable doubt that Partridge is obviously Red John, and Susan Darcy is the child of Brett Stiles (Because he is old and therefore must be someones father)
