As much as I love Jane, has anyone thought of the possibility that he has multiple personalities? Everything is very convenient. Hmmm.

So this is not an elaborate theory, just some thoughts.

I think that it's suspicious that Stiles is the only suspect that we haven't seen this season. I'm not certain that he is Red John but I believe that Red John was a Visualize member at one time, or still a member. It's possible that the "tiger, tiger" conspiracy group are all Visualize members. I believe the next episode is about a murder at Visualize, I wonder if Stiles is the next Red John victim?

When considering that Bob Kirkland asked every victim "have you seen me before? Are you sure?" before killing/torturing them, I believe that Bob suspected his twin brother of being Red John. He told Jane that his brother was drinking and got sucked into a cult (Visualize) where he later became a prominent figure in the cult, mastering the con arts of manipulation and brainwashing.

Interesting that Jane and Kirkland have this conversation in episode 5.7 "If it Bleeds, it Leads"

Jane: "Do I know you?"

Kirkland: "No, But I know you!"...

Now, before Robert Kirkland tortures and or kills a suspect, he asks: "Have you ever seen me before? Are you positive?"

We recently learned this is because he has a twin brother. So why would Robert Kirkland answer with a quick No when Jane asks "Do I know you?"

It appears that Michael Kirkland has made some appearances on the show. He's probably still alive. 

I think Michael Kirkland is still alive I'm not saying he's RJ but I think he did what Hightower is doing faked her death and disappeared maybe he got his acted together and realized he messed up. It's like loralie I think RJ would have killed Michael and made it obvious , I think Patrick will research about Michael and find him to get information about Red John and I think Patrick owes Bob at least finding out what did happen to his brother, RIP BOB, decided to repost this under bob Kirkland. I don't know who red John is anymore

Bob Kirkland is dead, but it makes me wonder if Michael Kirkland is still alive? I believe he is. For one, Bob asks Jason Lennon if he recognizes him, and he says no, then Kirkland kills him. It makes no sense why Bob would have killed Lennon if he was trying to figure out who Red John was and what became of his brother. I believe Bob was convinced that Red John is his brother, and that is why he embarks on this personal crusade to take Red John out all by himself.

Also when Patrick tells Bob that he is on Patrick's list, he replies that it makes sense. This is further evidence that Bob thought his brother was Red John, because if Bob made the list, then his brother certainly would have as well.

Another thing was that Bob says that his brother was getting help from a man that changed his life, but took him away from his family. That sounds a lot like he ran into the charming fellow we know as Brett Stiles, and our favorite cult, Visualize. Michael was a drug addict, on the Visualize farm, the man running the farm where feeding the former addicts drugs. What if Michael lost it one day and went on a killing rampage? 

Finally, if Michael is an identical twin then it makes sense how he could be in all of the same places Bob was allowed to go. People would look at him and make the assumption that he was Bob with the Homeland Security clearance. Perhaps, Red John learning from Brett Stiles, is able to convince people to never publicly out him? I'm not sure.

But it makes sense, Michael grows up with a sadistic father, and falls into the same issues. As a young adult he is captivated by the charm of Brett Stiles that promises to help him overcome his issues, but also validates the evil desires within him. Remember, many people from Visualize end up killing after being manipulating by Brett Stiles. Michael tries to change, but the farm project goes terrible wrong and provides him an outlet to begin killing. Or Brett Stiles sees what a catastrophe the farms are, and convinces Michael to end it by killing the people leading the farm. But what Brett does not realize, is that he unleashed a monster. Brett's hands are tied, he unleashed Red John, but he cannot turn him in because he is the culprit behind those other murders. 

Finally, there is a lot to be said about the connection twins have. Bob, being Michael's twin recognizes from the Red John case files clues that lead him to the conclusion that Red John is his brother. What do you think?

The twin revelation was rather intriguing. I've been waiting for an evil twin and couldn't decide if it would be a 'Jane' twin or another. It throws open a few new ideas.....

Take a good look at the 'woman' feeding the pigeons on the park bench. 'She' is a Kirkland in drag - eyebrows, bone structure, forehead.....

It is also Mike Kirkland who kills Lennon in the hospital, not Bob. That is why there was no question about 'who' red John is, Mike didn't need to ask that question.  As for the 'Do you know me' question and the 'No' answer from Lennon - that was RJ's test, to ensure Lennon was still 'hypnotised' (like ALL his other minions) and that he hadn't revealed anything of importance to Lorelei, Jane or anyone else. Hypnosis 101. (RJ would ensure that his minions NEVER remember seeing him in his 'real' persona - possibly only 1 or 2 of his most trusted generals - also hypnotised though. In fact 9/10 of RJ's 'people' would have no clue what he looked like or sounded like and they wouldn't be able to identify him for toffee.

The comment to Lennon about 'hoping a friend would do this for me' - that's Mike/RJ basically saying to Lennon, 'you've been a good servant, but now you die - you're a loose end'.

And the ultimate Mike Kirkland/RJ gesture comes when Patrick arrives at the hospital to see Lennon. 'Mike' Kirkland tells Patrick that Lennon said nothing, then he starts walking away, but half stops, then takes his right hand and pats Jane on the left shoulder in a 'sympathetic' manner. Very similar to RJ patting PJ on that same left shoulder a few seasons back.

Bob Kirkland was almost 95% sure his twin was RJ, which is why he was so intent on keeping up with Jane's investigation - because however evil his brother - blood is blood: and he wanted to protect him. If Jane had got too close to exposing Mike - Bob would have 'sorted it'. 

The 5% doubt Bob had as to whether his twin was indeed RJ or not, is the reason behind Bob going after the others. He wanted to interrogate them himself, and cross them off 'Jane's list' (fake) until he knew for SURE 100%, no 5% doubt that his twin was the undisputed Red John champion of the world.

Have to think about the rest.....where the carnival fits in....etc.

Maybe more twins and lots of questions about paternity......

Now we know an important think: there is a twin brother who looks like bob kirkland working together with red john. Bob kirkland knows that his brother is alive, he lies Patrick, because the first question he ask to the suspect is Do you recognize me? Have you seen me before? In order to know if the suspect has seen his brother before. 

I think this new person has an important role in this story.
