fake red john in season 3 finale : I've been thinking , new face , new identity. 
kirkland has been red john's new face and identity ( long before season 3).
that is why he asked jason that if he seeing him before.

I´m not sure but it won´t surprise me if Kirkland was Red John. People say he can´t because it´s too obvious. What if the writers are making Bob look too obvious so people think he is not Red John but he really is? You know, hiding a truth inside a truth so it can look like a lie. Also, Bruno Heller said we will be dissappointed to know who Red John is. If Bob Kirkland really is Red John people will be dissappointed because it was very obvious. 
I don´t really think it´s him, I think Kirkland is looking for revenge against RJ or he works for him, but  I can smell the trick that the writers are playing.

RJ knows about the list of 7 suspects, definitely not magic but logical deduction just like Jane.
Kirkland is the only one that have a complete imagery of all the evidence on Jane's board.
He followed the same deduction that Jane followed and reached the same list.

I just found something that could be a major clue...

Red Sky in the Morning, season 2 finale, Jane and Red John come face to face. Red John enters, shoots the copycat killers, Jane falls to the floor in his chair, Red John cuts the victims open, lifts Jane up and recites the Tyger poem. Then he appears to go away but comes back. Then the interesting part happens.

He strokes Patrick's shoulder twice and then pats it.

Sounds familiar? Remember the episode when Rigsby was hypnotized and the only way to bring him out of his trance was by doing a certain pattern only the hypnotist knew used to make him go into such trance (the trigger)? That's episode Russet Potatoes, from season 1. What was the pattern that snapped Rigsby out of his trance? You guessed it - tapping his shoulder.

Something even crazier happened this season though. Behind the Red Curtain. Robert Kirkland and Jane are at the hospital at the beginning of the episode. Guess what.

As much as I hate to say it, Kirkland may be Red John after all. How else could he have known about the trigger?

I have a theory about that, but maybe it's way too far-fetched. I think it'd explain a few things if Red John was someone who worked at the psychiatric hospital Patrick was in after his wife and child were killed. Perhaps he was hypnotized as a patient and that was the trigger they used for their patients. That could also explain how they got to know about Patrick's happy memory without him even knowing that. Maybe Kirkland found out about the pattern too (we know he's been following Jane closely for years).

Red John is all 7 suspects and maybe more. The perfect crime.

I think that Kirkland is Red John and Red John is Alex Jane

I will not accuse anyone.I just want to point that if Bob Kirkland was RJ or was working for RJ,he would have told him about janes current hideout(the one he broke in)!I say this because RJ said in the video that he we will not stop killing until he gets to jane!
So if Bob was an assossiate of RJ Rj would have known were to find jane(alone)
