Here's how I think RJ guessed PJ's list of suspects: 
RJ told Lorelei that he shook hands with PJ. He then sent her to meet PJ, knowing PJ might extract that information from her at some point. RJ has the means to track down the people PJshook hands with. RJ's research leads to the list of 7 names, before PJ even knew about having shaken hands with him. When RJ finds out Lorelei let it slip about the shaking hands, he records the video with the list. Then he only needs to get PJ's research to confirm that the lists are the same. He only gave PJ the video because he knew his guesses were correct. Had RJ's guesses been wrong, he could simply not release the video and proceed with some other plan. We don't know how many alternative plans RJ had, we only get to see the one that succeeded.

First of all:
Jane never shook hands with these guys: Stiles, McAllister, Partridge and Smith. Rewatch all the videos when Jane first meet these people, and you will see that they nevere shook hands. So they are out from this 7 suspects list. So: Bertram, Haffner and Kirkland.
Jane can manipulate Bertram, and he seems to care too much about he's career inside CBI to be Red John. He is just an acomplice to Kirkland or maybe Red John.
Haffner is good guy, he plays after the rules, and i think he cares too much about Visualize. I don't think that he is Red John, this will be too obviously.
Kirkland will be my guess, because he has the money, the power, the position and the knowledge to create fake names, fake companies and breake into CBI security sistem without being traced.
He already breake into Jane office, and he kill Jason Lennon (season 5, ep. 18) after Kirkland ask Lennon if he recognises him. This suggest that Kirkland already knew Lennon. If Kirkland wanted Red John, he wouldn't kill Lennon.
Also, Kirkland is watching Jane from his beginning in CBI. He has a odd voice, short straight hair and he fit Red John body. (season 2 ep. 23)
Heller said that we all are gonna be disappointing, when we find out who Red John is, and i am disappointed already.

Kirkland. Just fit to me. I'll tell you why.

Kirkland always act like he has some.. I would call 'mind issues', he acts strange sometimes, like trying to understand something, very tense and nervous sometimes.

After Lorelei and Jane's kidnapping thing went off of news, he practically vanished.. Then he went through all people's name that Jane has shaken hands with and got a step ahead of him.

He 'stole' Patrick's board to assure that he was a step ahead and he could easily have gotten the happy memory from Brett Stiles (That'd be my kick, for getting his memory, when Patrick was in asylum, maybe) to hurt Patrick.

The 'damn' for me, looks like a sign of angry (Like a said, Kirkland showed some signs of unquiet) because Jane has gotten closer too much and faster than he thought Jane could be, and that's not good, although RJ said that he's going to kill again, often till one catch another because I think Jane can identify RJ very soon if RJ doesnt do anything to track Jane off. And that means (or should mean) Season 06 will be the finale.

But seeing Brett Partridge very calm when Jane arrives, is very strange either.

Btw, "RJ has powers.", just reminds me Brett Stiles. The guts to do the killing, Partridge maybe. Get away with police issues, Kirkland and Bertram. The other ones I dont mind.

Ok being a follower of many
shows I can remove two people from the list WHO coincidentally work on another
show together, they are -



Brett Stiles (Malcolm McDowell) - Plays Stanton Infeld Senior Partner on Franklin
and Bash

Ray Haffner (Reed Diamond) - Plays Damien Karp and is Stanton Infelds
nephew on Franklin and Bash



Because of the schedule of these two men who are
also on a few other shows aside from the one they work on together I highly
doubt that either one is Red John. This leaves five actors who are arguably less popular
and have probably more time to dedicate to playing the role of Red John in the
final episodes. We know that Bob Kirkland is at the very least an accomplice of
Red John but because of his current antics with the stealing of Jane’s list
info and the killing in the hospital we can assume his presence
thus far removes him from the list as Red John so this removes us to 4. Focus
on the remaining four and you have your man. Since i had to give a guess i'm throwing in a vote for Kirkland!

How come RAY HAFFNER went to RAYMOND HAFFNER which is longer right , but ROBERT KIRKLAND went to BOB KIRKLAND which is shorter just throwing it out there

I'm allmost sure that he is (Kirkland). Here is why I think he is.

As many of you already may think, I think also that Patrick is playing a con on RJ with the list of the seven names. And also the "happy memory" thing, the only thing that could make sense I believe is that Jane tricked RJ to believe that, Jane knows how the reading works, so he could have make him believe that (I really don't know how exactly). Besides that a guy who uses a memory palace WOULD NEVER use such a extensive display of information supossed to be confidential, that's why when his investigation room was compromised he smiled, he wanted it to happen to make RJ think he is one step ahead.

The list that Jane gave to RJ is phony characters + Real RJ, because if he is not there he would notice that somethings off, he knows that Jane would never discard the real one.

The most surprising thing is that wether Lisbon is with RJ or Jane is fooling Lisbon on purpose, he told her that was a happy memory (and acording to this theory, he made up the theory for RJ, why would he tell her that?). THE F*ING INJURE ON LISBON HAND where did that come from? Why he doesn't ask much about it (maybe because he knows something that we don't). Why would Jane act so frustrated to Lisbon  (only the two of them were in the room) when he shows her the video of Lorelei. That makes me think that he needs to fool Lisbon, but WHY?? Is she the RJ informant or Jane just wants to keep her in the dark? Craig O'Laughlin did not shot her in a vital spot.

So, narrowing the names :

Sheriff McAllister and Reed are just fillers.
Brett Partridge is just FanService.
Kirkland, Brett Stiles, Ray Haffner and Gale Bertram are the real tough list.

Haffner doesn't look like the guy who could manipulate someone and neither a group.
Bertram is so full of himself and commits various childish mistakes, I don't think he is either.

So is wether Brett Stiles or Kirkland

Pro Brett : He fits too damn well the profile.

BUT

Why would Lorelei say "it was a wonder you two didn't became best friends when you shook hands" because SHE knows they aren't friends so discard Brett Stiles, because it seems both of them are having fun with eachother so that's why I (in my opinion) think of them as play buddys.

So I think it has to be Kirkland.

Ok here goes:

       Red John has:
                               Brett Partridge: A lab geek like dexter, but covers up any identity traces RJ may have left at the scene

                                Ray haffner: A CBI agent and probably old friend from when RJ was with visualize

                               Brett Stiles: A cult leader, but RJ has something over his or Visualizes head or just loyalty to his former member. (But I believe Visualize does a lot of the dirty work for Red John...Stile's help with Lorelie is proof of this power)


                              FBI Agent Reed: an/the FBI informant

                              Sheriff McAlister: Local Law Enforcement (probably in the same area where RJ actually lives)

                            Gale Bertram: Friend of RJ

   and the one who controls the strings is Robert "Bob" Kirkland aka Red John

All 7 are guilty of crimes big and small...I guess next season will be the elimination of all these guys. So it looks like we will have 7 episodes that will eliminate 5 and the finale will come down to 2...either Bertram or Kirkland...maybe..just a guess.
